I like that they improved the old Gibson headstock design.

Love how even the dark tones come through clean without getting all muddy

I live in the Mitten (Mich) and had the opportunity to tour the Heritage factory 2 years ago. I have to say , it was just amazing to be able to watch the process and see the folks in the shop hand build the instruments! My wife and I were on our way to Chicago to buy an amp, but all we could talk about was our tour of the K Zoo Heritage factory. Hopefully, a custom core 150 gold top in my future.

I have one of these. I also have several Gibsons, old and new. I’ve been a Gibson fan for 40 years and have always loved them. Since getting the Heritage I’ve had to admit that the Heritage is a better guitar than all my Gibsons. That wasn’t an easy thing to do! It plays better, sounds better, feels better and holds tune better. I even have older guys saying things like ‘that’s the sound I remember, where did you get that guitar’! The price was also sensible, not the eye-watering numbers Gibson seem to charge these days. The Heritage seems to be what many people think of when they think Les Paul but never quite get there with a Gibson, especially the newer ones. So, from my experience, if you want a Les Paul that plays, feels and sounds like they used too, is made as well as anything, is actually affordable and has that ‘this is how they were supposed to be’ feel to it, get a Heritage. They really are what you can actually call ‘authentic’……..

Andertons has a LP shootout and they seemed to prefer Gibson coz it was brighter with more sustain?

@@nedludd3641 from personal experience I can say my Gibson rings out more, my Heritage on the other hand has a smoother tone and feel. Gibson rings like a tin bell, Heritage is smooth as butter. Personally I prefer the Heritage, YMMV.

The Gibson Les Paul's and the Heritage 150s are both excellent. Made in USA for me. BTW Heritage used a few different humbuckers, mine are screamers.

The beauty of it is that the crowd only follows Gibson. This makes Heritage used H-150 very reasonable. And having owned Gibson Les Paul's and a Heritage, the Heritage is a superior guitar.

That Fuzz Tone Demo made my hair stand on end. Totally amazing to have such clarity across all strings. My fuzz tones and generally distortions always get so muddy and BLAH sounding. Could be so many things wrong, but well done sir.

Yeah bro you definitely got a superb deal !!! Congratulations on N amazing guitar. I went through my phase of Gibson over heritage. The Gibson is what I wanted my guitar to look like but the heritage played like a dream and stayed in tune straight out the box and inspired me. I had my H535 and 335 for around 6 months and finally let the Gibson go and it was worth the wait both of my heritage’s are Relic like yours and prices have gone up! Heritage definitely deserves more recognition and they are top notch!

Each tone sample where phenomenal! I sure would love me one of these for many reasons. These days we discover many other companies excelling! Many of these build better guitars then Gibson & Fender whom have dominating. Yet ( I included), we snubbed these brands simply because of not being a « Gibson or Fender ». When i purchase a guitar, brand names and esthetics are the last thing I care about. i now focus on how it feels for my fingers, ears and my bank account. Playability, feel and tone will get me to make my decision to buy or not.

I just don't know how these guitars aren't prized for what they are. When Gibson moved from Kalamazoo, some of the old Gibson personnel got together and bought the old factory and its equipment and started Heritage Guitars.

There are definitely quite a lot of “bad words” said about Heritage’s latest ownership if you look for them (they just don’t get the publicity anything Gibson related would do) and in particular the way they managed relations with some of their very long standing employees, many of whom were either let go or resigned at that time (this was around 2016).

Would have to disagree with my first hand experience. My new Gibson Standard 50s is very shottily made. Un-even frets, had to flip/reverse the A string saddle to intonate correctly, gaps on the bindings, poorly cut nut. My Heritage on the other hand was set up dead nuts right outta the box.

Heritage is a great story of how a new business can be born out of the wreckage of poor corporate decision making by utilizing exiting infrastructure and highly skilled craftsmen and craftswomen. I am so happy they were able to this - best of luck Heritage!
