Thank you for welcoming my wife and I this past weekend. Looking forward to growing my black pine we purchased, and learning more from your online U. Wonderful garden I was honored to see first hand. Thanks!
Remarkable trio of trees. What an honor and a challenge - and what trust the owner has in you! - to style a legacy Diazon Iwasaki white pine. So glad you had been gifted the spirit of his guidance! It was meant to be.
Thanks for another great demo. Big cuts and a beautiful rebalancing of a beautiful specimen. Perspective reveals powerful result. Minimal simplicity with natural effect. Nice work gentlemen.
I can't imagine what it must feel like working on such impresive trees, I get a feeling of reverence working on my 5 year old bonsai, this must feel otherworldly. I admire your work a lot.
Hi Bjorn, you improved this pine immensely. I do see that there's an ugly grafted area on the trunk that was previously hidden by the low branch and is now much more visible. What are your thoughts on that?
Tobias didnt seem too happy to see that branch go!! I can imagine the previous conversation: Bjorn: "let's cut the directional branch" - Tobias: "Over my dead corpse!!" :) The tree looks stunning now!!
That was a gift! Or......probably just what he tells his wife 🤣 AMAZING TREE! . I have a few brussels trees in my collection and they are all superb condition trees. Great job guys
Have you consider telling about the age of the tree’s that you are presenting ? That has always been a curiosity for me when I look at a bonsai tree. The endurance amazes me. Anyhow, I tough that could be a fun fact to be added ☺️ Beautiful garden 💚
Are you planning on doing any further work to the branch you just jinned (burn, lime suflur mixed with ink)? I have a small mugo that I am going to jin some branches on this fall.
Love your content always Bjorn.. I think you’re well on your way coming into your own here in US .. I prefer you better stylistically , personality , esthetic etc.
I have the Takasago - An book on loan with me and 5 needle pines are my favorite plants, looks much improved and in line with Iwasaki Daizo style. Is this a Himekomatsu white pine or Miyajima?
It's funny you know, there are no trees that look like that in nature. Most bonsai imo look like trees we would draw on a piece of paper, or we see in cartoons/animation. I've never seen a tree like these bonsai in nature. Go look and see for yourself, take a drive anywhere and you'll se most trees are scraggly uneven natural chaos masterpieces, or they will often be just straight up symmetrical beauties as in the case of some pines and conifers.
There are different styles. In Japanese gardens you’ll see plants inspired by clouds or mountains and other things in nature, not necessarily trees. This one is more traditional like that. Walter Pall or Ryan Neil do more natural bonsai where it’s supposed to look like an ancient tree. In the US we’re lucky to have Eisei-en and Mirai to show the whole range of what you can do.
Way better. Good job.
Love the music and final result Bjorn.
Beautiful!
Stunning what a tree
I can't believe what I just saw! Such a dramatic amputation yet a fairly subtle result. Impressive as always.
Nicely done!
Very lovely, i hope someday I'll get the chance to visit your beautiful nursery
That big cut will make your heart skip a beat... Looks excellent!
Great video and the 50s/60s TV show style music playing was a hoot! Nice work!
Much better...great job man
That was one big branch you removed - and the result is fantastic! Best bonsai videos on UA-cam 🤩

Does the nursery just accept visitors or do you have to contact to come?
Malik, I contacted ahead of time.
I love that you took inspiration from his style and applied it to the tree, all the better for it!
Looks great in that pot.
Really enjoyed the episode 👌
Thank you for your content that is excellent.

Amazing as always!
Amazing. 🌲🌳
Hi Bjorn, you improved this pine immensely. I do see that there's an ugly grafted area on the trunk that was previously hidden by the low branch and is now much more visible. What are your thoughts on that?
I would agree with your original idea of removing the Lowe left branch too.
Very beautiful bonsai’s.👍👍👍
Amazing work and beautiful tree as always.
Quite complex the green work. Love the way you divide the branch into diferent seccions not to see a huge green mass.... how is this made????
Fascinating to see you guys creating this trees next steps. Very enjoyable to watch. Thank you.
Beautiful work. Simply bonsailicious.
1:09 the rust stains on the barrels look exquisite!
The garden itself matures every year like the trees.
The confidence it took to remove the first branch, need some of that. My tree forever in development stage
What a beautiful tree . Fantastic work Björn 👍
Beautiful work, as always!
much better! In order to cut the thick branches boldly, we need to have an perspective eye for trees
Greetings from the far Germany :)
I must say, it's pretty cool that you show us the actual history of the material. Many people aren't able to do that.
Tobias didnt seem too happy to see that branch go!! I can imagine the previous conversation: Bjorn: "let's cut the directional branch" - Tobias: "Over my dead corpse!!" :) The tree looks stunning now!!
Useful information i could get in here
good video👏👏👏すばらしい😍

Hi Bjorn, love your videos. When you're developing a shohin pine what soil mix do you recommend to use. Thanks, Mitchell

The way the thick trunk abruptly narrows half a foot up, is that considered aesthetic?
I live in the Knoxville area, know of any bonsai nurseries close by?
do you got any pinus longaeva??
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Almost impossible to get really aged Japanese white pine, or five-needle pine in the southern hemisphere. Nice work
👍👍👍👍
why do u not leave the amputated branch with a neat nice cut but cut it into jagged stump...just curious.just a bonsai admirer🙂
I have the Takasago - An book on loan with me and 5 needle pines are my favorite plants, looks much improved and in line with Iwasaki Daizo style. Is this a Himekomatsu white pine or Miyajima?
Do you have a bonsai tree for sale? On which website can I buy?
