this is awsome, when I started looking at data I was so lost but with pivot tables and pivot charts not only do I understend the data I can show campaign progress to my clients in an easy to understand way.
Excellent tutorial, thanks mate. Would be really interested to hear some of your 'go-to' pivot tables reports that you pull monthly/quarterly for analysis or for showing clients during meetings.
Nice video. The Average CPC part doesn't seem right though. What happens if Campaign A has 1,000 clicks and an average CPC of £1, and Campaign B has 1 click and an average CPC of £10? The average of those two CPCs is £5.50, but the average CPC across both campaigns is £1.01. I use a formula in the pivot-table that is something like =if(clicks0,cost/clicks,0)
I think it could be returning a wrong answer when we sum up individual cpcs and directly take average? A right way to do it should be sum of cost/ sum of clicks?
This was really helpful thank you - can i ask if i want to update the raw data on a weekly or monthly basis, how would i import the updated raw data without messing the pivot tables up?

Do you do this every time you use an average? For example, average CPC and average conv rate?

In this instance, I would use calculated fields to accurately define the average of any of these averaged items (ie., CPC, CTR, CVR, etc).
I like it! Thank you
I would like more content on the specific analysis - case study- analysing raw data and giving conclusions
Hi Kyra, thanks for watching. More videos on this coming soon, but I have campaign optimising with examples in my course on my website
