Mazagatti is such a horrible ref. He literally admitted he fucked up and Anthony has a L because of him but then goes on to say he woulda disqualified Anthony's opponent if he seen the eye poke. So basically both guys would have been fucked over. You don't dq somebody over an accidental eye poke.

Steve Mazzagatti has made some bad decisions and choices as a referee that have screwed fighters over. Cecil Peoples as referee and judge has done even worse than Mazzagatti, screwing over even more fighters. Dana didn't say jack about that.
NEITHER have screwed fighters over as bad as the Rebook deal that Dana White agreed to. So... he can shut up.
First one wasn’t really his fault. That was the most dramatic reaction to an eye poke I’ve ever seen.

That’s why the high profile refs get paid the most to do the hard job. You know just like not every doctor is a surgeon, and not every surgeon gets to do every surgery. If you keep messing up fights that are high profile enough to be on TV, then you shouldn’t be reffing them.
