I know the original Bubblegum Crisis didn't get the best dub on Earth, but there's an element of nostalgia in it for me. The English song covers are honestly really good though.
@@SaturnMoon Not even remotely or objectively true. The acting in BGC's English version was absolutely atrocious, and flat-out embarrassing in most cases. They completely trashed my favorite episode ("Moonlight Rambler"). I can stomach Priss' voice at some times, Largo has some potential,... but I have to mute almost every time Sylvie speaks, and it breaks my heart SO badly. I had almost begged the ADV folks to use the Tokyo 2040 cast to re-dub the original Crisis and Crash (back when ADV was still a thing),... and they even wanted to, but couldn't secure the legal rights to do so. ... *sigh* the same studio drama bullshit that caused the original Bubblegum Crisis to be cut short subsequently made new licensing rights impossible to obtain.
Well, for this one, I used the original English source material. For my other enhanced mixes, I used the English tracks, from the original source, and the original Japanese soundtrack I own, to make a English/Japanese combination.
I always see at the end of each episode the note "English soundtrack released by Genom Records". The English soundtrack is out there somewhere. Is that where you got this one MythKiller77? Just wondering as I have been watching off & on for years. In any case, this was beautifully done! Thanks!
late as hell on this. I contacted the company years ago. the plans to release the English soundtrack was scraped and they only kept what they used in the anime 😭

I swear I had them at one point. I was just sorting through my music recently...and I couldn't find it. But I KNOW it's out there SOMEWHERE. Otherwise I've got all of the music from the show and it's some of my favorite music of all time.

I actually rode along an empty dark highway in a Japanese right-steering car at 160 km/h (as a passenger) with BGC 2032 vocal selection playing full blast, and no other cars for tens of kilometers around. THAT WAS WHEN IT WORKED.
Team Rocket HQ Wasn't your fault. It was cut like that in the dub by poor editing on Animeigos part so this song is forever butchered until the originals turn up, which at this point is probably never. Any vinyl or CD from that era is likely unreadable, maybe if it's on DAT tape and in a box in some temperature controlled apartment closet somewhere. lol The Replicants deserve better eh. Consider me Rocked for sure.
