@torsten How about the pogroms in Gaza and Hebron in 1929? Yes little October 7ths in 1929 when Arabs attacked the jewish communities of Gaza and Hebron, and yes there were jewish communities there and had been there for hundreds of years. This didnt happen in Israel but how about The Farhud in Baghdad Iraq? June 1941. A three day rampage of enraged Muslims killing Jews, looting and destroying property? And lst but not least, how about the expulsions of Jews? oh I dont mean the expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1492, I mean the ones in 1940's from Egypt, Iraq, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Morocco? The one where the jews were stripped of their citizenship, had their possessions stolen, their assets expropriated and forced to leave with NOTHING after living in North Africa for 1500 years +-?? No UNRWA for them!! No handouts, no UN welfare!! Just forced to leave everything behind and start over which they did, and they were, for the most part successful at it. Now their grandchildren are going to fight the grandchildren and great grandchildren of those who have done F*** and BA for the last three generations.
Cool, but why do you start in 37? The arab revolt started in 36, and before that there were the 1929 riots, and the massacre in Hebron. And the 1921 riots, and 1920 Nebi Musa riots. But even during these times that you show, you skipped the fact that 47 was during a war (that the arabs started) 56 was during the period of the Fadayiun that attacked jews, 67 was part of a war that the arabs started (prior to which snipers shot at jews in jerusalem), Sabra and Shatila was not done by Israel and was part of a war that the palestinians in lebanon (deported to there from Jordan after trying to kill the king) started, Jenin was a part of a military operation after years of suicide bombings and specifically after a bomber blew up a hotel during a holiday dinner and each Gaza instance you put here was the result of rockets fired from Gaza at Israel.
@amd-cz7dq we have to go back all the way to Abrahams promised son through Sarah....Isaac. Not Ishael that was born through Hagar. This is where it all started.
We must also focus on the negative things that Israelis have been doing for years that has stymied and hindered the peace process between the Palestinian states and Israel. This includes Netanyahu admitting on NATIONAL TV that he had been secretly sabotaging the formation of the 2 state system for years (his words, not mine). This means that he has been LYING to the US public and the whole world about himself being in favor of a 2 state system. This proves to the world that Netanyahu is a liar and a deceiver, especially since he ALSO admitted to having given Hamas millions of dollars through the years, even though he KNEW that Hamas has been buying weapons . Also , the way in which Israel has been conducting their war in Gaza has also been fascist in appearance. The use of unguided missiles has led to many child deaths, and Israel's allies in Europe are stating that it is Israel who is stopping aid from getting into Gaza at the border. @rick3461 I don't understand the directive? It's pretty clear: The military approval to eliminate civilians and soldiers in the event of capture. Haaretz covered it in regards to October 7th. There were many unnecessary mass casualty events. And eyewitness reports who say that that civilians were mowed down by Israeli soldiers. Pretty sad that Israel is allowed to speak more openly about their downfalls in the US. There was an excellent video covering the events on judge Napolitano's UA-cam channel. In which reporters from The Gray zone, Max Blumenthal and Aaron mattei (Jewish btw) going great detail about the event. That's not even get started when it comes to hostage rescue, where Israel claims to make an attempt on the rescue and it results any 100% hostage fatality due to "friendly fire". Perfect example is the Israeli hostages who managed to make it to a window to wave White flags. Only to be shot by Israeli snipers. I strongly recommend you do some research, before you flat out deny claims.

This was the largest uprising by Jews during World War II and the first significant urban revolt against German occupation in Europe. Don't you think that Gaza is the modern ghetto, Hamas is the modern insurgents and IDF is the modern German troops
What Nick is saying is that even if the militaries understand the strategy it is not aimed at them but at the civilian government and civilians of the US and Israel and they are counting on those civilians to tell Israel to stop. Unfortunately for Hamas Trump understands what they are doing and that is why Hamas is suing for peace. They know it is not going to stop. Go Israel.
@@ErikPehrsson ya they don't say much about the mass rape of Vietnamese women and the slaughter of civilians wonder where the American army picked up them tactics
What Nick says here makes so much sense. But I also wonder what strategy Netanyahu is using. There is evidence and whistleblower accounts that the IDF were prevented from preparing for and responding properly to the attack on Oct 7. Did Netanyahu sacrifice his own people in order to get the mandate to eliminate the people in the Gaza Strip? Are both Hamas and Israel sacrificing their own people and trying to accomplish their strategic objectives through the intervention of western allies/citizens?
I have a counter point to this. Pearl Harbour. The story is the brass knew about the attack and and did nothing. As a result a bunch of obsolete ships were sunk, the carriers they cared about were spared, several thousand us citizens were killed and america got the mandate to enter the war and crush an opponent that could be a serious threat later. Every nation in history has done something similar.
As above, so below. I like Nick F.'s explanation of the reality the world needs to comprehend. I hope he also understands there is an asymmetric spiritual battle going on. Sometimes, a soldier finds himself isolated behind enemy lines, as he may have experienced firsthand. Rather than attempting to ally with one of the opposing factions in the conflict, thus exposing himself to possible betrayal, the soldier should suck it up and rely on his intrinsic spirituality to navigate to safety. From a Nick to a Nick, keep the faith, baby.
Wouldn't the tactics George Washington switched to mid Revolutionary war be an earlier example of asymmetric warfare? My sense is it's been a tactic for centuries if not millenniums.
Nick is absolutely correct regarding the analysis of the situation in Gaza with the Hamas terrorists. But that said, what he says is NOT a definition of asymmetric warfare. I say this as a retired fellow operator in a foreign force that came about way back when Sovjet existed, and a large part of our tactics was to execute offensive asymmetric warfare operations, preferably unnoticed deep behind enemy lines. But to be able to do this, you need, as Nick mentioned, space and THAT we do have in abundance. So after we engaged in anything behind enemy lines, we disappeared. If you add that it was supposed to be "peace" in this part of the world, you will understand the need to be really good at this and getting caught was NOT an option. Hamas is taking the Asymmetric Warfare Doctrine and transforming it into something else and a way for them to use their own people as sacrificial lambs for the benefit of the few leader's political and, most likely, personal gain! Remember, there aren't THAT many of them (2.2 million. according to the Palestinians themselves and 1.6 million. registered as refugees by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency). I don't think that was the purpose of the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, but that is likely debatable. This becomes obvious when you see the proof of Hamas command posts located in elaborate tunnel systems UNDER HOSPITALS, to mention one such atrocity! I can't help but wonder if that would have been the Hamas' tactics IF they had had enough space to hide in the first place. Sadly, I think they would have done the same anyway!

Wrong analysis. 1. They want to have captives to exchange with the people in captivity at the time. 2. They were targeting military installations plus those place that have high ratios of reservist. 3. They did not expect to run into the people in the festival. It was just a coincidence. 4. The civilians who followed them were not part of the plan but they took a lot of the coincidental civilian captives. 5. They did NOT expect the outrageous response when they just want to have some prisoner to swap and release, maybe at a rate of 100 to 1.
It's been apparent for some time that fighters who place weapons platforms and command centers beside hospitals, schools, and mosques aren't concerned with minimizing civilian casualties.
I learned that in my military science classes in 1967. That was the year that Bebe graduated from Cheltenham High School, just 20 miles from my military academy, to join the IDF, and later, to go to MIT. I'm sure he understands this concept. Hamas will not be able to restrain their operations for the full 60 days, and that gives license to the IDF to step in and finish the job. Let's get it done. It's good to hear Nick talk about Tet. Everyone that I knew then remembers Tet.
Spot on explanation and break down and it will change the way I look at this to some extent and I will always stand with Israel and the Children of God
What I still can't understand is how the Palestinian casualties in warzone still mean more than unarmed civilian casualties in Israel at a music festival and atrocities committed against families in their homes. WTF. It makes me really, really worried for the US with so many useful idiots for Palestine and for MAGA.
When did you see MAGA supporters at a rally for Palestine? Have you ever seen MAGA participation at such rallies? That really reinforces my opinion that the United States really needs to stay out of it. What Nick said amounts to 'Hamas killed Israeli civilians and Palestinian civilians to influence the United States" Ergo, if we weren't involved, it never would have happened. We really need to learn to mind our own business.

The Palestinian genocide of Israelis must be stopped. Permanently.
It started when Isaac was born. Abraham's son to whom the promise was made....more than 3000 years ago..why only go back to 1937?
Wow..!!! Talk about hitting the Nail on the Head.!!! Excellent and true take on the current situation...❤🙏🏼👍🏼
And Israeli politicians are openly calling for the removal of ALL Palestinians from Gaza.
How do you think this is all making Israel look? The pro-Hamas media are using these facts to make Israel look like the bad guys
No it isnt
Did you notice that this channel deleted my comment? These media control what we see and hear. This is censorship and propaganda. I for one am tired of these media creating echo chambers in order to control our opinions
The thing I noticed about the war is only one side has an army.
It is not a war, it is a genocide.
if one side starts a fight with a stronger side, it's not the stronger side's fault that they are suicidal idiots.
But if there is no "army" than who are these people ya'll are calling heroes, in flipflops and Yassin105's? Who is it that marched around gaza in uniform (until they needed to blend in with the civilians)? Who is it that makes these rockets for so many years?

Hannibal directive blows this whole topic out of the water. Especially if you compare to fatality rate of prisoners being imprisoned by Hamas as opposed to the IDF.
People here don't understand that violence only invites more violence the wrong people are in power, the weak people that think hitting hard from bunkers is strong and Converse with your enemy and try to understand ther position is weak.
No it doesn't. You don't understand the directive.
What's the fatality rate for each? Can you elaborate?
@@JohnSmith-bh8um friendly fire is almost impossible to avoid in urban combat. Gaza is one big apartment complex. Kandahar is nothing like Gaza, and the contacts we had there were pure confusion. It's not the movies.
The directive is to deter kidnapping attempts. The IDF doesn't go out looking to shoot its own. Many militaries have similar policies, they just don't disclose them.
You have your mind made up. Enjoy your Hamas propaganda.

thank you so much for correctly using representative government as opposed to "democracy".
It is different.
Representative government is when you use several technics to fool the general public to vote for you.
Democracy is when the People is consulted on major issues for the Country (like in Switzerland) and government is only current afairs management.
Its no different. It is a "representative democracy" as opposed to a "direct democracy."

For the uninitiated: A democratic republic is a form of democracy. It isnt a "true democracy." It is a "representative democracy." Or, as some prefer, a "democratic republic."

On April 19, 1943, the Warsaw ghetto uprising began after German troops and police entered the ghetto to deport its surviving inhabitants. Jewish insurgents inside the ghetto resisted these efforts. This was the largest uprising by Jews during World War II and the first significant urban revolt against German occupation in Europe.
Don't you think that Gaza is the modern ghetto, Hamas is the modern insurgents and IDF is the modern German troops
I hope the US and Israeli armies pay attention to this video. Excellent explanation.
I'm sure they both know all about this warfare tactic and don't need to watch it
What Nick is saying is that even if the militaries understand the strategy it is not aimed at them but at the civilian government and civilians of the US and Israel and they are counting on those civilians to tell Israel to stop. Unfortunately for Hamas Trump understands what they are doing and that is why Hamas is suing for peace. They know it is not going to stop. Go Israel.

Nobody says cogent. Just say convincing.
you seem to be saying that Hamas played Netanyahu. that they were counting on his horrible rage to blind his ability to reason??
Brilliant analysis sir!
Every nation in history has done something similar.

amazing explanation!
Not the first time and if we can't put a stop to such militant groups then we are dumb.
Brilliant. Thank you for your thorough and honest explanation. 👏
Best explanation of asymmetric warfare I've ever heard. It's a thing now, and it's not going away.

Unlike previous wars, the Vietnam war’s strategy wasn’t based around gaining ground and holding it. Sending soldiers out in to kill the enemy, than return to base isn’t a winning strategy if winning is your objective.
