    This is part 2 of my procedural nodes videos. If you're feeling confident you can try starting here, but if you want to start from part 1 you can find it here.
    Part 1 - • Procedural Nodes (part...
    In part 1 we created some basic shapes on a plane using nodes, now we're going to expand on that a little and try putting those shapes on a cube.

    2. Please Leave any links that are explain so deeply About that concepts(about maths,3d,colors) or make as your own video!.
    Thank you!

      Hey thanks very much for the feedback, will definitely do that for future videos.
      If there are any concepts you want me to explain more let me know. So far I have tried to avoid making videos about topics that are already pretty well covered on youtube but if you have any suggestions I am certainly open to them.
      Cheers!

    One of the interesting things you can do with this is view it as volumetric rather than surface, then you can see what you're mathematically doing on the inside of the cube too.

    Hi Sam, i want to ask, at 06:03 when you making the diamond shapes on all sides of the cubes, why do you prefer mix rgb set to multiply instead of math nodes set to multiply? Thanks

    • @snow_mamba
      @snow_mamba  3 роки тому +1

      Hi there, it would be better in this instance to use a math node set to multiply, however because this was only the 2nd tutorial I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. For that reason I just used the mix rgb for pretty well every mix at the beginning even if it is a little overkill.

    Howdy Sam, great job with the tutorials I am watching all of them ! I was thinking, how could I make a procedural dice using this nodes ? The hardest part is not multiplying the circles to make different numbers but to separate each face to make it unique, since there are only 3 paths (xz , yz and xy) How could I go about it ? Anyway thanks for the great stuff ! I am enjoying a lot your videos

    • @pranavkondapalli9306
      @pranavkondapalli9306 3 роки тому +1

      well, something like
      object coordinate > vector math(abs) > vector math(add) > vector math(abs)
      that gives you different points and if you add a vector math(length) > math(>), you get 4 circles.
      You can do the same process for 3 ( just make a triangle) 2 can also be done with what i said above, but i can't think off the top of my head how you'd acheive 5 and 6

    • @fer10marco
      @fer10marco 3 роки тому

      @@pranavkondapalli9306 Thanks Pranav !! That should help a lot ! But what about making each face unique ? Do you have any ideia ? Cause there are only 3 paths (XY, XZ, YZ), so each has two faces, and they would have the same number of circles... I would need to make them unique ! (6 faces, each with its own nodes) !

    • @snow_mamba
      @snow_mamba  3 роки тому +1

      @@fer10marco In the video I do demonstrate how to use the sepxyz and the less than to create a black and white mask to separate two opposite faces. That should work, I may take a crack at that as it sounds kinda fun so I'll let you know if I post the nodes on my discord or something
