- A horn arrangement for Jacob Collier's new single "All I Need," written on 5/15/20 for five trumpets (ten at one point). This song slaps too hard to not have horns, so I did it myself.

As impressed as I am by the technical trumpet playing, I am far more impressed by the arranging. You truly added something to the piece. Geniunely a better version in my opinion. Obvioulys in some parts it was meant to display the trumpet more, but the syncopated horn hits and some of the extra melodic lines you added when trying to blend made the piece genuinely better. Praise from: an enormous jacob collier fan and an fmea allstate 1st chair trumpet player who knows he is completely out of his league. Just so crisp with the tonguing, surprisingly good tuning on the microtone sections, and generally great musicianship with phrasing. I can't wait to see more, subscribed!!!! Please make an instagram, you will blow in no time.

Thank you so, so much! 2:07 was actually one of the many moments (like TD$'s harmonies) where I didn't want my horn lines to obscure the cool moments that were already there! (Plus, between you and me...I needed time to pull out my tuning slide lol)

nice chart, Andrew. At the start, you've got kind of a EWF groove, then I felt that the energy went a little flat {energy, not the notes :)}. Do you play another horn? A sax or flute would really make your sound kicking. Good work, good luck. One last thing. In the open bars, in the breaks, try adding a little trill in the open bars.

Perfect!! I personally think you could've been more audacious and put more horn lines throughout, but i understand you wanted to respect the cool moments and just add a bit of flavor. Needless to say, amazing arrangement!

yea it mightve been cool to add some more stuff but i thik he did amazing job, i think its better to keep it like this as the purpose was only to add some flourishes not much else
How did you attack the weird pitch change to g half sharp? (I think) did you just adjust in post or retune entirely?
