What I like is that with the limited electronic video effects there were during those days people with a creative mind (and probably a lot of programming or button-combination-pushing skills, since some of the machines were totally analog and it could require daisy-chaining all kinds of electronic circuits together by routing signals through them) could do such awesome things that would more easily wow you.
Seeing a computer system at the IBC in 2010 or 2011 that's used more and more by TV-series producers and makes actors act in a completely green room filled with position-calibration +'s for either Technodollies or something similar with ambulance-shaped green blocks and that kind of things that get's turned into one of the worst disaster-area's ever seen by mankind with the help of the computer did wow me, but not in a good way in my opinion.
Apart from that, this is like the ultimate form of what we like to call slow television in the hectic world of this day.

First episode of the new easel. Any hardcore Bob Ross fans will notice from this point on that when he "beats the devil out of it" it no longer makes a ton of noise. I think he used an old ladder or step-stool as the easel up until this point.

What an intro! I loved how happy Bob is in the intro, it really makes me believe in him and his happiness and his positivity.
Talk about red, talk about blue, you have both here in this amazing twilight painting. The sky was a *little* too orange and yellow for me to call it twilight but the clouds and position of the Sun tell you that well enough. I adored how Bob painted black trees over white. It gave it a nice white outline and also gave it depth. The Birch trees on the left, along with those amazing frosted bushes (really amazing), gave great texture and feel to it. But I think the best part is the reflections. The blue and red tones in them made such an amazing sight when he laid them down. I adored it a lot. I think this is a very beautiful painting, with a crystal clear river and colors all around.
Welcome to season 27 everyone. Let's enjoy all we have of this amazing painter.

Amazing, he painted it in 27 minutes most artists would take way longer as they where probably stressing, Bob Ross was the most and still is the most beautiful,kind, patient and all through out a very calming guy. I must try this
I don't know how Bob Ross was off camera but on camera he was a very pleasant and lovely gentleman. I enjoy his videos, very calming and motivating. He left this world too soon. RIP Bob.

It's no wonder so many people learned to paint from both the show and Bob's lessons. The man was a master at explaining what he was doing as he did it. He actually demonstrated whatever concept he was talking about, but he also used very clear, easy-to-understand language to convey whatever he was doing, even if it was just beating the devil out of a two-inch brush. Maybe this is just me nerding out, but I'm very impressed by that.
One beautiful painting takes him less than 30 minutes to finish! Genius!

His abilities as a painter go beyond the cool landscapes. Bob Ross was master of colors. And mixing and blending oil paints is not easy.
Recently I bought a expensive headset for music and I put some videos with Bob Ross, God what amazing sound, now I can really enjoy Bob Ross. Will be so cool if actually they remastered some of his seasons in blue-ray

He designed and sold these, he only wanted to sell an easel that he would use. You can still buy that same easel today
