  • "Kriegieland: Conversations with ex-POWs" interview with Rodney Kephart, a civilian contractor taken prisoner by the Japanese Army following the surrender of Wake Island on 23 December 1941. He was imprisoned at Fukuoka Camp 18 in Japan and was liberated following the Japanese surrender in August 1945. Rodney P. Kephart was born on 3 July 1917 in Spencer, Iowa. He was an ordained Episcopal priest and died on 5 February 2002 in Stanley, North Dakota.
    The interview was produced by the ‪@UofNorthDakota‬ and conducted by Elmer Lian, himself a POW in Germany during World War II.
