The aya neo 2 is probably the best looking handheld I ever seen. It’s just beautiful. I went with the ally because it’s cheaper, I can buy or return right to Best Buy, and I got a good deal on the xg mobile which I can’t use on any other handheld. If these Aya neo, Onexplayer, and gpd win were sold locally at like a micro center or Best Buy or somthjng, I would be much more tempted. I bought the Onexplayer mini pro when it was in pre order and it took months to arrive and when I had an issue with it I had to fix it myself, because I’m not waiting months for it to ship back and forth from china. Steam deck and the ally will dominate imo mostly because price and Availability
Yep, i ordered an aokzoe a1 pro when it was on indiegogo still ago, came 6 days ago, played it a bit and returned it, bought the rog ally and all i can say , aokzoe a1 pro has a very big screen with very good resolutuon and performance, but the rog ally is cheaper, better os updates(armoury crate and my asus) , and slimer+ the fan is so quiet i almost never hear it when i play, its cold, and overall a better handheld.
If you like burning off your fingers then yeah
It is indeed up to this day even though I just bought an Ally I still bought it as 2s has smaller bezels and much more compact and feels nicer in the hands (ladies you know the procedures) now to get rid of the Ally...
@@The_Theist_Scientist I had 3 allies nothing but problems, between launch and October anyway, maybe they’re better now. I have the legion go and deck oled now but use the deck 90 percent of the time real nice device
They need to add vrr
Lost me at $949 for the device lol
It’s worth it, sounds can cook an egg on that screen, literally
For a portable PC supposed to be essentially better than a laptop, it is massively still worth it, especially since you can get 2-4 TB preinstalled (plus 32-64GB of DDR5 RAM) for I think under $1,500.
So, it’s hugely customizable in that regard. If it’s too much though, the other handhelds are priced pretty well and perform pretty well for their price point as well.
The main appeal is not needing to lug around a giant laptop to get the power you want, plus mainly people are interested in gaming with these, so have the power to play what they want with mid range settings and a simple extra battery bank (because all handhelds and laptops lock their max power if they’re ‘not plugged into an outlet’. Thankfully with Type-C, you can cheat that with a simple battery bank)
Finally, at the end of the day, I’m pretty sure you can do payment plans for these if it’s too much to stomach forking out at once (would not recommend doing payment plans if you actually don’t have it though, never take that risk)
Anything below $2000 is the sweet spot
Steam deck is for poor people.
@@thomaszinecker1785 This is the same thing except storage. There hasn’t been an upgraded GPU for handhelds yet.
if i were you buy the asus rog ally.
Is it alright now? The last time i check me and buddy test it at local gamestore
He play Forza Horizon 5 only like bout 2 minutes in and it already crash
You’d be making the right move
On point ❤
I feel price justifies the ally
200-300 dollars difference? Half day salary difference?😂
@@Supercow-vb8scbro thats much,tf you talkin about mr rich guy
@@Supercow-vb8sc699 is the same price as the geek tho
I like that most of this also applies perfectly to the lenovo legion go. The legion go does even more though IMO. Idk why everyone is sleeping on the FPS mode. Its literally a mouse that detatches from the device. Its not just for fps either. You can use it for literally anything you might use a mouse for on a pc. Makes certain games actually playable too.
I’m still concerned with the Legion Go with comfortability. It was pretty bulky when I used it, and if the main point of it is for gaming if you want, what’s that going to mean come game time?
I’d probably have my mind made up better if the demo game that was on the one I tried wasn’t stupid space game. As if space fights aren’t troublesome enough on a normal PC, let’s put it as the demo for the new handhelds with zero instructions. No way that can go wrong -_-. (Honestly wish the demo stations would be more useful. I saw a Ally demo station the other day, and it had no game loaded up on it at all, just the default plain and boring windows which, yeah, we know, it can run windows. How else does it work?)
I like how it’s a full screen compared to the ROG ally
Yeah and it is $300 more expensive so for sure you will get a better item. But I don’t understand the external gpu, who buy that? If some going to spend $1k on the device and another $1k on the gpu and then get a Monitor, controller, Mouse and keyboard, isn’t it better to just go buy a gaming desktop or even a laptop? I have a gaming desktop and I have the Asus Ally but the only reason I bought it because I travel for work a lot and frequently the flight takes 10 or 12 or 15 hours, before I bought it, I couldn’t wait until I arrive to my destination but now with this I don’t even feel the time. At home I barely teach it
Some review said the screen is hot. The temp reach around 134°F/55°C.. nah Man, I love my not burned hand alright
Every handheld I have tried GPD Win 4 rog ally both have hot screens I think it's because the space is so tight between the apu and the screen the screen acts as a heatsink 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What game is that @ 0:20 ?
Hi Ash, how did you source this... website? How much did it cost. Im planning to buy, so all things considered which should i go for ally or aya?
Launched officially in uae... Bought it here from sharafdg... launching on 7th in India... Preorders from 12th
Hai bro 😊😊😊..
Nice video bro ❤️❤️❤️
I hope you do a vid with the ayaneo 2s with an EGPU. Very curious. :)
I know you probably want to see bench marks, but as a Ayaneo Geek + 3070 Ti eGPU user. I can say proudly Its like having a NSwitch on steroids, i absolutely love it. You may not get the full performance of the card due to PCI-E lane limitations through USB-4 but you still get a good chunk and like mentioned in the video, doing the Console + eGPU is a cheaper vs the Ally, plus the card in Asus proprietary eGPU is a laptop card vs with the AYA I’m using a desktop class card and can up or downgrade it as i see fit. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk lol
@@pelehosmusic i have a 3080. I was just curious of the significant performance upgrade. I have been spoiled by my desktop even at 4k however I am concerned I will get significantly worse performance. I see mixed reviews with using an EGPU. But if I can get at least laptop 4070 performance out of it, I think that would be acceptable.
I plan to bring the Ayaneo on the go then when I get home use it as a desktop PC with the EGPU. Can you tell me about the fps difference if possible?
@@AlfaM03 I run it that exact way, I’m a-bit less worried about some performance loss simply because i value the convertibility of desktop to a handheld. But yea there is some performance loss, however it ultimately depends on the power profile you use with the AYANEO, a worst case scenario is COD, runs amazing with no problems at 1080p using the max power profile, but if i set it to the balanced profile the game becomes unplayable, but this is the only game to show this kind of behaviour. On the 6800U models of the AYANEO and I imagine its not different with 7000 series models, setting the power profile to balanced locks the cpu freq to 2.7ghz, and using the exc. profile allows the cpu to reach its full 4.7ghz frequency. So it will ultimately depend if you would like to set a profile and leave it, or if you don’t mind swapping it when going to handheld play. That said the only bottleneck is the PCI-E bandwidth of USB-4 or the type of cable used, Thunderbolt 3 cables have to be very short in order to achieve max bandwidth, whereas Thunderbolt 4 can be up to 6ft in length before the bandwidth starts to degrade. If you get a egpu enclosure I recommend the SonnetTech 750ex, it has a built in usb hub, supports thunderbolt 4 cables, and supplies up to 100w to the device plugged in for charging, and its less expensive than ones from Razor or Asus
Wow I love it. But due to budget issue i am planning to sell my laptop to buy this. Can I install Ms office in this console, as i am selling my laptop to buy it.
yup.. but office on this from factor is not gonna be a good experience bro
@@C4ETech thankyou ash, i love your UA-cam videos.
@@C4ETech Ashwin sir, can i connect it to external display for using MS office.
Yup definitely... Look up fonebook
I hear it over heats
How long does the ayaneo 2s battery last?
2hrs max if high settings
Up to 3-4 hrs on low graphics depending on game.
Did you order the Ayaneo 2s from Indigogo? And how soon did it arrives? What about the import duty on it for India?
@C4ETech looking forward to hearing from you.. Thank you
From china to india, about a month and a half,if you have badluck maybe 2 and a half.
@@RandomHandheldEnjoyerdid you order one? Import duty? Currently it is 48%? What was your experience
@@VarunPilankar sadly i hadnt, my friend did, thats all i know sadly.
@@RandomHandheldEnjoyer It would be great to get some clarity from your friend.. I would really appreciate it! I being eyeing up on 2s for it's USB4 support which will work like a charm with my dock. But to not clear about the total to keep for the final unit. I'm stuck!
It's also nearly twice as expensive buy a company without a clear track record for long-term customer support. Will Ayaneo be providing support 3-5 years from now? I know Asus will.
how is 699 to 999 "almost twice" as expensive?
not saying the 2s is better... I love my ally, I dont have my 2s anymore... so u can see what I chose.. but that doesnt mean the 2s is without advantages... actually its more like the ally has its disadvantages.. for ex. for someone who wants to use the handheld as a single stop gaming solution, with an egpu... then the ally is just a no go for me... wayyy tooo expensive..
@@C4ETech The ROG Ally is £599, and I have seen the Ayaneo 2S in my market for £999. It's "close", not twice as expensive. The Ayaneo is a luxury product with a luxury price, but speaking as someone who would only use this as a handheld, the Ally is so much better.
Fair enough in your case I guess but For most people, as of when this video was uploaded it was 699 vs 999... USD... So didn't see it as almost twice... And ya it's a luxury, in an area where prices drop so frikkin fast... My recommendation is almost always buy last gen used... Personally picking up a win max 2 6800u used... For about $500 😁
You forgot the most important factor: Price
Everyone who says this screams: The steam deck is for poor people.
very expensive 😢
1. ayaneo is expensive
2. no one Buy Handheld just to convert it as PC! (If i can build Gaming PC why Should I buy Handheld)
3. Ayaneo Release Product Constantly that makes older model Left behind and They prioritize New Product for System Update and other Updates on device! That means you need to constantly Upgrade!
You also get to support a small company
Have fun with getting it Is warranted...or returned ..or play a $40-50 shipping fee to send it back..or getting updates...because they put so many out...there products are out dated in 4 months. Lol
@jaynosowsky9708 yeah those are valid downsides
@@jaynosowsky9708I treat these as disposable objects if I break one that's it it's going to the trash though the joysticks would be useful spare parts
I have the aya neo 2 and rog ally. I wouldn't get the 2s though. Still only has a 60hz screen for like like double the price of the ally. The battery life on my neo 2 is noticeably better than the ally though.
Actually 2s has a lot better cooling since A LOT of people complained about the heating issue on og ayaneo 2... Plus more powerful proccessor, Unfortunately it's still 60hz but most 3A titles won't hit 60fps anyway (yeah I know that older or indie games can easily achieve 120 fps but they had to keep the cost down on an already expensive device)... Plus the new Aya space 2 software is cherry on top.
I think the 2s refresh justifies it's price more than the og 2... But still since they are almost identical, no need to upgrade...
Brother if you get some free time.. Please tell me how's your experience with ayaneo 2 does far... Not a lot of youtubers cover that device, plus I want to buy one too... Just wanted to know if you ever faced any serious issues and how did you handle them... Would you recommend it more over rog ally or something like that...
Thanks in advance, have a nice day.
Good point. Really does drive me nuts so many handhelds limited their displays to 60hz. Yeah, a lot of them can’t get the games too far beyond 60FPS, but by limiting the display to
60FPS, they won’t fully come near 60FPS as many can at low to mid settings. (Which can cause a lag by being suddenly stopped like that)
The Steam Deck OLED 90HZ screen was a great compromise which makes sure there’s no bottlenecking done at all. No it’s not powerful enough to hit 90FPS, but the games can run freely with that much extra room.
@@inbuiltablecrow7553 What do you mean ? Plenty of UA-camrs have covered the aya neo 2.
Ally ❤
BUT ITS 60hz thats a deal breaker for me !
Why cost compare when you selected two wildly different eGPUs? Of course a desktop 4090 is going to be more expensive than your selected 4070
No mate i selected the xgmobile 4090 which is the laptop version and a desktop 4070ti - look it up… they perform about the same
@@C4ETech gotcha. If only GPU naming conventions weren’t so disturbingly misleading and vague
The Asus has the Z1 AMD God Chip making it way better.
Here's some worst things ...no 1080p , no 120hz refresh rate, no V V R, and no freesync..and cost $350 more!! And you get so much less.

fair enough... no sir pls bro :)
Technically 25 percent higher since youre comparing the change in battery size from the rog to the Aya....
I dont have many friends
yup, ur right - my bad :)
£699 ROG ally vs £1200 for the ayaneo that's chinese and will be out of date in 2 month. When they bring the ayaneo 3 or ayaneo 2c or some shit
Who in his right mind uses that e GPU with the ally ?? For that price I can get a way better gaming laptop and a monitor and m&k
💀💀💀💀💀 the rog ally has a better design and better design
The question though if your device has a defect is you need to send it for repair how long does it take for them to fix or replace tour unit? Another thing, how about the customer service experience?
Customer service Is terrible for ayaneo and took around a month to fix my device
Where are you from ? I didn't understand your English
perfect paid reviewer 😂 #Thiruttusquad funda
what's paid? how about you gimme some facts? lemme know what was incorrect?
Yow bro Ivara ilukaathinga he is knowledgeable person but not TT

And costs twice as much. Not worth it.
Dont buy from aya neo.worst company ever i bought from.no warranty support,no customer services, updates are not existences, overheating screen, battery stop charging after 6 months of use and comunicate with aya neo trough email and their solution is reboot the system which i did like 20 times and problem persist until this day.my air pro works only plug to an outlet and my aya neo 2 b duck limited edition over heat all the time:screen and internals.
Here we go again another channel Do not buy Rog rally I return 3 of them already back to best buy do not buy you have been warn!!!!
AtwoD ❤🎉
What about performance bro?
Also the ayaneo 2s
Ayaneo 2s has to option to upgrade RAM to 32GB to allow you to run the 3A games more smoothly
The steam deck OLED and the Rog Ally are better
Kithe re gaya.? Aya ni o? 🥹
I return 3 rog rally lol
