Honestly I get Dale was committed to the Melvins, but I really do prefer his style over Dave’s! Nirvana even said he would have been completely set if it wasn’t for the him being in Melvins. I really think Dales more complex, and interesting style could have made the band even greater! That or it’s just me still being obsessed with bleach/pre-bleach era Nirvana lol. I just think Dale is one of the greatest punk drummers of all time!
This is amazing. This is such unique song that was played by Dale crover. I never though anyone would be able to cover this song just because the drums are such an expression of one drummer. Nothing structured about the drums at all. But you got it like 99% down which was just...impressive.
I wonder how the drummers before Dave Grohl feel/felt about the band taking off after they left!? Are they still getting royalties from the sales of Bleach and Incesticide. They deserve some cash as they’re great drummers.
I guess the only drummer before Dave Grohl that doesn't get any royalties is Dave Foster because he hasn't drummed in any song in official releases. Aaron Burckhard gets royalties for some songs on "with the lights out" And "sliver best of the box" Box sets, (Mrs. Butterworth, Help Me, I'm hungry, Heartbreaker, Anorexorcist and white lace and strange) Dale Crover is getting Royalties for almost the entire insecticide B side and a lot of songs in the box sets (live recordings, demos and stuff), Chad Channing is getting royalties for almost the entire Bleach album, and many demos in the box sets and Dan Peters who drummed for Nirvana for a brief time because they future of mudhonhey was uncertain is getting royalties from the "sliver" Single
@@rhns9687 Wow that was a comprehensive breakdown. Nicely researched. Thank you. It's nice to know that, apart from Dave Foster, they're getting some financial recognition. Sales won't be what they used to be but I guess they've all done and continue to do nicely out of it. I've listened to this tune hundreds of times. This, Big Long Now, Stain and Downer are my favourites on Incesticide. I prefer the Aneurysm from the Smells Like Teen Spirit single (which has Even In His Youth which is great too). I just love the tension and release stop and go thing going on on this track. The drummer must have at least 4 arms and legs to pull this off! btw I was lucky enough to see Nirvana play Memorial Hall, Kansas City in October 93. How the time flies.
RESPECT! I thought of doing this one on my own but it's so chaotic. It's not a difficult song but so much to remember that doesn't repeat. This had to have taken a lot of repitition to remember. Great job! You're a baby Dale Crover!

Dale’s frantic drumming style really fits this song, if Dave had played instead of dale it probably would’ve sounded way different.

perfect!! the hardest nirvana song on drums probably
Especially when it has two tempos (198 BPM for intro and end, 228 BPM for the hardcore rock part)
Probably the best drum cover of aero zeppelin. Just so smooth and satisfying
Not probably, but exactly. I wasn't able to find any other cover on UA-cam worth watching.
Thanks! But this one still could be way better. If only I had another chance earlier to re-record, totally forgot about this song😁

Great cover, such a difficult song to play!
You are right, this song is insane. Need to know exactly how every part was played... I think it's an improvisation from Dale Cover.
@@stariy7 He played exacly what the song asked in for... Probably it is an improvisation. A big drummer with a great ear: you and him man.
