- Here are some things that I consider to be interior design "mistakes," although, as we all know, your home is YOUR home, so do whatever makes you happy.

we’ve got too many tiny plants in our home & i’ve definitely been rushing purchases this first month or so. what mistakes are you making?
Oh I do the frame mistake a lot. Also it is super hard to not make any mistakes when you live with someone who has completely different tastes in decoration.
@@Saratata1 absolutely! it's so difficult to combine drastically different design styles
Loving all you videos Medora. Your advice is great and the reference photos are a yum from me! What about just a solid colour contact paper for your kitchen countertops? In the right colour I think it would look pretty cool. You can always introduce texture elsewhere in the design :)
i probably would’ve done a solid color if the countertops didn’t have all sorts of missing bits + scraggly edges, but i want to distract from those as much as possible, and a texture will help do that. i honestly prefer a solid white laminate over most countertop options that are out there tbh
Loved this! Thank you so much for your time and energy! I appreciate your voice here on UA-cam!🤍
that means a lot, thank you ✨
your nose stud though, the size and placement is *chef's kiss*
lol thank you ☺️
This doesn't have anything to do with the video, but your hair is absolutely gorgeous
ego activated lol 😅 thank you!
Love your videos! You have a wonderful taste 💖
thank you thank you 🥰
Love this video! I just found your videos and now I´m bingewatching everything. Your taste in design is great and you seem to be such a kind, smart and charismatic person! While i´m watching this video I can see ugly framed art and the floor missing a rug so bad. Just waiting for the perfect✨(and affordable) rug. Your rug video was helpful for that too :)
thank you! sending good rug-finding vibes ✨
You would hate my black and off-white IKEA Stockholm rug 😅 I totally understand where you' re coming from with the too much contrast though. I chose the rug for me and my boyfriend's small living room/office with a 65'' TV and four 27'' monitors as I wanted an affordable rug that could help balance out all the big black rectangles. Because it's so bold, I think it's doing a great at that but I do understand how it could be too much for some people.
lol i know exactly which rug you’re talking about 😅 i love the reasoning behind why you chose it though! as long as it’s intentional & thoughtful, i can appreciate a bold decision
Here's a second comment for the algo....thm! I've never been one for super contrasty spaces like what you mentioned, but recently put a white sofa sandwiched between a super dark (brown) mirror and a dark carpet ..... and I love it? It shouldn't work bit somehow on this big space it does makes sense. Or at least I think it does.
oh also, not sure if you saw yet, but i messaged you on patreon about scheduling a design session!
@@anticapitalisthomedesign Let me download the app! Thank you!
Great video! The leather bed was very unexpected indeed, although I think the pillows/cushions kind of take away from it. I would've love maybe a lush big soft pillow juxtaposed with the hardiness of the leather. BTW, the audio / resolution of the video is a LOT better. I really enjoy your content. Could you talk about about open spaces or more specifically Florida / Sun rooms in tropical areas ... like Florida?
hmm, that’s strange. i prefilmed this video & the next few before i saw your first comment, so maybe i accidentally did something with with the settings for that specific video. no idea. and i haven’t come across many examples of sunroom design, but i also haven’t been looking & i think the indoor / outdoor crossover is a fascinating way of interacting with space. i’ll keep an eye out & work on forming some opinions 👍
You always have such good advice and also such good hair. 10/10 would recommend 🖤
ahh thank you 🥰 i’m just coming out of a few years of feeling less than ideal about my hair, and it’s been so nice seeing it come back to life recently & it definitely strokes my ego when others notice lol
You are quickly becoming my favourite interior design content creator! You really have a very good eye, and your advice manages to be both relatable and astute, as well as pleasantly unpredictable! The interior photos you show are also super interesting. ❤ If I may add a thing I consider tasteless and tacky, it is printed canvas art. It always looks fake, no matter what. Imo canvas is meant to be painted on, not printed! Also, thank you for not dissing fake plants, lol!😅
thank you for the observations 🥰 oh and absolutely agree about the canvases 100%
earthships are so beautiful!
agreed ✨
Big fan of your channel
thank you ✨
