Lot of people had to move from their homes because of this eruption. For them it is natural disaster, but for Ben it is new „content“. I know that we are all the same and in this age of social media we are extremely obsessed with „content“, but sometimes we should think about if it really makes sense from moral perspective to do something.
How does his content affect the people that have to move from their homes? I am sure he cares for their loss but he is documenting the events and its appreciated by many people. I think you might be a little hyper sensitive about it.
I have a close friend from the town who had to flee his home, we were there together documenting this. It’s an incredibly difficult situation with Grindavík and I appreciate where you are coming from, the future is so unknown though the town is safe for now. A large part of my production work is to document these eruptions and it is just an extra element to be able to share some of the shots here on UA-cam.
