Its so nice to see versions of Sonic actually beating any version of EXE. Usually it's a dark story with them but there are a few moments here and there where it actually has a happy ending. Whether or not Sonic actually beat him this time or just scared him off, either way very cool to see
@@soniamoon9779 the emeralds only seem to scatter when the threat is defeated, meaning sonic could just untransform when he's safe and have enough rings saved up to transform back at any time (also modern is plenty faster and stronger than .exe so he can tangle with him for a bit then collect 50 rings in an instant to turn super if he struggles)
I'm late to the party, but it's crazy yo believe that a Megalovania track for an Undertale AU (Differentopic) came to be one of the most popular songs in FNF fandom! Not that it's a bad thing, far from it! I love seeing everyone's inspiration run wild with this song and it definitely shows here snow! Quality of life, classic style of the original video, and a good ending for Sonic is just everything that the original mod would have immensely loved! Great job once again, loved this song back then, but you definitely reminded me today the reason as to why with this cover and mod!
Love the little details and progression. Sonic going from.his normal run to Figure 8 to Confident Super Sonic before turning to Face Exe. Also the small detail of the inbetween frame of the Sonic returning to his netural pose if for the last note pressed. Which is an amazing detail that isn't used often just because Sonic rarely stops singing.

Imagine a Sonic game where he's having to deal with EXE, or at least a spiritual successor of it. Having to run through levels avoiding him or those he's corrupted. It's literally only at the very end that Sonic finally assembles the Chaos Emeralds and _confronts himself._ Sort of like Generations, but with a tense/serious nature similar to Forces/Frontiers. A brief moment where it seems like all hope is lost, Sonic is down, the Emeralds are _shattered,_ and his friends are in danger. EXE had taken time to torture Sonic's friends, and is finally just going in for the kill. All it takes is that brief moment of gloating about finally proving who the real Sonic is. Super Sonic just blasts through and intercepts EXE. No monologue about friendship or what's right, no time taken to speak, not a word about what EXE just said, and not a thing about how he got the Emeralds back together. He's immediately throwing hands. Maybe in terms of the Emeralds breaking, maybe that could be what starts the game. This creature shows up somehow, perhaps from an alternate timeline where Sonic loses (or a culmination of them), and is immediately on target for the Emeralds, destroying them before anyone can use them. Sonic being Sonic, he tries to figure out a way to fix them. He knows he has done it with the Master Emerald easily before, so the normal ones wouldn't be too different, right? Well, with EXE and various other adaptations on his and his friends' tails, it wouldn't be easy to just stop and fix them. He'd likely be guarding at least a few, and the only reason they'd be able to bring them together is via stuff like hostage situations and/or being "lured in". Sonic knows that EXE is an actual threat, especially from his experiences through this entire "game", so he'd know not to hold back with this one opportunity he has with the Emeralds. EXE starts getting outmatched. Super Sonic clones/afterimages/energy projections just shut down EXE's own clones/lackies, meanwhile any attempt at even touching Super Sonic burns his own body, his negative energy being burned away by Super Sonic's own positive energy. Unlike his base form, where he was barely able to outrun EXE's superior speed, narrowly escaping various tricks and traps, Super Sonic is able to just negate them all. This is finally a moment Sonic has to be himself. To show who the real Sonic is. This completely goes against what EXE had been trying to blind people with. That "Sonic" is nothing but a puppet, and is just as vulnerable or weak as everyone else, which digs into people's minds throughout the game. Just as everyone had lost hope, that Sonic was finally "got" by EXE, they'd succumb to EXE. Until Super Sonic comes in, snapping that dread out of their minds just in time, before they're completely lost to him. No words would even be exchanged, as the fight itself between hero and villain undergoes. Sonic had been just as capable as anyone else. Even with that sneaking dread behind all of them that they're only hanging by a thread, which EXE desperately had been trying to snap the whole story, they realize just in time that none of that is the truth. Being themselves and doing the best they can is enough, and there's no need to dread on what's in the past, or what could have happened, or what could happen in the future. As long as they tried, that's ultimately what will give them purpose. To do is to be. And for EXE, that's his downfall.

Something interesting I noticed is that when sonic goes super his notes/poses when he sings are nearly identical to EXE’s showing them that they are similar, but they are not the same, as sonic never is trying to attack EXE, just escape him. There is another similarity I noticed when either of them are confident in winning they tend to toy around quite a bit before it’s over. Over all I love the idea of the real sonic confronting EXE
Here's a neat thing. All the poses BUT the up pose are very similar. Sonic.Exe stays down low, probably to keep airspeed since he's not ACTUALLY the fastest thing alive. But the real Sonic goes completely up because he doesn't need to worry about slowing down...or standing up for what's right.

My guess of what happens at the end is that .exe knows that while he can catch up to Super Sonic, killing him isn't necessarily as easy, so he lets Sonic go for the time being, but he'll be back for another run. Of course this is just my guess and it might not even matter if it's true or not for all I know lol
While Super Sonic isn't effected by anything in the game despite Drowning As far as i know, all the characters died because they were out of rings, and could be effected by any damage in the game, so it was easy for EXE Meanwhile, Super Sonic is invincible, i think he just gave up because both couldn't be harmed. My theory is that Exe couldn't catch up with Super Sonic, and to mess around, Super Sonic approached by slowing down to beat him, but, Exe left, since there was no point on fighting someone invincible just like him.
My idea is that sonic in his super form started slowing down to give exe false hope before exe remembered that touching super sonic would be a bad idea so he just teleported away
My guess at the end is sonic exe was running out of time and was going to die so he used his full speed and catch up to get sonic with him but was too late and got non exist
If this Sonic is meant to be the real one and not a soul trapped in the game like what most people are thinking, then the Sonic.exe there might be the MystCrimson version.

The confronting yourself ff mix and the confronting yourself final zone have updates or not
The details are perfect for a mod version of this since the bar and notes represents how much sonic is trying to keep him away from himself(sonic.exe) and he then over powers sonic.exe going back and forth exchanging speeds at a high speed wich is around by hm ober 10k mph and going to outerspace by the minute then he beats sonic.exe and keep continuing mocking him and then he gets a knock out and gone boom
