I love watching all the things that y’all do on the farm but I think by far as a mother my favorite is getting to watch Sadie grow it’s like watching my own babies hit those milestones all over again.
To hear Sadie laughing was fantastic. and also to hear her talking away to herself, it's because now she realizes what she can do with her voice, Adorable. The digging of holes is finally over and the rebar is almost done, so next we will see the concrete foundations sprouting up from those holes, Great job you guys.
Even her cry seems pleasant haha not to mention the lack of crying. Mistake me if I’m wrong but what a blessing ! Until she starts teething of course :p hahaha

What also breaks down compost a lot faster is having it on the ground, not on top of cement. All the bacteria, worms etc might make it up on the cement, but it goes a lot faster being in touch with the ground. I was also wondering why you don’t do a quick dot weld instead of the wiring for all the rebar? Loving watching all the work you do!
Sadie's laugh! Wow! I miss that! My kids are older and it was so refreshing to watch and hear! LOL! I swear when Kaylee was on on fours and said wait for it.....LOL!!!! That position is what I taught my kids to get in when they're gassy!!! I swear it works every time! So I thought NO! Does Kaylee know it too!!!!! LOL!!!! oh man that was so funny!

I moved to Costa Rica 20 years ago. I've been through so many of the same things as you two. I live outside of San José, in Tres Ríos. I have also always loved seeing all of the different types of bugs. Some are soooo cool! Definitely, a love hate relationship, as the Junebugs (avejones) and flying ants (aguelas) arrive. I visited Boquete in 2003. I remember a place with hot spring baths next to a super cold river between Boquete and David. A piece of advice if you can swing it - a Spanish immersion program is soooo helpful. And then decide to only speak Spanish with a few of the people on the farm who you interact with regularly, like Adriana and Kaki. It will be good for Sadie, too, to learn to always turn on Spanish for those people. BTW, I love how easily you've made friends and added people to your community.
