This is the worst downgrade. Swift was known for power 4 cylinder engine. Now they have eaten one cylinder . This is going to effect the sales if the buyer is educated .....

5 years from now we will get 2 cylinder hybrid cars. Missing two cylinders will be two middle fingers to us with a smile from Maruti.

Any idea of the surface area of plastic parts ie bumpers compared to previous generations ? The front bumper looks much bigger .. imagine the cost of fender benders 😂

New engine is a step forward to introduce serial hybrid system in near future.
Same engine will be introduced in Fronx/Baleno etc with serial hybrid system aiming for 33kmok

Does any hatchback car provides rear view camera as standard in Base mode itself? They should provide it. But in that case, they should also provide touchscreen infotainment system which I don't think any hatchback cars provide in their base model.
Comparison of zxi+ AGS with i20 Sports cvt was brilliant. We have seen a lot of cost cutting on Maruti Suzuki cars over the year, so much that some of the features are only available in zxi/zxi+ models nowadays which used to be available in vxi.
For example, removing push button start, LED DRLs, LED Dual Projector headlamps from Brezza VXI which were available in 2020 VXI. 2022 Brezza VXI lacks all these features and the premium feel they gave. 3 Cylinder NA engine of Swift is definitely a downgrade. They should have given it with Hybrid or even Turbo would have been Ok.
Why a rear wiper and washer cannot be made mandatory like dual air bags.Companies are only offering this rear wiper on top models.Its time to include this visibility also a factor in BNCAP ratings

My point of view if the new swift will come at same engine and feature like baleno with lower price than who will buy Baleno ? that's why maruti has make a difference in all departments between the two ..

Bought Swift VXi AGS in Feb 2020 for Rs.6.2L (on road price) after 80k exchange. Super value for money deal. Looking at the car prices today it seems that day is not far when there will be no cars below 10L in India. Crazy inflation and price increase by all OEMs.
Maruti Suzuki thinks they can launch anything and it will always be superhit.This is the worst downgrade since this car came into the Indian market in the 2000s. Swift used to be one of their bestsellers. I hope this new Swift flops like their Ignis and Jimny, then they'll come to their senses. Raising prices almost 1L and giving an inferior product. There are far better alternatives in the market now. People should totally boycott this car.

Swift is a good looking Car, much better than the Ugliest design of Mahindra 3X0 (some sort of pre-historic animal whicbi nit good looking). its like Crap... now coming to Jimny, our Indian Car buyers don't even want the Practicality.. Entry and Exit in Back Seats, Mileage, off road capability, driving in City, but all the Indian Customers is lookibg pf the Size, No on Practicality (Mahindra Thar) I dont know how but its not really a useful vehicle... in City and Travelling JOMNY is an Overall Package, bith in City and Off Road capacity....
Now coming to Swift abiut to launch Tomorrow, the Car is giving more Capacities as the name says so, SWIFTNess, Practicality, Mileage, and all other goodies which a normal regualr person looking for and can do the service in any part of India and the Parts are good low priced....

Steering auto return not functioning.lowest ground clearance 163 mm not practical on Indian roads especially in hilly areas. Old Swift was good. Jimmy only for four people no boot space to offer. Fake car.

MPFI is good. TGDI me direct injection hota hai uss se carbon built up jyda ho jata hai engine me...

Spoil a winning combo, mess with successful model... Maruti trying to get in to strength of its competitor but losing its own USP
AMT is way more practical for the Indian scenario, DCT is very risky in stop-and-go traffic, CVT is good but almost unrepairable, TC can be an option but MS has only 4 speed TC for smaller engine.

Interior is more of like Alto K10 dark colours should rather be changed with beige colours moreover they shouldn't have gone with 3 cylinder rather would have given smart hybrid with 4 cylinder only milege is not all ....

I bought Dezire AGS in Jan 23 at price of 9.6L while Amaze was 10.75L top end having alloy, touch screen, LED lights and CVT automatic bot due to poor response of dealer Rajkot Landmark about CVT transmission to be replaced only at hefty price of 2.3L I didn't went for Honda

I was told that Honda doesn't repair CVT and also not even change the rubber belt in CVT gear which is key part where load will fall

Presently the Wagon R ZXI and ZXI+ will have a more powerful and refined engine compared to the Swift. This is outrageous.

Safety features from base model and increased mileage are the 2 positive things I see. Baaki sab downgrade hi hua hai.
It’s definitely downgraded the day when I came to know it’s gone be 3 cylinder I was unhappy.
Sir ji achha hota agar Maruti Co basic model se he reverse camera hota ji ki aaj ke samaye mai jaruri hai. Dusara car ka jo power kam kiya hai four cylinder ki jagah three cylinder kiya hai sahi nahi hai.
As Time Passes 3 cylinder engines vibrations increased compared to 4 cylinder engines.
I really liked when you mentioned about" Bharat NCAP ". Swift will come with 4 or 5 star safety rating by Bharat NCAP😀

It's clear down loaded grade 3 cylinder which they removed the core rest all gone. It would be like crashing car
MSIL is literally throwing the game in Honda's favour which has a great product in Amaze to eat up this market. Only time would tell if they come up with a value update to the Amaze or would they also kill it right at its launch like they did with the Elevate and several others.

Ignis lelo bhai much better and vfm than swift. K12B engine hai usme, which has very good performance compared to dualjet k12C engine in swift.

No compare between 4 and 3 cylinder engines.
Knowing this firsthand, I straightaway ticked off this new Swift.
Ignis is still a lot better n cheaper by Swift by Rs 60,000 n better features in middle Delta model..
But 3 cylinders is a direct downgrade. Otherwise I would have considered this one.

Actually 3 cyl is not downgrade
If company increases the built quality of the vehicle and the Weight gets increased,cutting of 1 cylinder can become mandatory to maintain same fuel economy,thus it's a good step by safety angle...and also the 3 cylinder engine setup by maruti in fronx turbo is a good setup example....but hope the built quality gets and upgrade in this facelift...

Turbo is a different discussion bruh.
The power figure, the smoothness everything is getting compromised! The improvement in build quality is appreciated but the cost cutting in reducing one cylinder can not be defended here.
