This channel is highly underrated. I actually thought you had 1 million subscribers, not 1k, because your videos are amazing. You definitely deserve more views and subs. Good luck, don't stop making videos.
What a lovely comment. 😀 Thank you so much for your extremely kind words. Feedback like yours makes a massive difference and keeps us going! Today 1k, tomorrow who knows!?. We’re keeping that million subs firmly in our sights 😆 Have a brilliant day. 👍😊💕
Thank you so much for saying so. That’s extremely kind and lovely feedback like this makes all the effort worthwhile! Have yourself a wonderful day/evening. PS. Love the panda pic. Such beautiful creatures. 🐼 👍😊
I love how beautifully this is presented. So perfect and polished. Speaking of which, your apples are so shiny, did you actually polish the apples? 😆I found this fascinating & feel I will be eating an apple a day hereafter 😅 Thank you for all your efforts in making such an interesting and thoughtfully presented video as always. ❤💕
Yes, you got me there!, I did indeed shine up the apples! 🤣 But ensuring a lustrous shine is all part of the extreme thrill ride that is eating an apple, don’t you think?! 😂🤣😆 Thank you so much for your kind and generous comments. They really are super appreciated. 👍😁
I wouldn't argue with your number 1 choice as Cox's a worthy winner but second place for me would have to be my all time favourite Granny Smiths as it's such a versatile apple being awesome on a cheese board , making great sauces and possibly the best apple pies in the world......any of the remaining each worthy of third place. Thank you once more for my monthly input of intellectual stimulation compared to other comedic UA-cam content 🤣👍
Thanks GeeBee! You are too kind! … especially as, given that I was clearly behind my time this month, you were probably thinking; “…We waited 5 weeks for this and what do we get? … Apples!?!” 🤣 You are quite right about Granny Smiths’ excellent culinary qualities of course. I feel my childhood memories of that green sour miniature cannonball may have slightly overshadowed the experience for me forever. Nevertheless add a touch of cheese and all is well. 😆 Thank you as always for your tireless support. It is so very appreciated! Have yourself a great week, JJ. 👍😊😁👍
A big hello to you in Germany! 😁 Great to hear that you are Cox Orange fans too! Sadly, they are getting harder to find in the shops here in the UK also. Having one growing in my garden however would be nirvana! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend! 👍😊
I’m quite pleased with this result as it broadly lines up with my opinion too. 1. Pink Lady 2. Coxs 3. Fuji I loathe Red Delicious’ as they’re mealy and flavourless, Granny Smith’s are far too tart and Gala’s are meh - I’d eat them but wouldn’t choose/buy them. I’ve never had a Kanzi apple, but I will keep an eye out for them. I’m also not sure of the origin of Pink Lady’s - I’ve been reliably informed that they didn’t spring from Rydell High and are not affiliated with the T-birds but other than that I’m 🤷🏾♀️
Thanks so much for sharing and I’m super glad you enjoyed the video! Pink Lady’s (the apple) originated in Australia, and are essentially the pick of the crop of a number of varieties all deriving from “Cripps Pink.” Whether or not Mr Cripps the plant breeder was a secret Grease fan (or Beauty School drop out?) remains unclear, but I think you could be on to something there! 😆 Thanks again for commenting and have a wonderful week. 👍😁
Super glad you loved the video! Thank you so much for saying so 😁and it sounds like the Honeycrisp is an increasingly popular choice in the US. We will definitely bear it in mind if we do an “Apples Round 2” - Thanks so much for sharing and have yourself a fantastic day 👍😊
While I understand why you picked Red Delicious to represent the USA, as a resident of Washington state I am saddened by this choice. I can go to the grocery store and pick from a dozen different apple species including Red Delicious, all grown here. Most of the Red Delicious apples grown here are exported to China where they appreciate its intense red color as a symbol of good luck. Of those you tested, I have enjoyed eating Gala, Fuji and Granny Smiths while I can't remember the last time I ate a Red Delicious. However, my family prefers to eat Honey Crisp apples which I believe should be available worldwide. A few years back Washington State University developed the Cosmic Crisp from the Honey Crisp. Cosmic Crisp apples were received so well that in the last 3 years over 13 million Cosmic Crisp apple trees have been planted (grafted?) in Washington state alone. Now, if you're talking about apple pie, well that's a whole other story.
Howdy Iron Noodle! Funnily enough I encountered Honey Crisp in my research but have never found them for sale here in the UK. Cosmic Crisp turn up VERY occasionally but Red Delicious had to take the USA slot (this time at least) based on its iconic provenance alone. Hopefully we will start seeing more Cosmic Crisps winging our way soon then! 😁 As for apple pie, don’t get me started, I’ve never had so many apples in the space of a week and without so much of a sniff of pastry in sight, I feel quite deprived. 😆 Thanks so much for your insightful and interesting comments as always. Wishing you all the very best from a cold but sunny Southern England. 👍😊
Cosmic crisp is very good also try the snap dragon my favorite is the fuji there's a apple rankings website they have the sweettango as the best but to me they don't make my top 10 but it could be that it was out season so I'll try it next September
Obviously not a Red Delicious fan then! 😆 Typically, while I find they can be quite bland, I’ve not really found them mealy. The ones I’ve had were all very fresh and full of juice. However I can’t disagree with Granny Smith being tart! They most certainly pack a punch in that respect. 😁 Thanks for sharing & enjoy your day/evening! 👍😊
They are starting to appear in more places gradually, but I did notice how limited the range of many supermarkets apple choices were when researching this test! Still I thought it was an interesting one to include. Thanks for commenting and have a great evening. 👍😊
Yes, that’s come up a few times as a big favourite now in the US and crops up here & there on this side of the pond too! Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day! 👍😊
Lucky you! I’d prefer it that way round as I thought the Fuji was excellent, although I have to say Granny Smiths are fantastic for culinary purposes. Thanks so much for sharing. 👍😁

Pink Lady is the best. Sweet and tart at the same time somehow, with a thin skin and great texture.
Great to hear different people’s favourites. Thanks for sharing. 👍😊
Love high quality channel it's like a documeantry!

Old family tradition for the best apple we like to enjoy: Cox Orange. Difficult to buy them but we grow them in our gardens. Greetings from Germany.

It's hard to find 'Red Delicious' in most US grocery stores now. However, now most stores carry a wide variety of apples, sometimes 20 or more.
Amazing how certain bestsellers gradually disappear! Not so delicious anymore it would seem. Thanks for commenting and hope you enjoyed the video 👍😊
Grany smith and green apple are same?
…In this video, yes, but in general, while all granny smith apples are green, not all green apples are granny smiths. Hope that helps!?! 😆😊👍
I never like apples except Fuji
Well if you only choose one apple, that’s a great one to choose! 👍😊
you need to try bravo esfolme apple, from portugal it's a pale green apple firm and delicious
Sounds wonderful, thanks for sharing! 👍😊

I love this video but for America you should have done the honeycrisp! That's the coup de gras of apples, despite it being grown at a University.

Which one is your favourite
The winner was definitely MY favourite but would love to hear other peoples thoughts! 👍😊
Red Delicious is mealy and revolting. Granny Smith is best. I love the tartness.

Red delicious is my favourite
Gala and Fuji are now, by far, the most popular in America. I rarely even see Red Delicious anymore.
I love granny smith with lime juice ang sprinkle with salt
Wow! My face is shrivelling up just at the thought! 😅🥴😂👍
Never heard of Kanzi.
