- Here is how to make a busy book, the DIY toddler busy book. You can do this for almost free depending on the supplies that you already have. This learning binder has so much use in my house!!
What I didn't mention in my video is that once you get the pieces laminated and cut out, you use the velcro dots to attach them so that the book becomes interactive for the toddler. Then they can do it over and over!

I did not. Possibly maybe your laminator was on a lower setting or you used thick paper?
@@AddieDwyer I decided to do the cut-laminate-cut and it’s all good now. They don’t look as good I think but it works!
Do you recommend regular copy paper or cardstock?
just regular paper - if you use cardstock the lamination might not stick together properly

I've used it with my kiddos around 2 and up to 5. I've let my younger ones play with it to, but they don't necessarily do the activities, they just like to unstick and stick them
So how do you prepare the book that the child can actually play and practices with it as now everything is in place?
Do you undo all pages and put the parts in a basket?
You say it's practical on a Roadtrip-really wonder how as there would be all those little pieces flying around in the car?!
I let my kids undo them actually.. they will usually undo them and then put them back. It's great fine motor to let them do it themselves. We often just do it on the floor.
On a roadtrip I have a container or basket and when they take them off they put them there and then grab them again

Do you sell these books? I purchased the Montessori busy book and I was a little disappointed with the size of the Velcro very small dot they should make the Velcro a little larger so it’s easier for the toddler to get it on and off
I don't sell them unfortunately. That stinks it's hard for your toddler

Yes - first laminate so that the cards are sturdy, then add Velcro dots

Velcro tape gets off its glue is v cheap
The velcro dots that I use are in the description. They do not loose their stickiness and have held up with babies/toddlers pulling at them for over a year
