Beautiful impressions using the dies and the stencil. Makes me long for my Cuttlebug machine. It was just the right size, weight and oh, so simple. Now I need to be an engineer to figure out the plates, sandwiches and shims, as well as be a weightlifter. You make your techniques look so easy - great teacher!
Such a great teacher. I’m also appreciating using dies and the guy cutting machines as I’ve kind of gotten away from them and gotten lazy and I want to get back and use them because I really do enjoy using diecuts.

Back in the day (1980s), I stenciled all kinds of things, including walls. The stencils we used back then came printed on mylar and you had to cut them with an exacto. Or we sometimes bought the mylar and traced designs from magazines or whatever. I'd forgotten about all that until seeing that part of your video! Cheers!
Thank you very much for this well explained video. I especially liked the idea of using frame dies for embossing, think is makes a card look very classy and will definitely be practicing is my own! Thank you too for speaking clearly and not too fast, that is such a help to those who need to wear hearing aids or have a hearing impairment.

Like your brain wave moment. I have a couple of dies that don't cut well, but I like the design. So now I can store them with my embossing folders. I also have an Altenew folder that cuts in places when I try to emboss. I'll try the misting trick on it and play with the sandwich. I do so enjoy your videos. TY

Hello! I love all your videos, thank you for sharing! I have a question. With the round leaf die you used that both cut and embossed, could you use a rubber embossing mat so that it only embossed and not cut out the center? Thank you again.
That should work but I would recommend dampening the card slightly before embossing with a rubber mat. The cutting line would be more pronounced than the embossed dots when using a rubber mat!

Sorry for the gaffes... An embossing die uses the regular die sandwich... NOT with a rubber mat!

Embossing dies don't cut out completely, the first two I used are snowflake from Creative-depot and the border die from Penny Black.

Yes and I use a pokey tool to gently prise it off!
