Wow the Switch version is absolutely beautiful! The attention to detail for the lighting of each stage is so above and beyond, the texture changes and small things like the way the characters are positioned in retrospect to the camera make everything have so much more personality and seem more lively, this is so cool to see!
@@zil0484 you do realize RD2 is using the same lighting algorithms that this game is o3o they just spent 8 years on a realistic art style vs 3 with a cartoony art style. Fast moving rivers actually looks better in this game then in RD2, It just looks off in that game and the way it ripples and reacts to player looks unnatural and is clearly just the bitmaps being pulled around.

That’s actually the opposite, this game has a “washed out” aesthetic for so many characters, it’s weird. I still think the Switch version looks better though.
Having the fighters face more towards the screen is a really good move. Gives the player a better chance to appreciate the finer details they really emphasized in Ultimate.
xDexter010x haha. So far I unlocked about 10 characters. Besides balance issues It’s definitely Smash 4 based with a air dodge nerf and a directional air dodge. It has a few new characters and stages and music but a lot of it is all from previous games. The graphics still look Wii U based but I would still hang on to your 3DS for smash bros because SMASH 3DS is more fun for competitive play but if you want a true party fighter then ultimate is for you!

The colors are more saturated, shadows and lighting is improved, higher particle count, textures are sharper, models are more detailed. Overall just great!

El switch es una consola con capacidades muy limitidas asi que es entendible que prefieran ahorrar mucha texturas en un personaje en Concreto (DK) a cambio de usar esas texturas para mejorar muchas otras partes del juego en vez de a un solo personaje en concreto
I feel like nintendo was going for a more smoothed out look of the models, so they could keep the anti aliasing. While today, they go for more detail and care less about anti aliasing.
I kind of prefer some of the older characters stances and colours (mostly with Samus and Donkey among, as well as how almost everyone's weirdly moved about 45* to the side), but the stages look positively gorgeous.

Ultimate tiene sombras y texturas de mayor de calidad, pero en general no hay gran diferencia. Smash de Wii U arrastraba muchas cosas de Brawl sin cambiarles casi nada, por eso hay escenarios con menos detalle. En los escenarios que eran originales en Smash de Wii U al compararlos con Ultimate de Switch se notan apenas cambios y a veces porque el sistema de iluminación es diferente. La resolución es la misma en ambos juegos (1080p) btw.

I've both games and I agree with this comment, I prefer some details on Wii U like Link's hair. I suppose it's because Ultimate has a faster gameplay and developers needed to "downgrade" some things to keep 60 fps.

switch dk suits the stylistic pattern of smash far better than the vague furball of wiiu. ultimate is much more focused on silhouette, and rightly so. now if only they cut down on the smoke effects a bit, maybe that change wouldnt be as lost on people

I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect larger differences. The Switch is not much more powerful than the Wii U and Smash 4 was probably the best looking Wii U game overall.

Love that background music. I think some scenes the wii u version looks better especially color wise. The switch version has more scenery detail though. I'm pretty sure in person the switch version looks better.

The Switch is a lot more detailed, but the main difference I’m seeking is the lighting. The coloration/brightness of everything is much more realistic now. It is also much more vibrant due to this.

Even though it clearly looks better here, It still does Ultimate little justice as it looks far better in person. It's really unbelievable!
Love that background music. I think some scenes the wii u version looks better especially color wise. The switch version has more scenery detail though. I'm pretty sure in person the switch version looks better.

En swtich se han esforzado más en los detalles del escenario y sus fondos pero en Wii u por ejemplo se ve mucho mejor donkey kong
It’s worth noting that the stages at 0:30 and 1:26 were directly ripped from brawl on the Wii U version. So for those stages, it’s more of a Wii-Switch comparison.
What's crazy with the Switch version is how great the graphics looks on what's basically tablet components and hardware.

Lo que no me gustó tanto del ultimate es el exceso de brillo hasta en los mapas oscuros se ven los personajes muy iluminados a mí no me gusta
En el smash ultimate hay una opcion de poder bajarle el brillo pero cada quien por que a mi no me molesta que sea mas iluminado en el de la wii u tambien me gusta que no sea tan iluminado

After a strong look. I think the U version looks better in some points. In other the switch looks better. Donkey kongs fur, looks on the u way more alive and realistic. The switch version looks a bit to bright.

The Switch is a lot more detailed, but the main difference I’m seeking is the lighting. The coloration/brightness of everything is much more realistic now. It is also much more vibrant due to this.

strange...most aspects look much better but some obviously worse. Fur shading on DK is gone plus the texture resolution of the castle stage is a lot worse.
Claro, ahora dicen que el Smash Ultimate es mejor y mamadas así, pero en 4 años más (mínimo) saldrá otro y a este lo tratarán como basura. Eso pasó con Smash de Wii U, inclusive pasó con Brawl. Puedo llegar a apostar eso.

Correcto. En 2014 Smash for Wii U era idolatrado como lo está siendo Ultimate en este momento. Ahora hablan de él como un juego que fue basura. Es lo malo de los fanboys de momento. Por cierto, ambos juegos increíbles de contenido, por supuesto que cada nuevo juego debería superar al anterior.
