My Family have properties on the Greek Island of Samos and I've been seriously considering doing this. It looked really interesting. How long did it take you to get to mainland Greece?
the way he went would have taken the best part of a week .and very expensive ...i live one hour from greece and i can drive to the uk in 2 and half days including over night stops
From UK to France there probably was a border point (through the ferry). All other country crossings were within the Schengen area so no border checkpoints.

@@Opelvectra1 you are right the minute the ferry docks the black cloud appears on the horizon ,,the only bright side is on the ferry back to france
