Juilliard is a difficult school, so make sure you practice. I personally make schedules for instruments I play, but as long as you practice a lot, you'll be fine.

Me too. I’m 14 as well and practice 2-3 hours a day. This year, I’m auditioning for the Dreyfoos school of the arts for cello. I’m planning on auditioning for schools like Juilliard, Eastman, Manhattan school of music, and Curtis for music but I also have some other colleges in mind. I know I’m only in 8th grade, and my future is way ahead of me but I’ve been stressing out about this topic for a while now. I hope all of the effort I put into cello will get me into a top music school.

What you want you want, means no one should be telling you otherwise, what you want is what your soul needs from your heart and mind, and hence what you need from life. Maybe Juilliard to this guy is a need for him in that way.

You cant just have no experience and jump into it. Start with ensembles in smallee shows. Then work your way up. Do not expect to get lead role and into Julliard with no experience whatsoever. People who go to Julliard work for it and have for years. Hope this helps
