Very glad to have come across this channel. I find the amount of content for Starwars Legion is lacking. I am just getting started and am glad to see videos like this.
One thing I would mention, putting non-combatants on a more expensive unit doesn’t affect their points efficiency to any noticeable degree, as they get removed last but one to the unit leader, essentially saving one model, absolute best case. Otherwise great video!
I run 3x AT-RTs, 3x Naked Troopers w/ R5, and R2-D2. So much healing for the AT-RT's and it really gives the troopers a job, instead of just move/shoot.
Upgrade I’d like to see is an Agile 1 gear or training upgrade. It probably would have to be non-creature trooper to balance with Tauntauns, but I think it would be a good way to leverage nimble if kept cheap.
This is semi helpful. A better break down for equipment and abilities can be useful, especially as some options can be devastating. Best example that comes to mind are the bacta capsules and stimms.
The problem with Rebel Troopers is that they are more dependant on having a lot of heavy cover than any other core unit. I've seen tournament tables where Rebels had zero chance of winning.
I'd like to see dodge dropped and replaced with 'Alert', 'Assist', Ready' or 'Warning', keep the rule set the same but enable any trooper unit within range 1 to benefit from that dodge token, it would at least mean it's harder for your opponent to simply target troopers without the dodge and could bolster heroes nicely. You might want to limit it to max one spent per attack.
I lii ok be this series. Would you consider doing something similar for Xwing? Breakdown a ship, the standard pilots+upgrades it comes with and then perhaps name off your favorite combos with that ship.
Do you think there's a place for a personnel upgrade like a Medic? It'd be halfway between the extra trooper and the 2-1B Medical Droid. Something akin to 18-20 points Treat 1, Capacity 1 but without the Noncomabatant keyword from the 2-1B. You could still heal a single damage, but could still shoot back.
If that's the direction they are going I'm not gonna be happy about it. Then we are still having to pay more points for a "Fix" - so Stormtroopers will still have the advantage. Unless it's free to units with "Nimble".
Crabbok Yeah, that would be a tough sell for standard Rebel corps, but it’d make Vets pretty dang good. There just needs to be something to juice Dodge tokens a bit more, but I don’t know what. A cheap Electrobinocs equivalent to Take Cover maybe?

Rebel Z-6 with offensive push to use as a fire support buddy to gain even more dice and crit 2.
