Going to see her in a couple of weeks with my daughters, she showed up on my Facebook feed I was confused too if it was a he/she lol but after hearing more of her music I was blown away!!! You're just different league and it's understandable that some people not interested in her style. I wasn't hooked on this song first,it was Muddy water which got me hooked to her music. But also good to listen to something different from what we used to, who knows, we find another treasure amongst it. ✌
Not sure why many metalheads consider any other kind of music not their thing. I love metal, no bs in saying I'm not cuz I'm a girl lol. But this is very deep and she has a beyond amazing voice, one of my many fav songs. People shouldn't have a closed box when it comes to life or music, etc etc. If this world dealt with only one kind/type of anything, it would be far more boring!
I never heard of LP until just about 3 weeks ago. I heard about 30 seconds of "Lost On You" and I was all in! I watched a boatload of videos and interviews because I like to get an idea of who an artist is and what they're about. LP (Laura Pergolizzi) seems like a cool, down to earth, chill person.. Her androgynous image fits her personality perfectly, because she's all about people being true to themselves and being accepting of people from ALL walks of life, no matter what their deal is. As far as your reaction video and your comments afterward, as an LP fan, I'm happy you didn't lower yourself to the levels I've seen other people do. As a human being, I appreciate your willingness to further explore her music and even though it's not your thing, you stayed pretty respectful. I was a teenager in the late 70's-80's and even back then, I listened to everything from metal, to punk, chick-rock, arena bands, R&B and I even did more than my fair share of tearful screaming over teen idols like Shaun Cassidy and Leif Garrett. Yes, I'm that old! 🤣 At 54 yrs old, I'm still listening to nearly every genre of music and loving that there are so many choices.

Flo in the Mo has much better songs than "Dog Days" IMO.
First, using her voice as an instrument is brilliant. Her range, content and vocal skills are like no one else. That is part of what make her so amazing. Secondly, ditch the friend with the box mentality. He added no constructive content at all. Third, are you in this to reacting to the person or the music or your own personal preferences? Perhaps a list of your top ten would be a better fit for your channel. I promise you, your channel will not grow unless you expand your musical horizons. Best of luck.

Not sure why many metalheads consider any other kind of music not their thing. I love metal, no bs in saying I'm not cuz I'm a girl lol. But this is very deep and she has a beyond amazing voice, one of my many fav songs. People shouldn't have a closed box when it comes to life or music, etc etc. If this world dealt with only one kind/type of anything, it would be far more boring!
I never heard of LP until just about 3 weeks ago. I heard about 30 seconds of "Lost On You" and I was all in! I watched a boatload of videos and interviews because I like to get an idea of who an artist is and what they're about. LP (Laura Pergolizzi) seems like a cool, down to earth, chill person.. Her androgynous image fits her personality perfectly, because she's all about people being true to themselves and being accepting of people from ALL walks of life, no matter what their deal is.
As far as your reaction video and your comments afterward, as an LP fan, I'm happy you didn't lower yourself to the levels I've seen other people do. As a human being, I appreciate your willingness to further explore her music and even though it's not your thing, you stayed pretty respectful.
I was a teenager in the late 70's-80's and even back then, I listened to everything from metal, to punk, chick-rock, arena bands, R&B and I even did more than my fair share of tearful screaming over teen idols like Shaun Cassidy and Leif Garrett. Yes, I'm that old! 🤣 At 54 yrs old, I'm still listening to nearly every genre of music and loving that there are so many choices.

The first time I heard LP was on the Citi Bank commercial. THe song is called Into The Wild. When I saw her performance on one of the late night shows, I wasn't sure if she was a woman either. But I fell in love with her voice.
