In this video our greyhounds Scout and Luka go to the RRG Summer barbecue and go for a little stroll along the banks of the river Tweed in Peebles.

It’s great to see Scout and Luka having such fun together. I’m glad Luka blended so well into your family. Keep the awesome videos coming. We enjoy each one more than the last. We also continue to watch all of the prior Magnus videos as well. He will always be our greyhound rehoming ambassador. He was the one that brought about our aware ness of such organizations.

Oh i do love Greyhounds!! Our sweet Rosie went over the rainbow at the end of april, we miss her. My husband died in February and she was his dog, well she loved him. She was 14.1/2 years old so quite a good age. Weve now rescued a Whippet cross Lurcher called Ruby shes settled in well. Xxx

So sorry for the loss of your Rosie and your husband. 14 and a half is such a great age to get to. Our magnus just missed out on reaching 12. They are such special pups.

Seeing your pups thriving brings me such joy! The rescue I got my boy Hogs from holds their picnic in September. Its an event I look forward to every year. It’s a great way to raise money and let the dogs have fun! TFS and have a beautiful Sunday! ❤🐾

Yes, they do! I was at that barbecue and our hound was really quite disappointed that he never got any of the food! So when we got home we gave him some soft cheese in his Kong as a reward for being so well behaved ❤
Some of the pups got some of their hoomans burgers. Scout and Luka got a bit each.
I'm still missing Magnus, never seemed pull out the leash. Luka seems quite like him. Good he has accostumed to home living so well.
We miss a lot and we are always talking about him and sharing stories of his exploits. Magnus walked great on lead, barely had to hold the lead and he would walk by my side. Luka has some traits which are similar to Magnus. He has done a great job settling in after the rough start he had. Thanks again for watching. Not sure if you follow Magnus on Instagram but I have lots of short clips of him on there.
@@magnusgreyhoundI missed the sad news and the change in your pack. Having been through a bereavement with a remaining dog, and at that stage unable to provide her with a new companion, I am happy to see that Scout has a new bro! Long may they enjoy their walks with you!

Pretty much. Magnus was not allowed as he had sleep startle. Scout never had any interest. It's now Luka's go to spot.

Hi! So good to see both dogs and parents having a good time. BBQ looked delicious. Wish I were there.
Lots of black dogs on the walk. Does your adoption group specialize in blacks? I don't understand why they are the last to be adopted. I have a black dog, apparently mostly border collie but no greythound. I only problem I have have is that I cannot see him in the dark. Long hair and constant shedding are also a problem but not exclusive to black dogs.

We had a great time at the BBQ. Our rehoming charity tends to have a lot of black Greyhounds come to us. Our challenge is never colour based as we find homes for lots of black greyhounds. Our biggest challenge tends to be the bigger greyhounds like Magnus as people here tend to want the smaller greyhounds.
What's this - all the 2-leggers stuffing their faces with nice-smelling delicacies while we gotta watch?!
Quite a few of the burgers were getting shared with our four legged friends
