Amy try turning your pancakes with a wooden chopstick, it works great ♥️🙏🏻🇨🇦 I would definitely cook the cranberry relish for about 10 minutes so the sugar dissolves and fruit softens slightly, I think you will enjoy the texture better, try just cooking a small portion of it to compare the differents
@@amymaryon I hate giving suggestions because I don’t want to sound bossy or like a know it all but I always suggest things that I have experienced and learned from someone else, so please don’t take offence ♥️🙏🏻🇨🇦
We always had silver dollar pancakes as a kid. They were cooked in butter and they had crispy edges. We never had turkey as as kids. My mom made potato soup. It was so thick and creamy. It had little chunks of potatoes which we loved. We would have it with oyster crackers or homemade, tiny biscuits. Mom would make fudge for dessert. It was so fabulous. The weather was very cold at Thanksgiving. Plus there was alot of kids. We were not a traditional family, but it worked and we were stuffed and happy on Thanksgiving. 😊
Amy, we had such a huge turkey that we had a lot of leftover Turkey so I was able to make 2 turkey pot pies and freeze them for later when I need a meal and don’t want to cook. Absolutely loved that!!
My r😮ecipe for cranberry relish is from an old community cookbook. It adds a small box of cherry jello to the mix. It improves the red color and adds a subtle taste. I have also subbed other red flavors in a pinch. I make a big batch in the fall anb freeze it in small containers for use the rest of the year.
Looks like your family will have delicious food to eat for the Thanksgiving meal. We do a very traditional meal. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls, corn, squash and my moms cabbage salad. All delicious!! Have a wonderful day, see you tomorrow!! ❤😎🙏
@amymaryon her sauce recipe is: 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup sugar 1 Tblsp vinegar Salt and pepper My mom always finely shreds her cabbage but I just buy the pre-shredded at Walmart because we wouldn't use a whole head before it goes bad. I think it's the best cabbage salad I have ever eaten but I grew up on it too. I hope you try it sometime!🙂
Hi Amy. You can buy the baking beans for pie crusts. Make your pastry the cover with parchment the spread the beans over it. You can reuse them loads. Great channel. Love seeing maddie😮cooking with you. She hilarious. Xx
My mother in law started steaming fresh green beans before she assembles and baked the green beans casserole instead of using canned. She does not add any onions inside of it either. People rave about it. So simple but good
We are not the biggest fans of turkey either, but we do enjoy the injectable marinade by Tony Chacheres. We find it at Walmart. Plus, we roast the turkey with the breast side down. Not sure if your family is a fan of cheesecake, but individualized portions of cherry cheesecakes (or any flavor you choose) in muffin tins are nice as well. I watched another channel where the woman shreds the cheese and just uses a piece of wax paper on the counter to gather up the shredded cheese.
Good morning Amy!! I saw a recipe this week that sounded like something good for your busy bunch...I'm gonna try it too. McGriddle muffins. Pancake mix (according to box instructions) syrup, ground breakfast sausage, shredded cheese. Bake in muffin tin. I bet they would freeze well too.
Love your relish. The cheese is the bomb. Ms. Hoover. Lol I remember all the faults you had on eggs. I love my streamer. I've gone through 3 of them. Coffee and a whole lot of JESUS.
When you are ready to do something at your door (I understand things take time in a new home!), I highly recommend a retractable screen! We put them on our 90-degree sliders last year and love them! They were well worth the wait, even considering one for our front door!
Hi Amy! Next time you need to cool pasta, put some ice in it. It melts. I stir mine with ice in it periodically and just pick out any pieces that don't completely melt. ❤from Texas 🇨🇱
I bet cranberry muffins would be delicious! I've eaten them but haven't made any. I have made homemade cranberry juice. I canned mine in mason jars. Delicious!!
I use whole canned cooked cranberries for my cranberry salad. Hi Maddie, the pies looked delicious. Maxine the guard dog. 😊 watching for lizard treats. Have a good day and enjoy your movie night. We started Christmas movies a couple weeks ago. 🎄⛄🎄
Amy, save the turkey carcass, for now, or, put the whole thing in a stock pot to make a turkey 🦃 noodle soup, put rivals in it, what you guys don't finish, freeze in containers have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Here's a tip Amy: The next time you have to shred those blocks of cheese, try to fit your bags right over the chute where the shredded cheese comes out and it will go directly into the bag vs the pan and then it will save you from stuffing the bag yourself and hopefully that will help you eliminate a step. 🧀
@@amymaryon Yes, I hope that helps. As I was watching you it kind of came to me. Oh by the way, I meant to leave a comment when you were shopping and asking if there was a difference using regular milk and evaporated milk when making a pumpkin pie I always just use regular 1% or 2% Lactose Free milk. Yup, it doesn't even have to be regular milk. You don't really need to buy evaporated milk if you don't want to. So if you were about to make a pie but didn't have any, it's okay to use regular milk. Evaporated milk just means that about 1/2 of the water content that's normally in milk is removed just in case anyone is reading this but didn't know. Evaporated Milk is great when making Mac N' Cheese. One more thing Amy, I also LOVE using Imperial Margarine to make Butter Tarts. Yes, you heard me, Butter Tarts. LOL! I prefer using Imperial Margarine for baking in general and it HAS TO BE the Imperial brand for me. I even did a Butter Tart taste test with my husband because he didn't believe me when I said the Butter Tarts made with Imperial Margarine tasted better. He said they were both VERY good but he picked the Imperial Margarine Butter Tart as the winner! LOL! Don't get me wrong they both tasted really, really good BUT the Imperial Margarine was definitely the winner.
Good morning. That food all looked great, especially the desserts. It was good to see Maddie. Looking forward to seeing how your relish turned out. Does the cheese shredder guve an option for different sizes of shred. It was eye opening when looking at preshredded cheese, the number of brands and types that have high fructose corn syrup. My daughter has an allergy so I label read everything and shred my own cheese manually with grater. Have a wonderful Wednesday and I will see ya tomorrow
Amy try the ocean spray cranberry relish. Just google ocean spray cranberry relish, it used to be on the bag. My family has made this for many years my grandma etc. Very good.
Good morning Amy and family, where did you get the mini pancake maker from would like to get one for my daughter and her family, have a BLESS and safe day 😊
Hi Amy I know you don't care that much for turkey.so did you know that I learned that turkey has more cholesterol than ground beef.Hope that makes you feel better!! Lyatt Sandee from Ohio.💜💜🙏🌷🌷🪻🪻🤟🥴🩵🩵
Why don't you make a cranberry shortbread dessert or the delicious cranberry jalapeno dip or cranberry apple crisp instead of wasting them on potpourri?
Can’t stand turkey. Always had it at Christmas growing up and co tinier the tradition until a few years ago when I admitted to my husband and children that I can’t stand it and don’t want to cook them anymore. Turns out no one is particular keen on it. Two years ago, had beef. Last year made two roast chicken. This year roast chicken and goose. I’m glad I won’t be buying them anymore!
You may enjoy cranberry, jalapeño cream, cheese dip! I tried it and it was a huge hit! Even with people who do not normally care for cranberry anything! I will be making it at Christmas now as well!
I feel your kindness speaking to others. It’s beautiful!

Maddie - we need another cooking show of you!!! Make us something that you LOVE!!!
Hey Amy, from NC ❤! We aren't fans of turkey for Thanksgiving so I always cook a ham! Cant go wrong with the Stove Top stuffing out of the box 😅

Sounds very traditional what is her cabbage salad ?
@amymaryon her sauce recipe is: 1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tblsp vinegar
Salt and pepper

@samanthazehr9965 kind of like a coleslaw..sounds like what my mom would make but she used miracle whip
@amymaryon yes, exactly. Where I am, in this area, we call it cabbage salad.
Hi Amy. You can buy the baking beans for pie crusts. Make your pastry the cover with parchment the spread the beans over it. You can reuse them loads. Great channel. Love seeing maddie😮cooking with you. She hilarious. Xx
I only make it once a year....so i completely forget about it. But glad to know this. Thank you

I’m an old person and I love the idea of those mini pancakes ! Good job mom 👍🏻
Thank you
I’ve had that egg cooker for a long time. Great investment, and it does a lot of other things
Great to see your daughter with you on the kitchen 🎉🎉🎉wonderful recipes 😊
Mini pancake maker is something cute but who wants to store all those appliances? That one is big.
It depends upon your room...my kids tire of waffles and regular pancakes so we rotate and switch things up
Love your relish. The cheese is the bomb. Ms. Hoover. Lol I remember all the faults you had on eggs. I love my streamer. I've gone through 3 of them. Coffee and a whole lot of JESUS.
Lots of nice ideas Amy!
Hey Amy love your dress forgot where you bought it.
If you look on the turkey wrapper most turkeys are already brined. It’s very hard to find one that has not been brined.
Interesting...well I was hoping to get rid of the game taste
I also heard that from Becky from Acre Homestead.
Maddie's make up is lovely love that she likes cooking with you .

You can make a quick bread with cranberries. Orange cranberry bread.

Amy, you need to cook your cranberries to dissolve the sugar. They will be so bitter.
Amy ashred All My cheese from Sam's all at the same time like you're doing right now and I put mine in the freezer and have no problems with it

whats the name of the food processor for the cheese, please.
Like u I do not like or eat turkey. The wild taste is why I don't eat venison.
Why don't you make a cranberry shortbread dessert or the delicious cranberry jalapeno dip or cranberry apple crisp instead of wasting them on potpourri?
Because no one else would eat it in my home

@vintagegal4919 they don't like the relish lol
@@amymaryon awe, I'm sorry. It was worth the try!
I don’t like turkey either and it’s the smell of it that makes me sick. I never heard anyone say what it was until you called it gaminess.
I haven't either until I googled it ..

My mom would make it and I didn't mind it....I will do that with some leftovers
Why.don't you get a screen.door off your kitchen..then the lizards.would stay oit. ❤.
There are many things I would love to improve in the home but they require construction work. So i have to wait until that can happen.
You can fill those little pancakes too. It’s a little fussy but so good. Nutella or jam. Powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar in a paper bag is fun too.
