How To Enlarge Speaker Box Holes - Best Professional Video

This is ONE way to enlarge your speaker box hole. Total enlargement will be exactly 1/4" added to the diameter (1/8" added to the radius because we will be removing 1/8" of material all the way around). There are at least two other methods using two completely different router bits than the ones I used. One way is to use a Rabbet Bit with a specially selected bearing and do two passes similar to the ones in this video to take 1/8" off, and the other way is to use a specialized bit which removes 1/16" of material at a time, again doing two passes to first cut a lip and then do the final cut.
I used my method mainly because I did not want to wait for a Rabbet Bit to ship to me from Amazon. I could have used the Rabbet bit method to take off 1/8" or the specialized bit method to take only 1/16" off, but I wanted this done today.
