ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I do believe you are underselling yourself and your product.
$550 for just the balloon garland alone in most markets.
A custom double sided wood backdrop another $500.
The custom sign $50-$100.
Your time????
Your client's reaction----PRICELESS!!!!
Yes Thank you. You are absolutely right, we were about to raise our prices again but I became busy with work and we decided to not book any new clients a while back. We started about a year ago and would always increase prices as we got better at it. But about maybe 8 months in is when we decided to slow down. And these jobs that I'm posting were booked for the most part, months back and at a lower price than what we would do now for sure. It all happened so quick and we were just winging it, didn't expect for it to grow like it did. You are exactly right in your prices, I believe once you have a couple events down and people are booking then this setup would be a lot more expensive. When people saw our work we booked pretty quick and I should of raised the prices faster, lol. The reason I am posting the prices is I do like to show what our prices were just a couple of months in. Hopefully anybody in this business will learn from our tips and mistakes so they can grow their business. There is not much people willing to show the business side of event backdrops and that is what drove me to start this channel. I have been wanting to do a video on pricing and what we learned, hopefully soon. Balloons and backdrops can look more like art and the time spent learning and designing should definitely be reflective of that in pricing. Thank you so much for your comment, I hope more people see it.

How do you attached the balloons to the wood wall
I LOVE this wall and how easy it was to install! Can you make a video on how to make the side posts with the slots?
Never mind I found it! THANK YOU!
@@SoireebySorangelLuxuryEventsBa Your welcome, thanks so much for watching.
Hello! I was trying to figure it out. Where did you find it at. I just brought his pdf for the plynth’s so I can make that as well. Love everything that he does and also his crew to complete everything. T.I.A
@@treannateaston Hi, thank you so much for purchasing the plans. I am hoping to make a video on how to build the wood wall by the end of the month with more exact plans. But here is the video that has some of the measurements and extra info to build it for now. DIY Hot air balloon, Wood backdrop and plinths for events> ua-cam.com/video/D3dJDYpf0z0/v-deo.html
@@MakerDecor ok thank you and that shows how to make the stand part that holds the wood pieces. You are more than welcome keep doing what you do for people like me really appreciate it
Hello do you have a video on how to make the wood wall used in this video? Thank you😊
Hi thanks for watching. I havent made a video yet on how to make the backdrop, but I made a video on the measurements. Its on my channel. Here is the link also

Hey buddy, this is stunning idea!!! What material can I use if I want to keep re-painting? can you do a video on this plz?
Hi thanks for watching. For material I would just keep the wood and paint with primer. I have had to repaint it three times white in a year because I want it to look bright white.
Love your videos and I can’t wait to make my cylinders from Etsy. How do u attached the letter tho the backdrop?
Thank you so much for watching and purchasing from our etsy store. To attach the letters to the backdrop we use fishing string. And then like one or two command double sided stickers. The fishing string holds it up, then we use the double sided command stickers to make sure it is level. Thanks for your question!
How did you attach the balloons to the wooden backdrop?
Tengo una actividad que decorar este mes próximo , pero yo tardo un poco más en mis instalaciones ya que soy sola 😭 1 a 2 horas, pero tomaré algunas ideas de aqui
Gracias. Sí, algunas veces lleva más tiempo.
I bought the backdrop plans and column on Etsy thanks for sharing.
so how did you did you do the letters??? Following I see it
Thank you so much. I have that video on making the name on my channel. But I am making another video that should be up soon on making backdrop signs.
Very beautiful! How do you stick the balloons to the wood?
Hi thanks for watching! We used 260 Balloons. Those are those long balloons that people make into dog and animal shapes. We do not blow them up, we use them like big rubber bands. Just tie one end to the balloon garland and tie the other end to the wood backdrop and it pulls it and holds it tight to the wall. On the wall we have small screws on the side that we can tie the 260 balloon to.
@@MakerDecor Thank you!
Very nice. Where’s the video for the sign? I don’t see it.

Thanks for watching, here is the link. It is on my UA-cam page with videos titled How to make signs for backdrop rental business.
How did you make the sides the slots are going into? I'm about to make one
Hi, thanks for watching. To make the sides I just used two 1 x 6 boards and sandwiched a 1 x 3 board in-between them. Which left a 3 inch gap to slide the boards down. I did end up putting another piece of plywood that I cut to 1 x 3 and that was very thin. It was plywood underlayment which is the thinnest plywood Home depot sells like $10. I added this to the middle of the 1 x 6 sandwich next to the 1 x 3 board just to give more wiggle room when inserting the backdrop planks between slots. I did this because that 1 inch gap for the slots was a little snug when trying to put the 1 inch thick backdrop planks down. So this little extra room was perfect for them to slide in and out with out getting stuck. Hope this helps. (I may have used 1 x 8 boards for the sides, not sure).
@@MakerDecor good idea! Thanks! I was going to make it like a C shape but I think this be easier
That wall is gorgeous! How did you make it???
Hi, thank you very much. Here is a video showing how I built it. ua-cam.com/video/Xm9RwV8elXs/v-deo.html
Just wondering where do you purchase the lettering? Thank you
Hi thanks for watching. The lettering is custom made and cut. I do have other videos on our channel on how we made them. I am hoping to have a video out this month on making signs that has more detail, thanks for your comment.
❤️❤️🥰
Thank you!!
What do you use to transport the backdrop? I have an event that requires to transportthe backdrop up an elevator.
Hi, We usually just carry it in maybe 3 trips? But going up an elevator changes a lot of things. Do they have a service elevator which is usually larger than the standard guest elevator. I would check sizes because I am not sure if this would fit a standard elevator. I have never tried this backdrop up an elevator. I have done our grass backdrop and piping up an elevator a couple of times. It is smaller but we still had trouble and I hated it. So definitely do a lot of research and measuring to make it fit. I really would not recommend this backdrop for elevator transport. If you have to bring extra help because elevators are a pain. Maybe explain to the client that it would not be easy accessible to set that backdrop up since it is only the elevator access and maybe she would be ok with something else. I really would avoid the headache of big backdrops and elevators, not worth it and lots of extra work. Please let me know if you have any other questions I can help with.
How do your take it apart? I am new to this balloon business ☺️
Hi, thanks for watching. People have made different options to take it apart. I just used a drill with maybe 4 to 6 screws. It felt secure and I was comfortable with it. But people have used metal pins, Bolts, etc to keep it together and quickly take it apart.
How did you secure the ballons?
Hi thanks for watching! We used 260 Balloons. Those are those long balloons that people make into dog and animal shapes. We do not blow them up, we use them like big rubber bands. Just tie one end to the balloon garland and tie the other end to the wood backdrop and it pulls it and holds it tight to the wall. On the wall we have small screws on the side that we can tie the 260 balloon to.
did u do this yourself ?? the wood backdrop diy vid on this ??
Hi, thanks for watching and yes I created the wood backdrop. I can definitely do a video on how I created it, It was actually very simple. Give me some time and I can see when I get a chance.
Hi there, is this made out of 1x material or 2x
Hi, thanks for watching. This is made out of 1 x material for the posts and wood panels. But the bottom leg plates are 2 x material because I wanted the base to be stable and sturdy.
I stumbled upon your video where you explain everything 🙌🏽🙌🏽 thank you
@@franciscoruiz2890 Awesome, thanks for watching!
ok but how did you get the balloons to stay on it?
Hi, we use 260 balloons. Those are the type of balloons people make animal shapes out of. They are similar to a long rubber band. Just tye the 260 balloon in a loop and wrap it around a corner or screw and the 260 acts like a thick rubber band pulling the balloon garland into place. Hope that helps!
Cuánto cobran por hacer esa pared de madera con los globos
How did you make that back drop ?
Hi, I made the sides out of 2 x 8s and I sandwiched a smaller 1 x 4 in the middle to create like a U shape that planks of wood can slide down. I will put together a closer look video of how I put it together and give more exact measurements. Thanks for watching.
@@MakerDecor thank you so much!!!
What is your estimate cost on investment into building this wall
That depends on a lot of the lumber price in your location. Here lumber went up, some more than double the cost when I first built this due to covid. With todays prices your probably looking around $325 for just materials. I just uploaded a video that has more description in the lumber and size I used to build this wall on my channel. You can probably write down the info and get more of an accurate price looking in your area as lumber prices do vary on location. Thanks for watching and your question.
@@MakerDecor omg yo compré los materiales ayer y eso mismo gaste $325 😂 gracias por los manuales en Etsy han sido de gran ayuda!
Hello Sir, I have been doing this for over nine years. If you wish, I would like to work with you.
Do you let the customer keep the wooden name?
Hi, the name yes because they pay for it. The Happy Birthday we reuse but we charge for the custom name and they keep it.
How do you attached the balloons to the wood wall
Hi, we have small screws on the side of the wood wall. And we use certain balloons called 260's. We do not inflate the 260 balloons, they are stretchy similar to giant rubber bands. We tie them to the wood screw and loop around the balloon garland. Since it is stretchy, it pulls the balloon garland into place. Hope this helps.
@@MakerDecor oh okay thank you 😊
