Being another lefty, do you know of a decent Gerber assisted EDC knife that is lefty friendly? Most non assisted I have no trouble finding that are lefty friendly. Right now I'm in the market for an assisted that's lefty approved, preferably a Gerber. Any suggestions?
several of their American made knifes are assisted and lefty friendly. They are good quality, but not cheap like other Gerbers. Kershaw also has some assisted opening bladed that may be what you are looking for.
+Lefty's Guns Thanks for the tip. I had a Kershaw Kuro I got at Walmart for about 20 bucks. I had a 4 stage pocket clip and a flipper to open it. The only thing is after 3 months the spring broke. Now it's no longer assisted, and there wasn't a safety on it, so it sorta "falls" open in my pocket, which is annoying when it pokes me in the leg. I'll keep looking around until I find good blade. Thanks for the tip.
+Lefty's Guns For an update, I got a Gerber Instant in clearance at Walmart about a week ago. It seems to be working fine, nice spring assist and good edge. It has duel thumbstuds, but it doesn't have a reversible pocket clip. I'll just have to deal with that
I've made this mod to my Spyderco Civilian and am pretty disappointed, since successful deployment is unpredictable. The blade only deploys properly about 70% of the time. I've tried small and large zip ties, and I've doubled them up.
Spyderco resilience. It’s in there “value priced” selection. I believe there are three sizes. Resilience (largest), tenacious (medium), and I believe there is/was the persistence (smallest) version. All built with the same materials, just different sizes.
T6 Torx I think. Got a Resilience of all knives for Christmas today. Swapped to top up. Don't remember the Torx size off the top of my head.
Keaton Johnson tip up is the best way to carry. Congrats and thanks for posting.
Zip tie makes it look like sheet.
Honestly, it kinda does. A trade off between looks and functionality.
are you trying to be pretty or functional??

+Aaron Price bummer about the pocket clip. Everything else sounds nice though. good find!
Aaron Price Benchmade 940-2. I'm a lefty and you'll forget about every other knife if you own one haha.

You have a good setup. This is the ghetto work around
Stupid things to do with a six cent piece of plastic and a $200 knife.
Pretty much!
Pretty sure it's a T8 or a T10 that's what my manix2 is
