I think your "Little Red Hen" journal is very creative!! A very creative outlet. As they say, "Crafting is cheaper than therapy." So true!! The flip you mentioned is called a "Rita flip." I went back and watched someone who mentioned them in her journals all the time, and that is what she called them.

I got really inspired by your journal. I have an old childrens book from my childhood. It was one of my first and favourite stories. I am going to make a journal out of it! Thank you for the inspiration ❤

Awesome! My first junk journal I made for a friend who was having a baby. I was proud of how it came out. Although I no longer have it, I took some pictures of it. I've now made five more, wasn't crazy about the last one I made.
@@AmiRuth_Treasures I laughed every time I look at my first journal. For whatever reason I could not figure out how to bind it together. I used a cereal box as my cover. Now that I am a ‘little’ more experienced with binding I am thinking of redoing the spine. Anyway, I am glad to have come across your channel. I look forward to watching more of your videos🙂💜.

Hi Ami, you showed up in my feed, so I thought I would stop by and see you! You have a new subbie! I love finding other journal makers in this beautiful community. I think this is an a pretty awesome first journal. I love the LGB covers. They add so much to a journal. I have one started, but never went any further. It is fun to go back over the journals we have made in the past, isn't it? My very first journal is probably the only actual 'junk' journal I have made. I did end up rebinding mine because it was falling apart because all I used was a piece of scrapbook card stock as the cover. LOL I did not want to lose any of the stuff in it because it all came out of my memory box. I called it my book mark journal. Everything inside of it stayed the same though. I love themes as well. It really helps me get a journal together. To fix the lose threads, you would have to snip your threads and just rebind it. I really enjoyed the video, and I look forward to see more of your videos. Yes it was! But like I said it took me many hours, really months to put it together. I was in no hurry and it was so crucial at that time of my life to have something to pour myself into. So although this one is filled with creativity, I’m spending less time on each journal now so that I can make more. But I always try to find details that will make them unique.
