Piha beach is pretty special. Most beaches on the West Coast of New Zealand have rich black volcanic sand that will burn your feet from the heat in mid summer.
Capricorn One, the movie you couldn't think of. About a fake Mars landing conspiracy where the astronauts have to escape through the desert! Anyway, the combination of landscape and potrait in this shoot is brilliant. There was form and shape to the images even as landscape photographs, which is pretty difficult to achieve on its own, and then adding in the human subject. You have great vision.
Beautiful shots. I did my first proper Sunset shoot this week and I just loved it. Don’t think I quite got my exposures right I wasn’t sure with a family of four quite how to get everybody exposed correctly. However, I did learn how important it was to edit. ❤
What a locaaation ! This is so Beautiful, the backlit photos are Amazing , but i reaaally loved the second part where she was front lit with that dark rock you were framing behind her !!! Insane !!! You killed agaaaaiiin !
I learn that bounce lights for subject is key that way you wouldn't compromise the beauty of the sunset I THINK YOUR SKIES ARE TO BLOWN.. but just my opinion you did great thought

Excellent! It is snowing here in Colorado, so I appreciate the warm sunset and beach scene. I see you like your adapted prime lenses for the models. What is the B cam that you use for yourself? It looks like a wider angle lens compared to you 35 and 50.
@@inyourfayes I have tried off camera flash but it's quite tricky in these situations.. One needs a softbox and a modifier and defuser.. But if you practice enough I guess one can get it looking really special..

I'm a novice in photography, and I wonder how u can get both the beautiful sun set and bright model in the same pic😭 I mean when I shoot face the sunset the object I wanna shoot is always dark, and when object is bright enough, the sky is completely white and over expose😭 How did u do that? Or u use Lr to fix it?

Hey! I made sure to expose for the background. And then in the editing I bring her back. By bringing up the shadows and exposure 😄

Use a flash to light your subject
