DDR Zeltbahn Canvas Cloak Shelter - Solo Bushcraft Overnight

  • Didn't use it as a cloak because it never rained, and was too warm. Will do that another time. Awesome piece of canvas. I find the possibilities even more than the single Lavvu poncho.
Been thinking lately. I want to do more practical bushcraft. Not to just make something to make something. So here you go. My try at a more practical stay in the woods with simple gear and minimal tools, finding simple ways to get by on a hike with overnighter, not leaving a any trace.

I appreciate the way you returned the rock to its place. It made everything that came before that moment even more beautiful. This was a very nice, quiet video. No talking, no music, just the actual sounds of each activity. Thanks for an aesthetically pleasing video of a very relaxing time in the woods.

Beautiful video.. I just got back from a 7 day solo canoe trip in Algonquin Park canada..the peace and quiet in nature is the only therapy we need.. primitive skills and simple living kick in and it brought me back to a grounded state of mind..it’s hard adjusting to life in the city after that. Your videos helped encouraged me to take this trip and it was life changing for me .. thanks swedewoods.👍⛺️🔥🚣🏼‍♂️

While still photography is my specialty, I very much enjoy the drone footage of your country's lovely wilderness. Also, I whole-heartedly agree with leaving one's campsites as little disturbed as possible. Here in the US, all too many hikers leave their messes behind, and simply toss their trash wherever is convenient, marring the landscape for both wildlife and other people.

Hebrew outdoors :- You are correct!
So many people find a beautiful camp site by a stream, and proceed to build a fire on the rock shore. Not considering that the fire scar will last many years, with future campers left to see the blackened rocks for generations.

Mate, I must say...I live in Sweden (middle), and I am not impressed by the skills or knowledge of the local outdoorsmen (all older gentlemen), regardless of their opinions of themselves and the international reputation of Swedes in general...that said, I know Jedi level skills when I see them and you my friend have them. It is very nice to know that the craft still exists in your country.
Huge respect to you for sharing the journey with us mortals and I look forward to many more class videos in the future.
