A little more info on the La Sportiva Tempesta GTX, definitely a tough and rumble trail running shoe:
The Men's Tempesta GTX Train Running Shoe is La Sportiva's newest addition to their trail-dominating fleet of kicks, with all-weather capabilities that can handle unpredictable alpine conditions. This shoe is similar in construction to La Sportiva's Mutant shoe, with the addition of the Gore-Tex lining, making the Tempesta a more year-round option.
The AirMesh upper breathes well and features a super durable scree guard to protect your feet from rugged terrain, and the Gore-Tex bootie can handle Northwest mud and afternoon downpours in the alpine. The single pull lacing system is quick and easy to draw, and the TPU stabilizer holds your heel in place during variable climbs and descents. The FriXion AT V-Groove soles help with traction to keep you upright on tricky scrambles, and the Impact Brake System makes it quick and easy to scrub speed on steep descents.

Cya tomorrow.
They look pretty serious. Congrats!
The Akasha are one of the best ultra shoes, followed by the mutant for more technical stuff. They are built to last but take at least 50 miles to break the midsole in.
Does running in them not feel to hot? They are for the cooler months of the year.
Which brand are your sunglasses?
Have you ever tried the Bushido 2?
Hope your race is great!! God bless.
hi Angie!
500 miles only?... No wonder my shoes breakdown so fast. I tend to walk 10KM a day dwith my dog. and i usally gotta buy a new pair of shoes every 4-5 months...! Hopefully the warranty will help with this issue. These shoes dose look good tho.
They look heavy, what’s the weight? (Probably measured in grams, ha)
Yes, definitely heavy. I will weigh!
Just purchased these for backpacking.
They will be great!
Where are those made
Italy 🇮🇹
@@SethJamesDeMoor Wrong. Designed in Italy, made in CHINA.
@@karoshi464 most shoes are made in the far east...
How do you like those shoes after a while? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on those guys tonight.
Chad Grenda They are very comfortable, BUT, it took about 100 miles to break them in. Out of the box they are pretty stiff, keep that in mind. Legs on the bottom are great and the upper is very comfortable. Its definitely an aggressive trail shoe, will do well in hills! I hope that helps. Thanks for watching an old video!
@@SethJamesDeMoor yeah buddy. I just actually found your videos and I love them!!
Would you say the salamon s-lab ultra or this one is best for an upcoming 100 miler? Or, what would you recommend? I'm trying out other shoe brands other than altras.
Chad Grenda Salomon is a narrow fit usually, so your foot may not love that feel if you’re not use to it. I think La Sportiva has potential, but again they felt a little stiff and heavy. Hmmmmm.... how do you feel about Hoka? I think Salomon Ultras have potential, but the cushion is definitely not there, Salomon is notorious for not having awesome cushion. I add Spenco cushioning to all my Salomons to take the edge off the pounding. Keep the questions coming. What 100?
@@SethJamesDeMoor Its the lake Martin 100 and then later next year pinhoti. I just bought a pair of hoka one one evo mafates and a pair of the altra lone peak 3.5 and finally salomon sense ride ride. My plantar fasciitis is flaring up, so don't know if it's from switching the shoes but it needed to be done. Since there are so many deals I'm trying to buy as many shoes as possible now to save the costs for later down the road.
Any help would be appreciated!
Chad Grenda Chad, I’ve got PF too right now in my left foot. Gotta go to a party but will reply with more information soon!
I’m a long distance hiker and fun of LaSportiva. Unfortunately Tempesta Woman GTX is not a great pair of shoes. My thoughts on Tempesta Woman GTX: first and foremost they are not waterproof. It’s difficult to wear and fits smaller than other LaSportiva shoes of the same size. Do not buy them!
