I think, we all objectively deserve S tier here, like we always have stood together. We Estonians are language-wise and culturally more connected with Finns, though historically and also I'd say emotionally I feel such a strong bond with our Baltic sisters. I'm a British person who adores Estonia! Such a wonderful country. I go to visit there whenever I can and was on holiday there again just a few weeks ago. Estonia is magnificent and Tallinn is one of the world's most beautiful capital cities. I wish I was able to live there. I do really like Latvia and Lithuania too and have been to both. I was in Latvia just last month too in its lovely capital Riga. I want to explore more of these countries. I'd also like to visit Georgia and Armenia, they look beautiful and fascinating. I had planned to visit Ukraine in 2020 but of course Covid happened so plans were cancelled and obviously now Ukraine is an impossibility, for obvious reasons. I think Estonia will always be number 1 in my heart though. :)

Fun fact: Estonias and Latvias GDPs were a bit higher than Finlands before the Soviet occupation 1945. So you can only imagine where the baltic countries would be, if they would have kept their independence for that 50 year long occupation period. Finland knows :)
What do you expect from communism? My native Czechia was one of the richest countries up until 1948, then the red pigs came to power and 40 years later we were a poor backwards authoritarian regime, all of us would be so much better off, if only the Karensky government survived or Kolchak won in Russia. I remember I was driving through all the Baltic countries just after the Soviet Union collapse. I took the ferry from Stockholm to Tallin. The year was 1991. I was impressed by all the Baltic countries, and they all gave me a nice welcome as one of the first Western tourists. Along the road people gave me the V-sign for victory, they were so happy to see a foreign tourist. A few years later they had all joined the European Union and prospered as nations. This is what we call real democracy. Thank you for listening.
I think one of the least awful things about this war is that I finally feel more connected to eastern Europe than ever before. I'm western European, and I think I can speak for many of us when I say that growing up, it was easy to place all western European countries on a map, but as soon as we got to eastern Europe it became near impossible. We all knew where Poland was and then after that, it became like pinning the tail on the donkey for the rest. This crisis has put so many of the eastern European countries on the map for me. It's no longer this big mass of land that we just refer to as eastern Europe. There are countries there and we can point them out on a map now. I feel like it speaks volumes to the effect of the cold war that the European identity has been this divided for so long. Not out of malice, mind you. I have never thought ill of any eastern European country, but I have always felt that they were closed off and unaccessable by an invisible wall that I just didn't understand. It felt like there was this unspoken rule of "we don't mention them, they don't mention us". So if anything, I feel like I'm finally able to connect with my eastern European brothers and sisters for real now. My biggest wish is that we can be properly united as one Europe and that east and west will one day be a thing of the past. It will not happen over night, but I still wish for it.
This is lovely to read. ❤️ What a great take. I lived and travelled in Russia many moons ago, speak the language reasonably well and have always wanted to visit more Slavic countries and get to some Balkan countries too, learn more languages etc. I always noticed, when talking to fellow Westerners, that my interest surprised them and that they felt bad about not knowing much. I am now newly passionate about visiting that whole part of the world more now that I am thinking about it every day as I watch the Russian exodus and news about the war. I do feel that closeness and curiosity again like I used to, and I see lots of Western peeps feeling the same. It warms my heart. Sorry to ramble. Your comment inspired me!
@@kelly-annmaddox ramble all you want, friend! It is people like you we need more of! I'm not much of a traveller myself, but I do feel like the internet is a great way to get a peak into these cultures that used to be hidden in plain sight. I knew about NFKRZ for many years before all of this and to me he just used to be one of the many funny commentary youtubers, but returning to his channel after Ukraine reintroduced me to his content and to the channel he has evolved into since. And by extention, it connected me to so many other eastern European channels I had never heard of before. It was a bit of a trip to suddenly finding myself researching about all these different countries and cultures, learning more about Russian history. I grew up with soviet stop motion and animated movies as a kid and the Humpedback Horse has always been one of favourite fairytales. I took an interest in the history of the Romanov dynasty at one point and researched it a lot, but it was always with this weird distance to all the painful history that came later. I always ignored the communist part of their history and how it affected not only Russians but all the countries that shared borders with them. But after Ukraine it is like being woken up to a reality that is both scary but also beautiful in a way. I will probably never travel like you or learn the language like you, but I feel like my eyes have been opened like yours, just in a bit of a different way. It's like I finally am able to see my neighbors and feel their presence and I want to hold on to that
I don't blame you because the west is where all the attention is going, even from the east. But the east and west will always be separate. I don't wish this to be the case but I am the exception, not the rule. You will never get to erase cultural idiosyncrasies even from Romania to Hungary, much less the entire west with the entire east.

"The thing about Estonia is that they have like three people and two goats." Yes, you are correct. I'm an Estonian, so I am one of the three people. Hello! 😃👋
The crazy thing about Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is that even though they're poor , their cities still look super rich and clean and impressive somehow , especially when you compare them to other poor countries around the world .
Roman mentioned he didn't understand why those stan ex soviet union countries are so poor, but it's obvious and not even the fault of the people. When you're almost entirely landlocked it's a legit automatic hit to GDP, tourism and pretty much everything one could think of. Even Russia is semi-landlocked for most of the year by freaking ice and it's legit been a hit to their gdp and force projection since time immemorial. There is a reasons why people worldwide have flocked to the coasts for thousands of years and it ain't just the fishes!
Actually most poor countries have nice capitals, this is not at all uncommon, look at Luanda for example, or most African capitals for that matter, the downtowns of those capitals look impressive, but it's usually a façade.
@@evzenvarga9707 Ture ! In a lot of poor/poorly managed countries only the capital is nice , Luanda though is on a whole different level 😂 where downtown is supeer nice but as soon as you step outside it literally turns into slums ,in my country Iraq while not as extreme as Angola the majority of the country including the capital aren't nice or well taken care of and pretty run down , but In Tajikistan and Uzbekistan it seems like their governments are really good at making even the cities outside the capital look nice and clean and respectable , you can explore some uzbek cities in Yandex street view or just watch UA-cam videos to see what i mean .
I think the other 2 people from Estonia already commented here, so my approval technically wasn't needed because we are a democratic country, but I'm still going to approve it to emphasize our position and unity. Thanks for appropriately putting us in the S tier bucket!
HARD! 🇺🇦 Glad to see you having fun again instead of having to discuss everything that's happening in Russia recently. P.S. Having watched the video, I feel like this list is pretty valid and fair. Ukraine has great potential to rise to A tier and beyond after we win this fucking war. Still, B tier is fair at the current level. Once we finish getting rid of corruption (and we're finally making strides in that regard rn) and more importantly after we become a peaceful prospering country again, shit would get crazy. With all of the foreign investment I feel like we'll be one of the best countries in Eastern Europe in the span of like 5-10 years or even sooner. But first we'll need to deal with the issue of authoriatarianism still being present in Europe so that we can all just coexist peacefully.
I just worry about Ukraine's demographics - already the birthrate is negative and with young men dying in the war, it might make the future a lot more difficult as it's hard to start developing when there are more elderly people to support than young people. After you win the war you guys need to get frisky to get that population up
5-10 is impossible, especially with a kleptocracy like Ukraine, apart from Moldova, Ukraine is the worst in Europe by quite a margin, and the current government had pretty authoritarian tendecies.
@@evzenvarga9707 1 - we're working on the corruption thing, it's our biggest problem right now, indeed. 2 - Ukraine has already been growing pretty well since 2014 as corruption decreased after Yanukovych fled the country, we're already much better than Moldova. The official statistics don't show the full picture due to point #1. Our economy is much bigger if you include the "shadow" part of it. Once we make all of our economy transparent and taxable - our GPD will rise pretty quickly. 3 - all "authoritatian" tendencies we had were all targeting literal russian agents and their assets, which literally worked to dismantle and subvert our territorial integrity and independence. Those were traitors who wanted Ukraine to be russia's puppet. When it comes to actual opposition (like Poroshenko's block) our government is actually pretty leniant with them and released Poroshenko under public pressure despite some valid concerns of his corrupt schemes. Overall, our country has grown even less authoriatarian and more tolerant to all people, including russians until we were pressured to fight them back, yet again. People like Medvedchuk and his assets were an outlier in an otherwise liberal and democratic system. putin literally exchanged the Mariupol defenders for him because he's an obvious russian spy who was really close to putin and was meant to lead the russian-puppet Ukraine (the other option was Muraev, another russian agent). Also, do note that I never liked Zelensky before the Feb. 24th and never voted for him. He was criticized heavily and would've been voted out alongside his party if putin didn't invade us again this year.
@@Randomdive Yeah, that's true. but I feel like a lot of people from other post-soviet countries will want to move here after we win. Plus joining the EU can help as well, it will make it more prestigious to move here. We are likely to become way more multicultural in the coming decades because of that though, still Ukrainian language and traditions will be at a core of it all.

It's like I finally am able to see my neighbors and feel their presence and I want to hold on to that
this says more about your education and not the war
I don't blame you because the west is where all the attention is going, even from the east. But the east and west will always be separate. I don't wish this to be the case but I am the exception, not the rule. You will never get to erase cultural idiosyncrasies even from Romania to Hungary, much less the entire west with the entire east.

The crazy thing about Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is that even though they're poor , their cities still look super rich and clean and impressive somehow , especially when you compare them to other poor countries around the world .
Well now you know where all the money goes that should have been invested in all of the country.
@@PendulumCancel They were also poorer to start with, have bad geographies and are very authoritarian, there's a lot of factors to their poverty.
HARD! 🇺🇦
Glad to see you having fun again instead of having to discuss everything that's happening in Russia recently.
@@evzenvarga9707
1 - we're working on the corruption thing, it's our biggest problem right now, indeed.
@@Valdis044 good luck to you my man. I am tired seeing everywhere on my social media people cheering for Russia and downplaying Ukrainian gains as “useless and prolonging of suffering”, I am tired of seeing tons of news outlet ( which were already Russian leaning before btw) naturally turned into an amplifier spreading Russian propaganda ( a lot of us even believe that there are still American bio labs in Ukraine lol) and I am tired of our government either endorsed it ( based on previous interview with a high ranking officer of our army) or tiptoeing around Russia, double speaking all the time, despite this is the same tragedy we faced a lot of times and we pride ourselves to be a country for “peace”, “anti-imperialism” and yet now when there is a real imperialistic war going on, the government just make blank statements which just means like “Vietnam respect the territorial integrity of all nations”

we may not be the richest but moldova is miles ahead of every other post-soviet country (besides the baltics) in terms of the democratic functioning of government and mentality in general. people look towards the west and are a lot more open minded than other ppl from post soviet states. Also, e ven though only the bad stuff gets pubicised, Chisinau is actually a really fun city if you know where to go
Nowadays Moldova is a little thriving... I've seen great vlogs. More open minded?! No, Moldova is the most homophobic country in Europe
Record Gattsu's giggle and send it into space, it must be preserved!!!!
All Baltic States are S tier... NFKRZ and Gattsu are just coping😂😂😂😂 (ly dudes)
It's nice seeing you laugh and have a good time after a few serious videos
I was in Chisinau this month and found it quite a pleasant city to be in. It's not rich but it's very green, a lot of the sidewalks and benches have been renovated, it has a good trolleybus network, plus you can get great wine and pastries absolutely everywhere. Really think bald and bankrupt's video did it a bit of a disservice.
An Irish vlogger did a *response video* to that Bald&Bankrupt piece, believe it or not: ua-cam.com/video/MuqOUhC1g34/v-deo.html
We need to keep it a secret, Russians don’t need to know this or they’ll come and liberate us 😃
I’m actually happy that Russians think we’re shit because otherwise they’d be invading us as well.
Moldova is actually an amazing country with democracy, true freedom of speech, safe streets, amazing wine and awesome people 😊
We also don’t need any visas to go to the EU whenever we want and we don’t have to run from our country hiding from a crazy dictatorship. So yeah, sure we suck 😃😃
Bald did the same number on Armenia. Probably paid to do so.
I actually think Bald did them a favour and it actually kicked the local government into gear and they fixed the underpass and pavement. His video made it on Moldovan news and it was embarrassing for the government.
@@captainbadger1013 not for governement but for municipality
As an Estonian, i can confirm - we have 3 people and 2 goats. You can see in the comments the two guys, who have the goats, i'm the one without a goat.
Been to Estonia, saw 3 people but I guess the goats were kept outside the city😑
As a Latvian i think Lithuania is ez A tier.
Paldies brāl! ✌️😌
🇱🇹❤️🇱🇻
Baltic bros supporting each other...nice.
Baltic brothers 🇨🇿❤️
@@davidfans5852 oh yeah forgot we have new member in Baltics club since annexation of Kralovec.
have you considered becoming a comedian?

As the 5th estonian, i think all baltic states are S tier. The gdp differences are not that big and everything else is also similar enough.
Very chill to watch this on a Saturday afternoon. Sorry about what you going through though. Hope thing get better for you and that area of the world as well.
Aw man Bald and Bankrupt sure made us a reputation with a few of the worst spots he crossed in Moldova that he must've included in his video. Our capital looks much nicer than what Bald showed. :(
That’s what I’m saying, that video was made like 7 years ago (I think)
As a Lithuanian I salute Eesti
As a estonian i am obligated to watch this video as it mentions it
But don't watch too much you have some GDP to grow
@@TheFirstGroover I KNOW you didnt mean per capita (since they didnt say it here but out of all ex soviet states estonia has the highest gdp per capita)
@@TheFirstGroover we need to grow to 2 million population
As an estonian I think all three of us deserve a medal or something.

Teacher: Kids, who started great slav war?
Kids: some random Russian UA-camr.
Teacher: Why?
Kids: Estonia S tier ma'am.
None are Slavic though. Estonians are Finno-Ugric, Latvians and Lithuanians are Baltic.
Ethnicity of goats is classified. I don't want to finish the joke, I have nothing against slavs, other than you-know ;)
There are only 3 Slavic nations among the 15 rated ones. ;)
@@manometras I see there are only two slavic nations mentioned - Belarussians and Ukrainians. Where did you see third one?
Google: Ukraine, what is your GDP per capita?
Ukraine: Its illegal for you to ask me that
As a Latvian, Im proud we have been mentioned, Potato Power!
As a norwegian that visited Latvia in summer, i can confirm it is quite beautiful in Latvia
agreed, theyre finally fixing the infastructure in zemgale and kurzeme
love u hommies, pal from LT
POTATO POWERRR
your chemistry with Gattsu is so sweet man! Feels like the times I hung up with my middle school friends and watched ancient yt poops together
Gigi seems like a cool friend, glad you guys met up.
It's a shame that some countries have the potential to be better, much better, but their governments don't apply themselves.
This is how non-democratic government works. They do not represent the people.
Im from Bulgaria and that is one procent true. The corruption here is just unreal. The other big problem is that that people who are with power majority of them dont know what the heck are doing.they are just not competent to do the jobs that they are currently on.Everybody with some soft and power can become big even if they are not for that job and that is becuase of the corruption.everythink goes hand to hand and i cant see how this can change in the near fature.
yeah most of the Western countries are going to hell now. times are changing fast.
As a German this has given me a lot of inspiration for holiday destinations. Like it's actually insane that most of us just f off to Italy or Spain whenever we get the chance when there's so many other beautiful countries around the corner.
Onya Roman love your channel both the travels and also keeping us updated all over the world. Cheers from Oz mate, chins up and keep doing what you do!
Roman: "I am not going to search up GDP:s."
Also Roman: 7:31
yeah but Russia for instance has 4 time more GDP (for 1 citizen) than Ukraine or Georgia so.... thats not objectively
@@Kirill-ub5ht , but many clever Russians suddenly had to flee Russia and live in the neighboring countries wich are less rich.
@@manometras yep but it doesnt except my statement
As is Latvian Tradition we will now have a giant party because someone on the internet mentioned us
* sad east-german noises *
seriously though, half of our part of the country looks like some areas around Chelyabinsk

Gigi deadass thought that, that food would convince Roman to change his mind and put Georgia in S tier lol.
I like the fact Roman and the Georgian lad are high in this video. Seems like they blazed up about an hour before hitting record 😂
As a lithuanian, I feel like my country is as equally chill and peaceful as the other baltic countries, also it's one of the hardest languages. We have one of the best internets in the world, and obviously all people drink, we have russian influence, but not just because of that XD, can't really say we drink the most xd sure we have one of the highest % suicidals but I don't think that speaks for the majority, but whatever you say brotha, Lietuva tevynė mūsų!! :DD
Do a whole EU tier list!! Its so fun to watch you two guys doing these lists!
Yes!!!
This will start a war :D
Hello I met only one Moldovan with their Embassy Visa Office at a social occassion on Q Street when I lived in District of Columbia. He rescued a woman from his home country who was lost without her son. My friend was a famous author from Budapest I was impressed with the extreme lengths the compassionate Moldovans went to assist their citizen in unfortunate circumstances. The woman was very old she spoke multiple languages other than English and wrote poetry. I like these people they were without artifice Bump it up on the scale of humanity
I love Estonia man. They earned that shit
Hell yeah! I loved the ranking slavic countries tier list, this just makes it better
Thank you funny MLG montage man who I started watching like 8 years ago now for popping my country into the NR1 spot after a country review video due to the content swap from MLG to Commentary to Observer Politics. Pretty insane
Awesome video NFKRZ!
Greetings from Estonia, thanks for S tier!
