Hey if you haven’t already you should time the position of the polls timing on the motors by moving the pinion one tooth when meshing it with the spur gear so all the motors don’t pulse at the same time. Like imagine a 4 cylinder engine and all the cylinders firing at the same time. 15 years ago we were doing this with dual motor setups and it helped a lot with smoother acceleration and cogging. Also if you do lose a motor it’s not as hard on the remanding motor’s. And for anyone wondering I do have a bachelors in mechanical engineering and am ASE master certified.

My dual Hobbywing 4268 2600kv limitless one of the esc wires came loose from the splitter and released some smoke. I thought for sure I fried something. Fixed the wire, ran it after cool down and it still put down 142mph on 6s. Motors smell terrible but still worked. I was surprised. Glad to see you back making content. Appreciate everything you do for the hobby

Blows my mind the speeds these creations can achieve. 2 questions
    1. How far is the actual length of the runway past you once the car passes you?
    2. How do you even see it once it passes you going away? 😂😂😂.

You can shorten wires you just have to heat and apply enough solder to burn off the coating on the wires first then clean it up and solder. Been doing that with drone motors since 2015.

Great Video!! I like all the info and appreciate it. Even though I don’t do speed runs. But used to race banked oval. With pan cars. So i know when you say there is so much involved to go that fast. It isn’t just a big motor and a big battery. It’s so much more. You definitely know how to set the car up. I would think once you trim it to go straight. You don’t touch the wheel anymore until you have to turn around. I could be wrong. But going that fast you wouldn’t want to touch it. Or you will tumble for a mile. Lol. Great Video!!👍👍

Reason the R/C Hobby doesn't get the respect it deserves is the fact people still thinks these hobby grade machines are toys. Tell me, how does your hobby grade machine compares to a R/C toy found in let say your Walmart? Remember Toys "R" Us or Radio Shack, yes those were toys and I think I even saw them mention in some of the toy models being hobby grade, but it was hardly that. I really hope to see one day people change the way they think about these sophisticated machines that can sometimes equal the technology of highly advanced full scale vehicles. Finally if you consider these machines toys, how are your toy grade parts?

I still don't get why aero is seemingly so overlooked. I mean, it's understandable that people are throwing power and battery tech at the problem, but right now that seems to have plateued a little. But the bodies still have features that are unneeded. Drag has a direct corelation to fronttal area, right? So, why have a canopy in an RC car for instance? I guess all this have been tried, and perhaps forgotten, but if you are on a plateau trying to eeke out the last few miles woudln't it be worth looking into in depth?

Your best bet is a fused wire directly to the battery, that kind of amps through the car electrical system will cause problems with your car. Getting it to come out the rear will take more effort than from under hood unless your battery is in the rear.

9:00 this is why you should never curb too much electrical wires under big Amp
They could changes the conductivity, altered phase control, and return voltage generate on a phase to esc.
Balancong is essential, differences in length is less damageable than overtuen the cable on itself
Big listake here. Playing high amp requires big respect for rules of physic.... especially electrical here.

I love the Fireteam. It's my favorite rig in the collection. Not the biggest, fastest, best handling, or toughest but it's the best combination of all those things that I've found. I just beat the snot outta mine today. Huge air, front and back flips to dirt and pavement. Only a pillow ball popped out from hitting a pine tree about twenty feet up with the left front tire. 3 minutes later she was back in action. The small plastic panels are the only negative. If you're running the body then put small washers on every screw holding the body panels to the cage. It'll last a ton longer. I have went thru 2 sets of plastic in a year. Currently have all the stuff to convert mine to a Bigrock body when time allows. Can't wait to see what you do to one.

Raz your cars are works of art. Everything machined aluminum and carbon fiber zero tolerances. Just works of art plain and simple. The fact that you've raised the bar so far in the last year that a 214mph is a let down just shows how far and fast you've come. I wondered how many runs can you get out of a set of wheels? I thought those batteries were looking pretty plump. I'm glad to see you used professionals to discharge them.😅😂 Also I always wondered, if those are 1/10 scale cars going 200mph plus. If you scaled them back up to full size is it the equivalent of a full size car going 2000mph plus?

Be different from what everyone is doing. 150mph with a 40lb offroad 8skraton, losi 5b/Dbxle, traxx XRT or Kraken vesla would be just as hard and impressive as 223mph with a 1/7 scale on road car built for speedruns...Clearly limitless and hobao are proven platforms but thinking outside the box will help our rc community evolve.

  • @dazaspc
    @dazaspc 5 місяців тому

Um Raz you kind of got the wire stuff partially incorrect.
Firstly in a lead enameled wire shorting between single elements of the conductor only happens if there is a break in that conductor or if it has been cooked as it increases the resistance of the copper forcing the current to find an easier way. High current through undersized cable causes it to heat up changing resistance as does repeating the process making the copper harder. The thinner the sections of the cable the faster this happens also. This is why serious duty conductors are made from solid copper. It's only convenience that makes using flexible cable a thing. However in the motor windings shorting insulation alters the magnetic field and become unbalanced then causes problems with excessive current not turned into a magnetic field having to dissipate as heat.
    Cheers
