The ring sound comes I guess from the audio-codec and the audio device, that are not capable to output that frequencies ( < 30 Hz) properly. Try to run a tone generator program on normal windows sound driver and give it a 25 Hz sine wave. You will hear this ringing. You'll need DirectSound or ASIO output to minimize these errors getting a smoother sound. I know its not possible via youtube, but when you have it on CD or whatever....

If I hear anything else its more like amplifier electric interference. It sounds like souls whispering. Like someone would use this in arthouse horror.

The sounds of the planets that you find on youtube are only semi-genuine, due to very heavy musical alterations, but they did actually come from an original source of what NASA had picked up with the Voyager missions.

it reminds me of listening to a Pink Floyd album. as in, there is scratching and popping, like listening to vinyl. and some of the eerie sounds are similar. I think it's odd that there is a constant high pitched ringing that increases my tinnitus.
