@@hoohoohoblin Genetics might be holding you back. I did 23&Me and one of my results says I have a gene that increases my tossing and turning, etc. On the flip side it also tells you the average time you are likely to wake up, so you can also improve your sleep schedule around that
This has been the most info I've been able to find about how the sleep score is calculated, so thank you. I've never scored above 88, even with 9+ hours of sleep. I think it must be because my REM is low (it's usually around 14% of my sleep) and because I wake up a ton in the night.
Check if you have sensitive mode on. If you do change it back to normal. Other than that just stay consistent with your sleep times and get sun in the morning for at least 10 minutes
I'll usually schedule my bed time out to get 8-7 hrs of sleep every night. My watch always claims I'm only getting 6-5 hrs of sleep. I always have POTs syndrome so sometimes it takes a little longer for my heart rate to come to a complete rest than the average person. I sometimes think this fools my watch into thinking that I'm still awake when I'm actually asleep. My sleeping heart rate is usually 5 to 10 beats lower than my resting and my resting heart rate is about 67 from what the watch says. It seems to detect that my heart rate isn't at full rest when I'm sitting or standing and my heart rate jumps to 90-110. Which is why the sleep thing has always threw me off. Tho I usually get a 70 or 80 score for sleep. I also use a cpap for sleep apnea and that says I get about 7-8hrs usually
Thank you, that's really smart advice and a very helpful video. I've had a fitbit for about 5 years and never scored 100. I was surprised to reach 89 for the first time this week. I might have made 90 if the phone hadn't rung.
This video is extremely helpful, thank you. I always feel dreadful when I wake up and my sleep score is usually rubbish, on rare occasions I get a 'good' score. I think if I increase my fitness level and quit caffeine it might improve.
I got a inspire hr 2 recently because my doctor and my friend swear by this sleep data. Well i pulled a 84 last night and honestly i feel good lately. I had a versa lite recently but the band was just too big to wear to sleep for me, luckily inspire hr 2 is much smaller size band. I do think this is important information to have if you suck at sleep, but i never really worry about the numbers just if i feel rested.
I got 95 once, i broke my neck last year in june , and i forgot i had taken my meds baclofen (muccle relaxer). lyrica (nerve pain) so i accidentally doubled my dose and i had taken Benadryl and some weed edibles a little while before, i was zonked i was literally in bed 12 hours or more motionless like a stone and i got 95, but now all my scores are lower because its compareing me to that night
Maybe the band is too loose. I would suspect that the sensors aren’t in contact with your skin, so they can’t read your heartbeat. Try tightening the band.
A question: I have a fitbit charge 4 and I don't have sleep score, I can't see. I sleep 8 hours, but nothing, I don't have a sleep score! Can someone answere me??
I use the iPhone Fitbit app to track my Fitbit numbers. That’s what you see in my video. It will show your sleep score, but it is really hard to get 100. You have to get healthy enough so that your resting heart rate is a lot higher than your sleeping heart rate. For some people that could be impossible. I got 90 last night, but I can’t get any higher than that.
hoohoohoblin oh I see. You are right. I just did not get any scores last night and I thought you needed to pay for that feature. I just bought the watch and I am new to the app. I think the problem was that I selected "begin sleep now". I did not get any sleep stages or scores, hopefully tonight I will. Do you have any other recommendations?
Get lots of sun in the morning, get lots of dark at night. Be active during the day and HAVE CONSISTENT SLEEP TIMES!! Do all of these and I guarantee you’ll get 90s, it’s just that you aren’t consistent, trust the science.
I got 91 once. It was amazing 🎉
I just checked my sleep score. I got a sleep score of 99, but I was in a coma for the last 6 months.
If that’s the case, then I guess you have to DIE to get a 100 sleep score! 😓
Sorry I laughed out but I hope you are well now 😭
@@theparadigm8149Yeah your sleeping heart rate would be so much lower!
I scored a 91 last week and was confused when I saw the word excellent. That’s why I’m here. I want to get an excellent rating again.
I think this thing is a real problem for obsessive, compulsive people who want the highest score. I tried and tried to come up, but I never got 100.

When I watch a movie in the evening, Fitbit thinks I’m asleep. No. I’m just being still.

I’m glad I could help. I don’t think anybody actually scores 100, so you’re probably doing fine.

@@hoohoohoblinCheck out Brian Johnson. He got 100 for 6 months in a row 💀

I got a 90 and slept for 10 hrs and 50 mins. Fitbit said I slept 9 hr and 49 mins. I took melatonin and I'm 26, male, and my pronouns are fee, fo, fum
I think they set it up, so nobody can ever get 100 no matter what they do.

Glad it helped!
My friend got a 100 sleep score on FitBit. His resting heart rate is 0, though
Haha!
At the gender part i had to close the video . Wdf man….

How you feel is a much better metric than whatever some piece of plastic on your wrist says.
“My pronouns are he, him, his.”
I don’t know what that means.

Thanks. Now I know the cheat code. I have to try that someday.
Sleep and don't wake up forever you'll get 100 score XD
See yeah I wake up once to use the bathroom maybe I'll stop drinking water before bed 🤔
My fitbit Versa 2 will not register a sleep score every night, often only two or three times a week! Any advice?
Maybe the band is too loose. I would suspect that the sensors aren’t in contact with your skin, so they can’t read your heartbeat. Try tightening the band.
Yes check the band.. you want it snug but not too tight and try to make sure you give it time to sync to your device
My dad once hit a 97 sleep score. I personally rarely get over 85
That’s the highest score in the world! He wins.
How innahell do ya go to bed at 8:30 ? That's what my g'pa used to do, he'd go to bed with the chickens and get up with the roosters. Js
I specifically went to bed super early just to see if I could score 100. Unfortunately it didn’t work.
I can't get my fit bit to give me a sleep score. It just logs my basic sleep stats. Like awake, sleep, restless.. What's going on? I have a charge 4
I had the same problem on my first night then it randomly started working after relogging the sleep a few times
@@oliver8293 I exchange it for a new one. Hopefully this one works
Maybe you're just pretending to sleep. How do you feel during the day?
It will only work if you have the premium membership but if you already have it then I don’t know what the problem is 🤔
@@ooXbeautyXoo i returned it and got a new one, it works now
Most of us just don't have the makings of a varsity player. 😮💨
You sleep too much , I never got a 7h + sleep with Fitbit
Haha! Sleep is good!!!
9 hours is too much u want exactly 8 for the best score
How I miss that sleep graphic!!!!!
Yes. They keep changing the interface every time they do an update, and I think it’s getting worse.
I’m lucky if I hit 70.
I need to change some things
Everything else is above average
Well, 9 hr in bed kinda obvious you'll get higher numbers

Nobody can help you. Check your settings to make sure something is not out of wack. You can restore settings to default,
It might take a couple nights to get one, if not, tighten the band on ur wrist, make sure the sensors are touching u, if not contact support
Can you get the score if you are using an iPhone?

My highest was a 94

That was interesting, right up until you felt it necessary to define your pronouns. No one cares.
You lost any credibility when you say your “pronouns”. You’re insane,
Thanks for telling us your pronouns in a video🤣

Thanks. I got my first comment and my first thumbs down in the first minute after posting the video. I think that’s a new record!
Your welcome
Thanks for nothing
Ha ha! At least now you know it’s impossible to get 100.
