Even before they went after Ohtani last year Guerrero Jr. deserved & should have been priority #1 as he should have been this year. I think it's VERY disrespectful on Atkins & Shapiro's part that he has received an acceptable extension after what he has achieved for the Jays. I think it's time to stop looking for a superstar outside of the organization, solidify the guy you have & maybe other players would be more on board with playing in Toronto. Ohtani, Soto, Teoscar are off the table sign the guy sitting there waiting for an offer! He's not getting any cheaper if you're looking at comparable players!

They are better than they were when they made the playoffs last. I'd bet on it. The league is weaker too. Pretend last year didn't happen. This team is far from bad, they just fell flat. They do need a starter and any other bat would be a bonus. But this team is so well rounded now. Right under everyone's noses.

And we all agree, it was ugly. (0.1 WAR from the pitching.) In 92,93, 2015, 2021-23 that O/D WAR was in the 30-33 range. Only 5 short of last year. Bo alone was 5 WAR short of his average last year. Add Gimenez's 4-5 WAR in a bad year Santander's 4... and this team has a pathway to the best lineup (by WAR) that we've ever had. And that's projecting similar failure from everyone but Bo and the new guys. They all won't fail again. It's the pitching that needs to solidify again. Last year's version of Berrios needs to be the 3rd best starter. The bullpen should be nearly as bad. 87 wins minimum.

If they don’t get Alonso , I think they should try and trade for Luis Robert jr he could be the bat they need if he can get back to some resemblance to his 2023 and can have Santander and Springer change off on DH and Right Field and if they trade Bo they will have more pieces to use in the trade market and let Wagner play second and move Giménez over to short and bring in Bergman or Moncada or someone else and bring in Flaherty or trade for King

Rowdy Tellez had similar stats as Ty France last season. Rowdy is a lefty bat and Ty is a righty bat, so pick which handedness the Jays need more.
Seen Rowdy already I like him as a player seems like a good guy but i’d like France over him on a one or two year contract.
