Given that you recorded the commentary on Friday, why the F did it take you until Sunday to put up the video, after you had already spoiled the result by showing the winner in the wrap-up show? This would have been a really exciting round to watch if you hadn't sucked all the drama out of it.
I don't have any problem with them posting the wrap-up sooner; I understand it's much easier to edit. But FFS, don't post Jerm holding the trophy as the thumbnail. Usually a defend Spin TV when people accuse them of spoiling results in the thumbnail, but that was just ridiculous.
Ha ha, good one! Never heard that joke before! As I said, I usually defend this channel (and others) when people complain that it takes them too long to edit together these excellent condensed broadcasts with all the useful onscreen graphics, or when they post a thumbnail of the final round leader throwing the disc for the final round and, surprise, the final round leader won the tournament. That said, they made a mistake here. I'm willing to bet the Spin TV folks themselves would acknowledge that having Jerm holding the trophy as the thumbnail for the wrap-up show was a mistake. It doesn't diminish the value of what Spin TV provides, nor my or others' appreciation for it, to point out that they made a mistake.
People are complaining an awful lot about free, high quality coverage. Thank you, Spin TV staff for what you do. Some of us do appreciate it. Congrats to Big Jerm on the win.
For future reference, please dont upload the "Final day wrapup" with the thumbnail of the winner. Kind of spoiled the winner of the tournament when you havent yet uploaded the final 9 footage...
Thanks for putting the trophy winner picture on the "wrap up" video, so that while I'm watching this video there is absolutely zero suspense. Great, great work.
+The SpinTv Aside from the spoiler, great coverage and commentary. Eagle falling off in the last few holes, i saw his psych game fall to pieces. I hope he gets his footing and comes back in the new year as a contender.
Thoroughly enjoyed the coverage, but PLEASE, it would have been really nice to be able to have watched the back 9 without having the results spoiled by a wrap-up show with the "#/(¤ winner in the thumbnail. I can understand that you feel its more important to post that before the final play, but please think about how you post incredibly spoilery material before you do.
I think Spin TV (and DGWT) need to consider that since there is no live coverage, many people want to watch the edited versions without knowing the results. This makes it as close to "live" as you can get in this situation. So, you must make sure not to spoil it with these post round wrap ups, etc, before you post the actual round. I remember an episode of Seinfeld where Jerry recorded a sporting event and was telling everyone around him to not tell him the results - this is pretty much the same thing.
SPOILER: So disappointed that eagle couldn't put this one away. He played so well to have that run of bad luck on hole 13. Congrats to the winner, but that's a real bummer.
yea i agree, especially since they never finished the tournament. Ricky, Nico, and Eagle still had a chance in hard, windy, conditions. Damn hurricanes!
Obviously, my thoughts on uploading this final 9 coverage as the very last video of the tournament are the same as everyone else's. Commenting on the play though, this is one of the most exciting final 9s I've ever seen. It's been increasingly evident this year that Ricky is one of the smartest players out there today. It's a shame that the last round was canceled, cause the way he was playing here was setting him up to have a great chance of winning.
Kind of realized today that I shouldn't whine about free coverage for a sport I love. Sorry I complained a little about the spoiler on other videos. I still watched ;)
I wanted to see Eagle win, he played so well before the final 9, but he didn't play smart golf. The hazard still cost him many strokes that could have kept him in the lead or at least tied. He should have played safe at first and made Jerm make a move. Congrats Jerm!
Good commentary. Great production value. Gave away the plot line though by showing Koling with the trophy on another clip. C'mon guys, you are trying to tell a story with your videos, dont forget that.
Will you please please please re cut the Wysocki Ace on 17 into a new seperate video. The full flights shown in this video are endlessly more impressive than the 1/2 tee 1/2 catch cam angle that was shown on SC top 10.
It's great to see the final round action. So much drama cannot be conveyed by Tweets, short Facebook posts and Instagram photos. Those are not good enough for live coverage of such an important competition. Maybe the USDGC and Jusi need to come up with a better plan for live coverage next year or get a divorce so they can be free to make their own choices for media coverage. I realize that Winthrop has a lot of tradition and history but I really don't like ropes and manicured grass for a Disc Golf Championship. I'm prejudiced. I learned to play disc golf at DeLaveaga. I believe disc golf courses should be mostly about natural features and organic hazards and leave the ropes to the water skiers and the manicured grass to ball golfers. Just my opinion. Jamie and Avery are good hosts but could be better commentators if they viewed the video and prepared notes for certain key turning points in the round. So much seems to be ad-libbed, and that is OK up to a point. CCDG is the best at that. Don't try to imitate what Ian can do without trying. But when you blow past important turning points or miss obvious score swings or miss commenting on great (or not so great) shots it seems like you are not paying attention to the critical action. To be fair many commentators do this but you two are not up to the standard of the Jomez videographers and editors. They are the best in the sport... at least in the US. The high quality shooting and editing deserves better commentating. I make these criticisms with the intention of giving accurate feedback so you all can raise up the level of disc golf coverage. This is the only sport I watch and the only one I now play. I want it all to get better and if you don't have people to give you honest feedback then there will be less insight into how to improve. The courses I enjoy playing the most are those that are less about "a walking path in the park" and more about "finding your own path home" through the rocks, bushes and trees. I do appreciate all the hard work. Keep working at it. P.S. How long is it going to take Paul to figure out what's wrong with his focus?
OB you return the disc to where it crossed over the ob line and throw while adding an additional stroke to your score for the hole. Hazard you still add a stroke but play the disc from where it lies.
My gosh. I like Eagle as much as anybody but you can constructive criticize his play on 13. I would want my teammates to do that Jamie and AJ. And this being released on Sunday is the cherry on top for awful media coverage for the weekend. Why freeze all other people out if a wrap up show is released 24 hours before the final 9. I guess there is always next year to learn from mistakes but awful way to market the final stop of the "Disc Golf World Tour". Bad week across the board for Spin TV.
I've seen 3 time USDGC champion and PDGA Hall of Famer Barry Schultz meltdown on that hole while leading in the second round of 2013 USDGC, so it can happen to anybody. I'm pretty sure he didn't hear any "constructive criticism."
Jamie or Avery, It is ok. I posted this three months ago. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Thanks for the work that yall do. No need to hide behind an anon account. Zach

Funny when Jerm's mini rolled away on 11 right after his disc did the same thing. All the roped off OB, how to make a dull course appear ok. Surely they have a better course than this...
I wonder what made Eagle play so risky on 13.. :/ Take a par or even bogey there with calm play, you still have 1-3 stroke lead. Of course succesful birdie he basicly nails it but if worst happens, what happened now, you are playing ketchup.
He makes that mistake throughout the course. Needlessly aggressive on Hole 9. Needlessly aggressive on Hole 18. Could have taken a snowman at worst on 13 if he doesnt go full Tin Cup. If he goes mid/mid on Holes 9 and 18, and plays for par on 13, he's probably the USDGC champ that year.
Hoooo boy. Of all the player profile pictures, Nikko just looks AWFUL! That barely even looks like him. It's actually worse than Sexton's DGWT Profile.
complain, complain, rant, complain, rant, complain, cry, booooooo hoooo. If you want to lash out direct your anger at nature it is the enemy here, it won't mind. People do, however. Hide behind your screen, while actual people brave the storms to feed you high definition disappointment free of charge.
Alberto Poisson I'm pretty sure your alliterative, non sequitur non-answer is a window into your brain. "...brave the storms..." Ha ha ha! Now, that's rich!
Thanks for all the HARD WORK Spin TV!!!!!
Thanks Jamie. Thanks Avery. Thanks SpinTV.
Please note that the commentary was recorded before we knew that the 4th had to be cancelled.

Lots of butthurt in the comments, fantastic
Glad you all finally got this up!! Great coverage this week!! Congrats to big jerm. Very very well deserved champion
Great job Spin TV.. Minus the Spoilers, not letting viewers know when someone throws into hazards, and no live coverage. 7/10
People are complaining an awful lot about free, high quality coverage. Thank you, Spin TV staff for what you do. Some of us do appreciate it. Congrats to Big Jerm on the win.
Great job covering this tournament! Congrats to the local for the win!
SpinTV. YES VINTAGE FOOTAGE YES. PLEASE. I NEVER TYPE IN ALL CAPS BUT I'M DOING IT NOW BECAUSE YES!!!!! Please, vintage footage would be so cool.
Awesome coverage, you guys are awesome.
Great coverage as always. I feel bad for Eagle but Mr. Koling was just so solid and smart. Congrats to him!
when the scores where posted for the hole it wasn't slow enough to get a good look and the leaderboard as well
Would be nice to know when the players are in the hazard. It wasn't always obvious. Prodigy's videos always just puts up a little "OB" visual.
Instablaster...
Great of you to cover this in the conditions
Good work SpinTV! Thank you for the quality coverage! Too bad you spoiled it for me with the wrapup thumbnail :(
For future reference, please dont upload the "Final day wrapup" with the thumbnail of the winner. Kind of spoiled the winner of the tournament when you havent yet uploaded the final 9 footage...
Thanks for all the spoilers, the ace movie, the movies that sums up the days. GJ GJ :( Only by looking at tumbnail this was fucked up!
I dig the coverage guys!
Thanks for putting the trophy winner picture on the "wrap up" video, so that while I'm watching this video there is absolutely zero suspense. Great, great work.

Let's be honest... that wasnt bad luck, that was just really bad golf play.
Nice round Nikko and Jerm

When Avery says it's a righty world I'm like then why am I lefty 😂
I wanted to see Eagle win, he played so well before the final 9, but he didn't play smart golf. The hazard still cost him many strokes that could have kept him in the lead or at least tied. He should have played safe at first and made Jerm make a move.
Congrats Jerm!
so unlucky from eagle... could have played smarter though, after things werent going his way
What's that yellow disc Nikko was using for putts? Looks too glossy to be a wizard.
Good commentary. Great production value. Gave away the plot line though by showing Koling with the trophy on another clip. C'mon guys, you are trying to tell a story with your videos, dont forget that.
Disc Golf Park narrator is on par with this commentary...a few lessons and a bit of practice would go a long way.
Good voice.. but it bugged me every time he read 'signage' with a hard G. Sig-nij.
Will you please please please re cut the Wysocki Ace on 17 into a new seperate video. The full flights shown in this video are endlessly more impressive than the 1/2 tee 1/2 catch cam angle that was shown on SC top 10.
Where mcBeth are?
The McBeth Innova ads are funny to watch now lmao
Thanks for your hard work. Great coverage. They fucked this event up
18 more holes! Oh wait... congrats big jerm

I like the Paul McBeth Innova commercial lol.
Hey can someone tell me the difference between OB and Hazard? Thanks
OB you return the disc to where it crossed over the ob line and throw while adding an additional stroke to your score for the hole. Hazard you still add a stroke but play the disc from where it lies.
ProfessorLiterate oh ok thanks!
Ricky shanks half of his shots what saves him is his putting and his sidearm hard
Harp*
Where did the final round go? This is the 3rd round coverage now.
Triple circle ten. Dam Avery.
Two words for everyone complaining about "spoilers:" Waaa-aaaah.

Its good to see Germ bringing it home to the Carolinas!
jerm
Eagle pulled a Tin Cup on 13
It kinda felt like the players knew that this was the final round
I wonder what made Eagle play so risky on 13.. :/ Take a par or even bogey there with calm play, you still have 1-3 stroke lead. Of course succesful birdie he basicly nails it but if worst happens, what happened now, you are playing ketchup.

Big Jerm was nice with it back then. In his prime
Hole 15 didn't need the clown mouth. It was a difficult 500'+ dogleg left with a low ceiling.
The whole layout is gimmicky, so the clown mouth fits.
I like when Eagle hit the lattice work and Nikko says "break it". They obviously hate the gimmicks.
It's not a hole
I really like this style of coverage.these days I get annoyed by the scorecards and all the stats
Lots of talking, but missing play by play of a lot of the shots..
19:37 lol. Obviously short.
Welp... Eagle blew that one. Jerm is one of the last guys you want to have to come from behind on. You gotta make him make the mistake.
I bet if Eagle knew it was the final round he would've played a little more "lead protecting" disc golf.
Chris davies should be trolling in 3,,2,,,
1?
Boom
Just clueless...But thanks for the video!
That McBeth Innova commercial is kinda cringeworthy 4 years later. "I don't see myself doing anything else." lulz
i was looking to see if anyone else noticed that
Across"t"
Sensitive much? I guess so.
Hoooo boy. Of all the player profile pictures, Nikko just looks AWFUL! That barely even looks like him. It's actually worse than Sexton's DGWT Profile.
Not worse than Sexton's death row pic.
Eagle nooooooo
get that microphone outta the way
Course design weak af
My god does GOOD commentary make a difference.

Absolutely absent, alright!
