    I just started learning after effects this summer and your tutorials have been so good. I find repeaters to be really powerful and I used your other tutorial in my last project. It's just a little challenging if you want some variation in the objects like changing the colours. Thanks for another helpful video 🙌🙌

      Thanks! And yeah, this technique does limit variation.

      @BooneLovesVideo  Рік тому +1

      Indeed, but definitely not the same number of customization options as repeaters.

    Great Video Sir. Please clarify one doubt. At the end of the video, when you are showing how to convert the vector layer to the shape layer, why did the shape of the plane changed from a fighter jet to a regular plane? It was a fighter jet throughout the video but when you dragged the .eps file into a timeline and converted the vector layer into shape layer it turned into a regular plane. Am i missing something? I am new to AE. Thanks👍

    • @BooneLovesVideo
      @BooneLovesVideo  Рік тому +2

      Great question! Sorry for the confusion. That's actually an entirely different file. The fighter jet was a shape layer the entire time. The other plane started out as an EPS vector file, which I then converted into a Shape Layer. At the end there it was just to illustrate how to do that.

    With the animation preset, is there a way to set the offset to expand from anywhere else besides the center?

    I noticed in recent JH china video, did you folks used 3d earth or can we get that 3d earth look inside geo layers?

      Hey! So I haven't worked on a Johnny video in a hot minute, so I'm not sure. I think they're using a crazy customized Orb rig with GEOlayers.

    Hey boone i really love your videos but i do have a question, can i change the color of one of the shapes without affecting the repeaters? For example making the central plane in orange while all the other planes remain blue

    can i recommend this expression for offset instead. It ensures if you group shape layers or move them in the layer stack the expression won't break. It refers to the copies property relatively rather then absolutely.
    -Math.floor(thisProperty.propertyGroup(1).copies/2);

      Epic! Thank you so much for sharing. Time to test this out and create a new animation preset. :)
