In 2010 my wife and I took a big road trip out west. After we stopped in Vegas for the night we headed to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. We stopped at that little picnic area off of the interstate at the bottom of the Virgin River Gorge. We were in a convertible, and it was like 100 degrees, so we thought we would cool off in the river. The water was like BATH WATER! It was so hot! 😂
You had calm air in there? How does the rig handle in windy canyons like that? I flew with Leo in Pahrump and he says gyrocopters are great in the winds out west but not always fast.

Sounds like you were at Cedar Pockets. Nice place to hang out except in the summer.
I LOVE y’all’s videos! I’ve been to this area 4 times and can only imagine the feeling of flying low & slow over this! AWESOME!
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying them. This place is indeed awesome!
Never gets old! Beautiful!
I wonder what kolob around camp would look like some day???
Probably a little white. 🤣
May be a little cold brrrrr

There were pockets of wind. But Leo is correct, gyros handle wind with ease. Best type of aircraft to fly in mountainous terrain.
