I'll need help if I'm going to make it through this. The ETF and stock markets are still pretty volatile. What's left of my $170,000 portfolio now isn't looking good; how can I capitalize on the market?

A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new markets, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $3million in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.

I just sold a property in Portland and I'm thinking of putting the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying it's ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $200k gains with months, I'm really just confused at this point.
@JamieClayton78 It all depends on how long you're willing to hold for, stocks might likely tank further, but making serious gains in this downtrend wouldn't be a problem if you're a pro.
For the love of god not yet. A big drop will come soon. I been trading options for about a year now and I have my ear to the street analyst and what not. They say we are in a bubble . Wait until Wednesday next week. Nvda earnings will tell. Apparently if they report well the market will be fine but if report bad it might tank the entire market. Once it tanks…wait for it to tank a bit more that day then after hours buy everything at a discount

I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.

@PandreaFinance Why wouldn’t you just execute your hedging strategies and buy the options with a “DOE” of two months or less? It doesn’t need to be yearly right? the premiums will also be a lot more when you buy the put options yearly?

How to do covered call and puts safely without covered calls being assigned and covered put being assigned. Also stuff like iron condor, butterfly, straddle, strangle (how to set them up and when to use it). Maybe one strategy at a time.
Loved the bonus tip, as usual. One thing I would recommend is that you don't sell a call to try to get your cost basis to 0 when using that bonus strategy (on a highly volatile stock), since you're capping off any potential huge gain by instead collecting a small fraction of what could've been a huge payoff (collecting pennies in front of a steam roller).
I'm going through all your vids.. after trying out a number of Option introducations I still couldn't figure it out. Your manner of explanation is clear, concise and has enough "for dummies" examples with show-and-tells that finally allows me to kind of get it. Thank you!

Never liked stop losses due to stop loss hunting. You addressed it in this video. I see so many furus on youtube mentioning, stop loss is for losers. But they haven't mentioned about hedging aswell.

I've always viewed paying for puts as portfolio protection to be mostly an overly expensive, and recurring, exercise in futility, as well as a non-optimal way to address market exigencies. Even if we make some money on the way down, we still hold mounting losses on the stocks. Plus there is the excellent chance that repeatedly purchasing puts as they expire will simply increase the growing costs of the portfolio, akin to throwing good money after bad. I would prefer to continue to sell covered calls, hopefully augmented by some dividend income, and give the stock time to improve, while using new funds for better new ideas that will actually turn profits.

Please explain the difference between "Rolling our option position up and out" AND "Buy to close our position" then "Sell to open another position with higher strike and further expiration". I recently sold a Put & the price kept going up so I Rolled my position by buying to close it then selling another Put with higher strike and further expiration. I had to pay commissions for both Buy & Sold Put.

Let's say the stock price goes higher and your shares got called away, do you have to sell the puts to close the put position? Or keep it till it expires? thats right! you would be forced to sell at a lower price, so you would take in a credit but your losses on your shares can be more. Another idea is to sell calls by themselves to reduce the losses in the short term if the stock goes down. More videos coming on all this! thanks for the question!

So on strategy 3. Your basically creating a strangle on the stock you already own. Buying calls to collect the premium. And then using the free money to buy puts. In the case Apple were to fall to 149. Your long leg position gets sold. Ohhhh man. Can’t for spreads

I placed an option order to sell a call of a stock but I don't understand the position of the option that shows up in the tap later, like what does the changes of the total return of my option mean? I thought it's already fixed.

regarding hedging would you say the same could be true for weekly CALLS in that there are shorts hedging as opposed to longs with puts?

Yes! The long leg of the spread serves to hedge your losses on the short leg if the stock moves against you.

Did you say on 19:45 that you buy a call if the market goes down, but I think is vice-versa? No? You buy a call if you think the market is going to go up and that’s how you make money, but if you think is going to go down you sell the call, am I wrong or right? Thanks for the video bro

I’m paper trading selling put option and if the stock price goes down, the whole thing is in red and I don’t get this. I am doing it for the premium only.
I don't unserstand the part about, ... it gives you the right to sell the shares at 70$ even if the price drops below. Who would buy them at that price??? Is this another option play?

they call it 'options' because you have 4 options- buy or sell a put and buy/sell a call
At the end…when you say you can take the VXX potential profit and “buy back into the market”. What does that actually mean? Buying SPY?🤔
