You did make a minor error. Around 10:50 in the video, you say that Santa Fe 5001 is a northern. It is a 2-10-4, not a 4-8-4. Great video regardless of any mistakes! It’s always a great time watching these model trains do their stuff!

I really don’t have that many postwar trains that are in good condition. I have some rolling stock and some passenger cars and a few engines but nothing spectacular or noteworthy

I have the MTH SNCF French line going around the Christmas tree/village with the MTH Super Chief Set in the yard. Wish I could get my E94 Crocodile out but that won’t fit the radius of the turns around the Christmas Tree 😢

I can see there are plenty of railfans in India given the number of videos from there I've seen. It appears there are little or no Indian Railways models being commercially produced though. Almost all of the IR models I have seen on UA-cam are scratch-built of cardboard, with some building powered locomotives and even trackwork+switches this way (example, 'BumBin Creative' ). Hopefully one day India's growing middle class will allow a domestic model train industry to arise there.

Your locomotive seemed to fit just right in there. Are you building the width of these display cases? Just to whatever you can fit in a certain area. I build the cases to the size that will fit in the area and then arrange the trains so they fit as well as possible. It’s kinda like train Tetris lol

eric I have quite a few engines my self. not as many as you but, maybe guessing around 200. I have not ran some in over two years. what engine of yours if you had to guess has sat and not been run in years? there has to be one at least😊
Probably my standard gauge engines get the least run time because I have to set up the standard gauge track on my living room floor.

As always the MTH European trains really stand out. Those were some of their finest works at the time and probably still are even today. It’s a shame they weren’t really appreciated by us here or the Europeans apparently.

Eric, why did you go Mach E over Tesla? Any regrets? I’m looking at the Mach E or a CPO Etron GT for my next commuter. Personally Teslas are everywhere now so I want to be different. Also, I’m sure parts are available from Ford and Audi vs Tesla if the car was ever in an accident.
I went the the Mach-e because i like the interior accommodations better. No regrets at all, I absolutely love the mach-e.

So you must be independently wealthy? Would need access to Fort Knox to cover the cost of all these toys? I was just comparing Lionel catalog prices, 2020 vs. 2023. There locomotive prices seem to be up an average of 36 percent over the course of the last 3 years. What will we see, next year?
