I love her. I haven't completed the game, so please, no one spoil anything, but I wonder if Hellen is a complex character. At 1:33, she seems to show concern for Mario and Peach, even though she was fully instrumental and alongside King Boo in locking them up. We know King Boo is thoroughly evil, but maybe Hellen is not? Maybe there are limits to how far she'll go? Or maybe I interpreted this part of the cutscene wrong.
She wasn’t showing concern for them. She says later that she was going to get King Boo’s trust back by defeating Luigi. King Boo never had to say anything for us to know what he meant when he took Mario and Peach’s paintings away, he just doesn’t trust her anymore, not to get the job done. He had trusted her to keep the paintings safe, but he also trusted her to capture Luigi, which she wasn’t able to do. So naturally, King Boo wouldn’t trust her anymore. Him taking the paintings away was his way of signifying that. The fact that he didn’t trust her to either guard the paintings or use them correctly.
Hellen IS an antagonist but she's maybe not as cruel and evil as King Boo, she explains that she needs more times to capture Luigi but King Boo just like "f*ck it, i stealing from u since you dont know how to get a job done" and stole the paintings to do stuff that i not sure of, so NO she isn't an good person but she has levels on how evil she goes. For example: she can be tasked to simply lock Luigi's friends up but if she was told to,for example, MURDER them she would reject, to make it clear: Hellen IS evil but not that evil.

I actually feel bad for Hellen. She's literally out here simping over someone who has no respect for her, personally I would have loved to see her redeem herself and team up with Luigi and his friends. I feel like she has the potential she just chooses not to use it. Plus she's blinded by her own vanity.
