Holy crap the level of detail and complexity now with operating trailers and the T series makes Beam just that much more immersive!

As a trucker in the US, I am seriously blown away by how accurate you've managed to get the trailer coupling and 5th wheel mechanics. They're damn near 1:1 to real life. From the way you just back into a trailer to hook to it, to actually having the 5th wheel release handle actually work correctly, it looked EXACTLY like how it works irl.
Seriously, fucking bravo devs! This entire rework is fucking mind blowing!
My ONLY complaints, and they are VERY minor, is that the landing legs cranked up way too quickly compared to how they slow they are irl (not to mention, how much a pain in the ass they can be if even slightly bent lol) But honestly, its not a huge deal at all. I can totally understand you probably sped it up and simplified for gameplay reasons (THANK YOU LMAO)

Ah so cool hearing from a real trucker! :D, Beamng Vehicle lead here, thank you for the feedback as well, the physics programmers spent a lot of time researching all the little details :D, for the legs, yeah it was sped up some for gameplay reasons.

im also missing offroad tires and tire chains, the trucks are useless offroad..., and more engines and transmissions (18 speed would be nice)
Does this mean we'll be able to work from home on those snowy nights instead of being out in that mess 😂
How do you feel about the transmission? Before the update, it was literally a 10 gear H shifter.
@@DankBlank It could definitely use some work for sure. But I was only using an xbox controller so had to run like a sequential instead of a proper H pattern layout, as I didn't feel like getting my sim driving set up out of storage lol
BeamNg drive is literally becoming the most advanced veichle simulator. Glad to be here since day one

@@dashcamcompilationswithcomment I remember those days, back when there was one engine sound for every vehicle as well. Recently used an old mod that use the sound and nostalgia hit me harder than the T Series could.
That's what separates a passion project from a commercial project.
I just can't have enough of this game! Every update brings it closer and closer to reality. Thank you devs for the great time!

Now there are very few devs left who really listen to their community, and do not make their game solely for the sake of money. Beamng devs are one of them. You guys are doing a great job, and with every update to beamng, the game gets exponentially better. Thank you!

This is my kind of update. The detail in it is phenomenal. I drove trucks for almost 20 years and can say that not much impresses me but the work done here certainly does. If Beam was to add long routes and delivery areas, this would thoroughly stomp on all of the existing trucking sims out there.
I so badly wish there could be long roads in this game! I already play this a lot and use the truck. If it could be done someday, it would definitely stomp the competition. American Truck Simulator would not stand a chance at all.

Proud to be here since day one, I can’t believe how every update so much still gets added, and not ONCE have they asked for a paid DLC. I’m so grateful for such amazing devs ❤
They aren't greedy like the rest & should be praised endlessly for it. They're some of the last truly passionate people in gaming.
Although I would be glad to pay for some nice features like well made VR Support (I know that there's already but it does need a few improvements) and other stuff.
You know the update is epic when you get to hear the later parts of the song.
and just like that, with a single update, Beamng became a better trucking sim than actual trucking sims like ATS or ETS2. With this, you can clearly see how many features and details are missing on those games

@@zerowater1645 how? All that Beamng is missing is a map that is as big as ETS2/ATS map. None of those games feature anything like this, you just attach the trailer and go, you can't interact with anything inside or outside the cabin not even with the trailer's air supply. The last big thing that SCS added and that changed the game was trailer ownership and that goes all the way back to 1.32 I believe and that was in 2018
@@joaopinto5850 I mean I don't disagree with you it's just that beamng is a car game not a trucking game beamng is a lot more interactive than I wish ats was! but things do change and the diverse possibilities in the career aspect of ATS is a win for sure. and has really good detailed truck models. I love both games but two are totally different can't really compare one to the other

One thing i realized with BeamNG is that every function on all vehicles are engaged with modelled buttons, switches and leverages.
This means that you could actually play all vehicles in VR.
Step out of the truck and operate the trailer.
Amazing, i have been saving to buy this game and i can't wait to get it!
The BeamNG Devs surely know how to run their project development and certainly care about their software being top notch!
This game could be used for CDL Training. Conceptually of course, but the processes are here. Amazing work devs!

Based on truck realism Beam decimated truck simulators, but gamplay wise they can't compete
@@jonahfastreThat's where the modders are important. There's great maps Tennesee and sorts with huge areas and roads. All they need to do is add specific missions to it and make it work with the new updates.
Don't worry, they ain't going to have licensed brands in vanilla.
Edit: now I wonder if Scania copyrighted the noise of their V8...
I'm really liking these video tutorials. They're very nice to have as this game keeps marching towards perfect detail complexity.

This really is a big one. Lots of new stuff. More gameplay depth than SCS Software managed in 10 years
I love how the updates just drop randomly without any build up. Any other devs would be hyping an update half the size of any beamng update.
I pray that this game never becomes a sellout like Teardown did. The developers don’t do this for money alone, it’s clear that BeamNG is a passion project of sorts for the developers, given the amount of love put into it. It’s come so far since the days of the techdemo, and if you had told little me that the simple techdemo it was at the time would become possibly the best driving simulator on the gaming market, I probably wouldn’t have believed you!
Now a larger map to have the best trucking experience
It makes me so happy to see these massive improvements/updates added so frequently. It’s also great to see how far the game has come in the 9 or so years I’ve been playing

This is so cool! Imagine ETS2's map in Beam for missions/career mode! Would probably be a lot of hard work but it would be so cool!
I played ATS/ETS for many years, +600 hours on Steam, when I discovered BeamNG I simply abandoned ATS/ETS, they are unrealistic, I can't say exactly what it is, but BeamNG gives a great sense of reality when driving (I've driven a few trucks in real life). ATS/ETS has something that bothers me a lot, it's not real at all, I can't say what it is exactly but the physics of the trucks look like automatic sports cars, totally surreal. BeamNG did an incredible job, managing to be better than the SCS simulators, even though it's not a trucker game specifically.

Drove semi's for 17 years and had to give it up because of vertigo back in 2012. The trucking on here is amazing. I was watching another video and the guy backed the fifth wheel under the trailer but hit it on the side of the fifth wheel. It stopped instead of automatically connecting and I was like WTF that is like real life. Guys should just make a Truck driving game, you would crush SCS. Maybe add the hoses and gladhands also. You have the physics to have the hoses bounce around, lol. I was also a Ohio State DOT truck driver instructor and was a road instructor for a truck driving school. I have done everything and done heavy haul for about a week, did not like it. My last job was for FedEx Freight pulling doubles. The big thing I would add to this game is VR support. You guys could do so much with this it is insane.

the fifth wheel connection is so very accurate and more realistic as it is the only missing part of it to became more realistic is the hose's to became more realistic at it was but you'all guys make a fantastic job for this

Now this is amazing. Already getting better than ATS since they don’t have these options. As a trucker myself this is so accurate it’s amazing. Now to get some routes and delivery’s with docks. Need a forklift to unload and all.

Snowrunner expeditions are about to come out. I think it is both funny and sad that people are so mad that it's the same content repackaged and re-sold. Meanwhile, beamng innovates. This game will outlive all of that shit!!

as a truck driver irl, yeah thats pretty much it, though im a bit jealous of the buttons to move the landing gear. trust me, when a trailer is fully loaded and weighs over 45k lbs, trying to move the landing gear up manually is a pain the butt, it is a bit easier if your company was smart and added the ability to inflate your airbags.
now, we'r waiting for wentward remaster it will be so cool ! 👌this remaster is masterpiece
