Jirre, what a game by the Lions!
Wowsers! The lions are looking like the old Ackerman Lions team a few years back! Great running rugby!
From a team that couldn't tackle, to showing this kind of heart is awesome to see!
Please hold onto the players.
Damn - the Lions showing some class - their backline is firing!!!
They are interlinking very good. Well, done to the coaching stuff!
I'm a Stormers supporter, but really chuffed to see our SA compatriots playing so well, congrats to the Lions!
Lol the Lions are my second favorite team now💯🇿🇦
Lions don't need superstars they create good teams out of nothing just pure determination and hard work
They are becoming superstars!
Talk about punching above your weight ^^".
Of all the four victorious South African teams today, the Lions might have earned it the most !
Wow. Actually decent highlights
holding connacht with a 7 man scrum all game , impressive
For a team that is starved of Springboks (by design perhaps??) the Lions are creating something special. We have to start giving credit to the coaching team backing them.
Not by design. Just poor financial management. They will just be a "good" team. They need current Springboks, which they won't get.
@@pre-dawnraid9037 lol they don't need useless Boks, ask the Sharks
@@jean-pierreheyns4579 Shall I ask the Bulls?
We make springboks, Springboks don't make us 😉
@pre-dawnraid9037 Bulls 🤣🤪 you need to work out where the international players come from forst before they become international players Bulls have poached plenty of lions players ffs
14 players Impressive !!
There won't be any Irish commenters here. But when you think about it, the Lions have always had the ingredients for success. It's inevitable that they would start to impress at some point.
@@F..U. They had a decent home record though. And if the LIons can beat them at home, any South African team can beat them in Ireland.
@@F..U. Did I say that Connacht is terrible? No, I did not. In fact, they've been competitive this season. And I wasn't talking about where they were positioned on the table - I was mostly talking about tonight's performance.
‘At some point’ I think they’ve been quite good this season and last season. They finished 9th last year. And it’s more impressive when you consider they have to play the South African teams twice. The Welsh and Scottish have it easy.
True just sad that due to their financial situation, they end up losing most of their star players every year and have to rebuild
I've always loved the lions but I feel like we've always halfway sucked except for brief moments. 2017 when Kwagga was in we were good, but tbh I absolutely love our squad atm, tons of raw potential, tons of chemistry, a very fun style of rugby to watch, and the secret Nohamba weapon
Where on earth does this explosive lions energy come from?
The northern hemisphere will improve its rugby because of the South African sides
That is probably why Crusaders are losing at the moment because SA isn't in it
Lol what@@jeanm27
Tell em bro 😂😂
No bro lions are kicking butt
@@jeanm27 New Zealand is going to feel the true absence of SA teams in super rugby when this current All Blacks generation retires. The new guys will only encounter South Africans while wearing an All Blacks jersey and the Bok physicality and intensity will shock them. 😅😅
Go Lions, 14 men and demolished them😅
Our Lions are getting stronger 🦁
Great Game 🇿🇦
I am a die hard Stormers fan but when the Lions turn up the razzle dazzle
They remind you what munster do to stormers beat them everytime.😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@michaelmoynihan9591 easy tiger 😂😂😂😂😂
@@michaelmoynihan9591so what you lose to sharks most of the time and they haven't beat the stormers in years
Same here !
@@michaelmoynihan9591 Much trash talk from the consistent 2nd best team in Ireland.
Lions are playing some exciting rugby and scoring spectacular tries this season. I'm glad lions gave Sanele Nohamba a chance to start regularly.
He is classy!
He has to be considered in MVP conversations.
o Lions jogou com o coração. Atuação inspiradora
Good to see the lions enjoying themselves.
Talk about SA rugby ❤
Wow, looks like a well coached team. Beautiful support play as well. Stunning rugby!
Wow the Lions!😮
Pity they couldn't win in super rugby like th other sa teams, now they're in a comp. they can win on a regular basis.😂😢😢😢
@pfgc61 they made 2 super rugby finals with one of the greatest squads at the time . They are good just that they can't hold on to their star players when fully developed.
Great stuff Boys! Lion roar!
Hard luck to the prop getting a red card - he is phenomenal and extremely agile for his size! Always in the action and doesn't shy away from making hard tackles.
All the south african teams played stellar rugby in recent round of
URC ...mmmmm
Sounds a lot like UFC
Because its rugby'$ ultimate fighting challenge , and my
"Danero " is on a South African team to be victorious!
Cant wait for the south africa vs ireland upcoming fight! In june!
Thats gonna be a super heavy weight fight to find out who is rugby'$ current heavyweight champion of the world!
Gonna be a humdinger!!!!!
Cant wait!
Cooked em a man down 😂 great game by the Lions
never seen a guy get flattened like what Ntlabakanye did to that poor man, red card for sure but good lord what a tackle
153kgs😭😭
I felt bad for the oke when I saw it, but I couldn't help burst out laughing
He was even on his knees.
When I saw that live, I knew it was going to be a red card, but where else does he need to go, his knee was a few inches from the ground, bent at the waist, made a dominating tackle
The law was going to be applied by the ref, there was more than enough mitigating factors to not provide the red card, but the Lions never let that get to them
He was 41.3cm from the player when he tapped having started early. His knee was low but everything else was literally vertical. Of course he was going to make head contact with a player stooping to collect a ball from the ground. One of the stupidest red cards in a long time and hopefully a citation following the game. Stupid bullshit.
Good weekend for the s.a. teams
14 man wow, well done lions
Commiserations Connaght, well played Lions.
I'm a bok fan, but our supporters really need to tone it down on here. Being windgat is a terrible look - be humble in victory chaps.
The shoe will be on the other foot at some stage and rugby is all about the camaraderie.
To the next game!
☝ this
Wow EU apologist, thanks for your contribution, maybe we should pray for EU rugby too 😂😂😂😂
1:53 Lions 12 ran a straight line. He didn't change his line to interfere with the tackler. The tackler then tried to tackle Lions 12 without the ball. I guarantee if the Connacht player was dominant in the collision, the penalty would have been for the Lions (tackling a player without the ball). I'm not complaining about the ref's call here, just pointing out how the outcome influences the ref's decision. And I don't think it should. Thoughts?
Great to see the lions living up to their potential
Awesome Lions....the SA teams a cut above the rest...no question!
The table tells otherwise? Of course, there are questions .
The Lions#3 was on his knees when he made contact I am not sure how the ref could say there was no mitigation. I am a full-on Stormers supporters but it seems as if they tried to nail the Lions from all sides. Good on you Lions. Their ma se ......
There 100% was enough mitigation to lower it to a yellow. I froze the vid at the point of contact, both players were low. If the ball carrier was upright, the tackle would've been on the midsection and perfectly legal
@@ben_l5347 the Lions scored some amazing tries and the spirit in the team was excellent to be battling it out like that with 14 men. I support ALL South African teams in whichever of the overseas tournaments thye are playing, but not when they play the Stormers!😁
Lions are roaring again! 👍👏 Blue Bull here...
Watching the game i probably would have put odds of 25:7 after the red card in favour of the Irish but oh my God!! Take nothing away from them but the Lions laced up and run them down from pillar to post...with 14 men no less. Monday will be the longest day when they review the match.
Now that's a PK. Not sure where you'd fit them in given the current talent in the Boks outside backs, but surely both Quan Horn and Edwill van der Merwe should be in the selection picture?
Nohamba respect 🫡
Go Lions!!!
14 vs 16 and still win.
No team does horror shows like Connacht!
The lions of old are back
Lekker rugby, lekker Leeu rugby!!!
Go the Lions! Yes, they did.
Big up to a 14 man demolition and to all the SA teams this weekend
Fantastic game by the Lions. All South African teams played really well this weekend. Will this put a stop to the fairytale that Ireland are the best team in the world? Probably not. Even though a lot of our first choice players are not playing locally, probably not.
Fact is sa are last 3 time bottle jobs against irish.
@@michaelmoynihan9591 This is an undisputable fact. I look forward to the upcoming tour. It should be great. I believe Ireland are a great team who deserve better than what they have achieved at World Cup level, which is absolutely nothing. Four cups for us is where I will leave this.
I'm aussie mate.yes I do think irish were unlucky at world cup as a neutral some scrum penalty in allblacks game. Irish were robbed.fact.? But I do think sa deserved the cup obviously hardest route to final.? It will be interesting irish in sa.prob be 2 close matches.? By the way us aussies for nxt worldcup 😂😂😂😂😂
@@michaelmoynihan9591 Damn! Had you pegged for Irish based on your surname. I am gutted by the mess that is Aussie rugby at the moment. Really hoping for your rapid return to glory. Also thanks to Australia for one of the greatest TV series of all time. #Mr.Inbetween.
@@peterpankhurst6925 I'm aussie mate with irish blood. We all love good battle.respect to sa .respect to irish mate..ye scotty ryan .hilarious mate. True crimeeeee😂😂😂😂😂😂 Mr.. in-between 😂😂

Dayum, a 14 man demolition in their backyard. Well done Lions!!
Nice Lions! 🦾
Connacht were really poor. Get the tackling bags out, first thing Monday morning !!!
How do you learn to tackle 153kg of meat?
01:00 how do you learn to take a hit from 153kg player ?
How did the lions win with 14 players for most of the game? Well done boys
I am a Bulls fan all my life but well done Lions.
WOW
Lions should be embarrassed about the first try by Connacht - a simple standing in line would have been enough. Shyte defence.
Lions roar💪
LION'S ❤
I've been a bit quiet lately as a lions supporter, but I think it's almost time to start telling people I support the lions again and drinking more brandy.
01:00 to 01:04 hardest wall he ever ran into. 😂
Mitigating factor, how do you expect the tackler to go?
Wow what a performance by lions imagine they had 15 men on the field
Joh, Lions...looks as lions of old when Spencer was in charge.
We hear your roar, all the way from Johannesburg ❤
How in God's name do u get demolished like that by a team playing with a man down fir 60+ minutes.
pretty sure there was also obstruction leading up to that first Connacht try
14 men and dissalowed tries and still pummeled the opposition. Someone should tag a certain rugby playing nations fans to show them how its done😂
Are you talking about the nation with the leading urc team and the reigning champions??
Get a hold of yourselves its embarrassing!
@@joemoody7440 not at all but it's interesting you made that connection. I was referring to another nation who lost in the world cup final and all we ever heard since was the 14 man and ref excuses.
@@joemoody7440 🤦♂
Mauled by the pride
How do you lose to 14 men?
Some BS calls all game long by this ref against the lions. Could have won by a LOT more!
Great win by the Lions! Well done!! But Connaght defense was dog water!! 🤮
Better team won
You that tackle was attempted murder
😂😂😂 ❤❤❤ best not to dance with 10ton black dude beginning to fall, MOVE!!! Gaan uit!!!!
Connacht such a horrid performance, zero ideas...
Pathetic defence and no heart...
Even had the extra man but lions looked like they had 5 extra players 😂😂😂😂
Red cards spoil the game. It's impossible to defend against 14men lol
Sigh. Sa supporters are the worst winners. Im very proud of the lions. These fake supporters commenting about how kak connacht is will be nowhere to be found when sa teams lose games
An u12 team would beat Connacht
Lions beating Ireland starting players with no Boks in their squard. Can't wait for July.
Connacht do not have many players in Ireland maybe 2 or 3
There wasn't a single Irish international on the pitch
@@spearsgearscian prendergast
Some trolls on here can't even get their information right. Irelands starting team 😂. Ya ooookay
Against 14 men hmffff....
To think they did it with only 14 men! ...& the all black supporters still claimed they lost the WC final due to 1 player down!😂
With 14 man 😂
Connacht and Ulster are 🐴kak atm
Ireland nr. 1 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 Bet the lions could've won this game even if they had 3 red cards
It looked like that at times
Where's the Irish fans? 😂
Here is the New Zealander with his multi accounts pretending to be a South African. The Irish fans are looking at the table, and it shows Leinster is top and Munster are the holders .
Lions sitting down the table in between Ulster and Connacht, who are badly out of form . Sharks look out , Zebre are coming for you 😉
Oh no, Benetton Treviso . Bye bye Lions .
@@celtic1916 Wow. You waited to come back to a 2 weeks old comment to try and get your revenge. So funny 🤣🤣🤣
Lovely speech. But the Lions are gone
Average team beating a below-average team. Both teams without Test players.
