Thanks so much Judy!!! Always a pleasure chatting with you!
It's one of the best interviews I've ever heard. I got so much out of it. I agree with pretty much everything you guys brought up. I was following higher protein carnivore but, the problem was, I was starving\foodobssed all the time, I've been eating the fattiest cuts of meat now and feeling so much better overall, especially mood-wise and concentration levels. Brazil
Great conversation & very informative. I typically stay around 1:1 Protein/Fat with low carbs. I lost 70 lbs and the best part is, I have maintained my weight for 2 years. I experimented with higher protein & less fat, but my body didn’t respond as well after about 3 months, so I went back what works for me and 65-70% fat.
Excellent interview. Thank you both. Judy im happy you posted the whole interview 👍
Great interview Judy and you asked all of the important questions!! I ordered the keto bricks cos I became interested in trying them.
It always makes me cringe when I see people only use the egg whites. "Nooooooooooooo" is my initial response. The yolk is the only part my daughter eats.
Thank you, Judy!! I learned some valuable strategies.
THANK YOU Judy! An excellent interview and coverage of this topic.
Excellent discussion Judy, thank you.
What a fantastic and motivating interview! Love you both. Thank you
Amazing interview!!! Thank you!!!
As many of your clients I have been frustrated by slow weight loss and tried PSMF with lean protein. As you said, FELT AWFUL. No energy and felt very off. Back on fats. Find a cup of decaf coffee with HWC and some collagen & glycine before bed seems to help my sleep.
Really really loved this interview. I didn’t know about Live Savage before this interview.
I got so much out of this interview!! Glad you're opening the space for critical thinking as opposed to trend-following as a rule of thumb, Dr. Cho.
Thank you, Keto Savage, for creating those bricks! Been wondering how to incorporate them more in my daily meal plan. A brick a day keeps the doctor away 💪💪😄
Look forward to listening to this. Thank you
Would swimming qualify as resistance training? I swim more than an hour every day. I do feel that it's a sport that puts all my muscles in motion.
Hi Judy, my ferritin jumped from 160 to 320 ug/L, the top of the reference range is 500. I've started carefully supplementing some copper according to Morley Robbins. Do you have any thoughts ?
Interesting viewpoint, albeit from a body builder perspective. I think when stating that ‘no carbs’ are needed, that we should define what we mean by carbs. Folks on keto often eat 20-50 grams of carbs daily (or more in some cases if very physically active and still remain in ketosis). A keto brick has 12-16 grams carbs… plus salads etc… which is fine, but inconsistent with the hard stance that you don’t eat/need carbs, which can add to the confusion…. Not a criticism, simply an observation. Cheerio!!
I absolutely loved this interview. I only recently came across Robert & crystal. It’s so interesting to hear other peoples stories, I had no idea he had issues with food at one point
Like yourself I have a history of binge eating , I was addicted to carbs and sugar . I remember planning my binges and making sure I ate all the junk before my husband came home, then he’d find the evidence, packaging shoved under the sofa .
Keto was great and I lost 47lb over four months last year but carnivore has seemed to cure my sugar cravings. If I eat dairy, especially cheese that can trigger a binge but if I eat a lot in one day it’s always animal based foods , so better than I was . I find too much variety increases my hunger.
Since starting carnivore almost 6 months ago and starting weights at home I’ve lost another 12lb . I do enjoy tweaking and find a 70/30 split seems to be working but interesting what Robert said about his cut and actually eating higher fat. I’m 50 and around 117lb I’m not looking to do anything other than build muscle and strength which I think is important as we age. I have some body fat I’d like to lose but I’ve learnt to be patient with the process.
Past four months I’ve also been eating 1800-2000 calories a day . I heard about reverse dieting and I was always a chronic undereater . 1200 calories was the magic number for weight loss 🤦🏻♀️ I also tried extended fasts , not good for me either . Binge followed, albeit on keto based foods but then followed guilt and so now I do unintentional intermittent fasting . No set times just eat when hungry . 10 months on from when I started at 175lb ( only 5ft tall) I feel so much better, I’m in control of my eating most of the time and if I do a high calorie day around 3000 it’s still eating on plan .
Thankyou for sharing your knowledge, while I agree the internet has good and bad to it if it wasn’t for social media and you tube I doubt I’d have found so much information on this woe . Plus keepin on listening and learning keeps me on track ❤️
