I hate the way they built him up so much, he was the whole reason for the first curse, and then killed him off and had the guy who helped his mum abandon him got to be happy with the only woman Neal ever loved and see his son grow up, and his father became a better man for his replacement family, and then he was basically never mentioned again.

It's very in character cause even after all he's been through, he's still a pure and gentle soul, and I understand why they couldn't kill off Rumplestiltskin in season 3 (I would've rebelled lol), but still 😭 Neal, Emma and Henry deserved to be a family. To break the walls of year-long hurt, heartbreak and mistrust and learn to love each other again.

My heart cannot take these two. There’s just something about them. A truly deep undying love that transcended the typical kind of live you’d see on a tv show. I did absolutely love Hook and Emma together, but they were like every other made for tv, made for views, made for shipping couple. Jenn and Micheal somehow brought such an incredible realness to Emma and Neal’s love. Not made for tv. Real love. Hats off to those two actors.

The only thing I hate about the series is they don't give chances for Neal, Emma & Henry to be one happy family. All 3 have endured so much since they were little (Neal being abandoned, Emma & Henry were given up, then Henry had a psycho adoptive mother), they deserve to be happy together 😢
I love this ship. Emma and Neal together was an important part of the original concept and premise of the show, especially because they are Henry's parents.

LOL I had these very same thoughts during the course of the series! While I actually wanted Emma and Neal to end up together, I even thought Emma and Graham would have been good if they hadn't killed him off so early in the series. Emma and Hook always felt forced, imo.
idk why the Creators of the Show thought of Emma being in an Relationship with Hook cuz like isn't Hook hella old? Cuz Emma was Born when the Curse Happened. Besides i Love Emma and Neal Together
My headcanon is that Emma and Neal ended up together and got to properly raise Henry. Jennifer Morrison and Michael Raymond-James had phenomenal chemistry that the OUAT chose to throw away like Swanfire was irrelevant. Never bought a single second of that forced and overrated Emma-Hook relationship.
@@drlee2 I initially liked Captain Swan but I feel like they took much of Hook's personality away in the later seasons, I really only like him in season 2 and 3A maybe. They made him Emma's lovesick lap puppy and I won't stand for that 🫠 but her and Neal were perfect for each other
@@fabricofdreams. Yes, that's something that I noticed, too, as the series progressed. Hook basically existed only to be Emma's love interest and had no other purpose on the show. But Neal had way more going for him than just being Emma's love interest and was an important character to the show. Also, I think killing off Neal essentially ruined Rumple's character and the writers turned him into a 1-dimensional, mustache-twirling villain who only lusted for power. They kept making Rumple the bad guy in everything after Neal died.
