I think an underrated part of this level is that a lot of the set ups had "fail safes" that activated whenever you fell for a previous troll. Like at the ending where if you got one power up it would immediately deactivate so you didn't see the fire flower or frog suit unless you dodged the other ones.
You know it's going to be a great video when Stevo's name is in the title! Time for simple, fun platforming with the hero Gottem City deserves!

@@ninjaugal3832 While the moments where Carl yells "Stevo!" are always classic, I really enjoyed Carl yelling "Mario Maker!" in this video. Seriously, what logical reason could there be for a POW block to go into the ceiling after grabbing a powerup in a one-block tall section?
I love how his editor puts the "Gotem City" edits whenever Carl says "Gotem."It made me laugh a lot

I absolutely loved every bait-and-switch at the end. Those were some of the best ones I've seen in MM2 stages. Kudos to Box and all those who helped make that magic happen.

I really admire geniuses that, like the ones here, can make a level that turns into an autolevel. Specially when it's all full of trolls that you can magically completely avoid when doing the right thing.

That ending has to be the most brilliant troll ever.
I love how Carl always manages to troll himself, then get trolled in the exact same way by the level. He's predicting the trolls subconsciously but in a way that he not only doesn't dodge them, but gets trolled by them twice.

I honestly love levels that use knowledge checkpoints on this scale. Because it lets the player feel like they're playing the game, only to drop it onto them after a while that they haven't even started the REAL game.
Remember when clear conditions were thought to make short levels because you can't have checkpoints?

There is no game series that can consistently leave me speechless like Mario Maker, and there are few creators that can wield that power like Stevo.
This is the first time I've actually thought that a level was extremely artistic in nature. It's got all of the details down in a top tier way. 😂

This is one of the funniest game play vids I have ever seen. The slope logic with falling fish was classic, directly followed by the pow block crush death (larl self troll) made everything beyond hilarious 🤣 All the other frustrating repeated parts were super funny. Very impressed by this level with so many great ideas 🐛🌟

The auto troll that dumped you in the box was amazing. And then the kaizo block that you definitely checked for. And THEN the frog suit landing EXACTLY where you were. Incredible.

They should do a level based on 3 Oneways and a pipe box setup, but have doors inside them. Every box has a regular door and either a key door or a pswitch door.

Pretty impressive considering that there are only knowledge checkpoints and no actual ones.. though this enables them to include actual softlocks without removing your progress :/
